Herman Ze German in Camden

Habiendo estado en Berlín el mes de septiembre antes, hacía tiempo que anhelamos un buen currywurst alemán. Me encontré con esto por accidente y en realidad fue tan bueno. ¡Mejor que algunos de los Currywurst que obtuvimos en Berlín! Muy recomendable y muy buen servicio.

Es una cadena, por lo que hay varios restaurantes en el centro de Londres. Nosotros fuimos al que está cerca de Chinatown (zona de el Soho). El local es bastante acogedor, cuenta con una sala en el sótano que está bastante bien. Cenamos la salchicha chilli beef por 5,95 libras con panecillo, y podías elegir 2 ingredientes (yo elegí cebolla y queso) el ketchup era gratis. También pedimos patatas con queso, que estaban buenísimas!! En total nos costó 24,95 libras.

Soy un habitual en la ubicación de Charlotte Street. Las salsas son geniales, las salchichas suelen ser excepcionales y las papas fritas son fantásticas! De vez en cuando me sale una salchicha tibia y un ratón corre por la sección del sótano. Por lo tanto solo 4 estrellas. Pero muchos otros lugares sin duda obtendrían menos de 4 estrellas en tales casos.

nunca comimos, ya que nos dijo que si nos sentábamos abajo tendríamos que subir a pedir, a pesar de que le dijimos que estábamos listos para pedir y que ella estaba abajo parada junto a nosotros. Entonces que tendríamos que recoger nuestra comida nosotros mismos. salimos

I’ve been to the branch in Brum Grand Central, so I was pleased to come across this restaurant. I opted for a medium sized currywurst, and a German brewed beer on draught which was a big bonus. Service was decent, the food was brought over in good time and was tasty. Maybe not the greatest value but tasty and fun

Incompetent staff incredibly slow service..burnt food..missing items from the order ..we will never be returning.

The menu is simple but nice German fast food. The sausages are good and the combo offers works really well. The schnitzel can do with a revision of prep because they were quite dry and definitely ol and doube fried to give to customers. The worst thing was the restaurant hygiene and staff comittment. When we went there the whole crew were sitting at the outside tables smoking and there was no table available for smoking customers. They were happy for customers to go out and stand up to have a smoke while the crew have occupied the smoking table. The toilet area was stinking and the tables downstairs were left dirty for the duration of our visit while staff were chilling outside in the sun having a fag. Clear lack of interest from staff was a shame. This was our second visit since 2018 and last year we felt the crew were much better.

I've been to Germany lots of times and eaten lots of food, this place is as authentic as it gets, in fact it's better than a lot of places I went in Germany too. Can't recommend enough, the beer it awesome too.

Went to this place today, been meaning to go for ages. Really enjoyed the food, I had Ze Bratmeister with chips, I thought the melted cheese didn't go so I took it off. My wife and my son had Ze Uber Ding and really enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. It was my first visit but won't be my last.

Charming little place, friendly owner, excellent service, best salad (don't miss it!) and of course delicouls sausages. Perfect for a light dinner in a most pleasant location. I'd probably eat here a lot if I lived in London :-)

Very delicious Currywurst with a vegan option. It can come with some extras like gherkins and you can choose how spicy you want your sauce. Service is quick and easy.

7 of us came for dinner and drinks, having reserved a table - nobody took us down, table was only set for 5. Ordered our food at the bar and drinks too. One beer turned up, other 6 no idea what happened. 20 minutes goes by and we get drinks for most of us. 25 minutes gone and one persons meal. 30 minutes in and we go up to ask what’s happening - “we’re busy”. Hopeless waitress comes and asks if this is our food another time, not our food, she goes back upstairs with the food. 35 minutes in and a few more go up to ask again “I’ll send someone down to ask your order again” 40 minutes in and still no food for 6 of us, nobody has been back down to ask our order again. Some of the drinks arrive. 45 minutes and we go up again, “what was your order?” Finally after some negotiations she comes downstairs to take everyone’s order again. At the end she apologises for the problems and promises free beers for everyone - spoiler alert, they never came. 55 minutes in and some of the remaining food turns up, still missing meals for 2 and chips for two that have already had their meals. Final drinks we ordered almost an hour ago arrive. 60 minutes in and we go up to ask where the manager is and why it’s taken so long. “There’s been an emergency” “What emergency?” “It’s really busy time for us!” “Is it not busy at this time every week?” “I don’t work here I’m just helping out.” (At this point we’re still waiting but they’re still taking new orders - and serving them) And that is where the story has to end, some of us had to leave for another reservation so we left the ones who hadn’t eaten there. Apparently they got their food eventually and the manager “apologised a bit”. No free beers, no refunds, no compensation at all. I’d recommend basically anywhere else in London - McDonalds is much cheaper with better service for example.

Popped here for lunch, its always easy enough to get a seat in there. The staff were really friendly and the food was great. Will be going back soon.

I came here over a year ago by myself, but never ate after the kitchen managed to lose / forget about my order. Some new colleagues convinced me to give the place another try recently and almost unbelievably they forgot about two of our orders. Staff and process seem chaotic and a bit too laid back. Not particularly apologetic either. Plenty of nicer places near Charlotte St so don't waste your time.
