I’ve been to The Herd a few times and each time there’s been a theme of high quality food but absolutely abysmal service. I understand the place is relatively new but the service is getting worse, not better! On my most recent visit we had to ask to order our food and ask for our drinks after 25 minutes of waiting.. our food arrived another 15 minutes after that. I could also see that other tables were experiencing similar problems as the table beside us asked how much longer their food would be. Staff were also not clearing dirty plates from tables for a long time after the previous patrons had left. The food is very good and piping hot when it’s served. Unfortunately, it’s really not worth waiting 45 minutes for.

Enjoyed visit to Herd cafe, had a nice latte, staff very friendly. Food menu also very good - buffalo chicken very enjoyable and also great value. Can’t wait to get back to try the breakfast menu

The food is good, and very reasonably priced for what you get. There aren't many places offering the quality of food the Herd does around the local areas. The staff are lovely and clearly very busy due to the volume of people and orders in the café. The place has a lovely vibe to it as well, will certainly be back.

The café is located in a renovated church, with beautiful tall ceilings and stone walls. The coffee was done quickly and tasted fantastic (they also have lots of different coffee beverages to choose from, as well as delicious pastries, some baked in-house). The staff remain friendly and helpful despite being very busy every time I am there. I tried hot food when I was there last time - buttermilk chicken burger and fries. It tasted really good and definitely got value for money with the large size of the meal! I liked it so much I ended up returning there again half an hour later for more coffee, after doing my groceries next door!

I really wanted to like it here. It has potential but it was not great. We waited 45 minutes for our food and the cafe wasn't busy. We had 3 toddlers with us as well so you can imagine trying to entertain hungry toddlers. We had to ask a few times where the food was.. a good waitress will check on you and check with the kitchen if they see you've been waiting ages for your food and let you know. When we got the food, the chips were soo salty. Baring in mind children do not need added salt, the children's food should have no salt on it at all and none of them ate their chips which is really odd because they always eat chips, they were too salty for me let alone a 23 month old. The baby change should be in the disabled toilet especially since the men and women's toilet is up some stairs which you can't get up without help if you have a buggy. If you need to go to the toilet you have to leave your child outside the toilet door whilst you go to the toilet. The majority of establishments have a baby change in the disabled for this very reason. The food was overall good, everything else let's this place down.

It went in the bin.. genuinely the worst pizza I have ever had. I can’t even describe the base, it was like something you make as a child in school. Beef burger was frozen, unseasoned, dry.. really bad. Waste of £25!

Lovely family-run hotel. Great location for exploring Armagh. Rooms were spotlessly clean and plenty of space. We'll be back next time we're in Armagh for certain.

Was a restaurant but sadly no more it turned into a take away which still does the same great food
