Just had a fantastic meal at Herb and Spice Dukinfield. All really fresh food, great atmosphere and top notch service. Very busy too, full marks.

Very friendly & hospitable. Great curry - enjoyed everything. Good service, friendly staff and perfect atmosphere.

After moving down to Cornwall we visited our favourite Indian restaurant to receive an extremely warm welcome from the Owner and his staff - the food was exactly as we remembered absolutely brilliant. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area looking for a good traditional Indian restaurant.

Amazing curry house, local and easy to get too Staff are so friendly, excellent service, we went for the buffet and its fantastic, well worth the money

Herb and spice is one of the best restaurants in tameside. I have been coming here for 20 years. The food is impeccable and the service is second to none. I had a tandoori mix with madras sauce and it was spectacular.

Have been going to this restaurant every couple of months or so for 5+ years. Have never had a bad meal. Friendly staff and always a good experience

Went here on the 16th Feb 23 with friends. Service and food was really good With great ice cream to follow. Would recommend it to anyone who wanted a Indian restaurant.

I have had takeaways several times per month. The food is always hot, carefully packaged and delivered promptly. Food is tasty and lovely and fresh.

Visited this restaurant on Wednesday 28 December around 10pm with my two sons after being let down by Curry Cottage when they failed to acknowledge our booking. So we called to Herb & Spice in the hope that we could eat, we were greeted at the door by a gentleman who invited us in to dine without a prior booking, we were very grateful. Once inside all I can say was that the food was excellent, as was the service we received throughout. We couldn’t fault it and all agreed that we will definitely eat there again soon. Based on this visit I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Last night, 15 July, my partner and I ordered a takeaway at about 6 30 pm. It arrived over an hour later. We live about 1.5 mile's away. Just not at all impressed with the delivery times. Will try another takeaway next time. I am disappointed as we have been loyal to H and S throughout the lockdown and over the years. The irony is I could have knocked a curry up myself in 15 minutes so maybe I will in future.

Had a takeaway delivered a couple of weeks ago. It was nice enough but luke warm. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered again last week. Unfortunately, it was the same, just barely warm. Will try somewhere else next time.

Compared half a dozen local Indian restaurants and landed with here. Online ordering straight forward other than the chutneys. Ordered 3 and got 5, 2 wasn't on our list. Everything was good, piping hot and social distancing delivery. Lamb tikka jalfresi had a proper kick to it, the meat didn't quite fall apart which would usually happen.

Just returned from Herb and Spice, haven’t been since pre Covid, albeit have had some great take aways since they re-opened. Once again we all the family had fantastic meals. Great atmosphere quality food and great service. Everything really fresh and tasty. Nice to see good preparation for Covid/ hand gel/ cleaning etc. Looking forward to returning to the best restaurant in Tameside

Was going to eat out tonight but changed our plans and ordered takeaway. The young lady on the phone was so pleasant and friendly.The food was excellent and arrived on time. We like madras and it didn't disappoint tasty and spicy. Will definitely be ordering again. Defo worth a try!!!

Had a great takeaway , for 2, one of the best indian restaurants in tameside, their lamb chops are the best ever, but £4.45 for a flat pint of cobra was out of order.

Ordered a take away online and delivery time was confirmed as 8pm. By 9pm no take away, I phoned and was told, sorry it's running late and it would be with us in next few minutes. 45 minutes later still no food so I called again and was then told that actually they hadn't picked the order off the printer meaning they basically lied at 9pm. We had ordered once before with this restaurant and they missed items of the order but replaced them quickly so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.Such a shame as the food is really good but will never use them again as I hate being lied to. If they had been honest when I first called I probably would have accepted the explanation.

Been using this place at least twice a week for delivery and eating in for the last 4 years or so, I can honestly say in that time I have probably only ever had 1 curry that was just “ok” the rest have been excellent, quality service and the best in Tameside!!

Called in on the off chance Saturday evening (18:00). Hadn’t booked, but they was able to accommodate us. The choice is very good from Chef’s specials to normal Asian curries, tandoori meals, the service and food from coming in to leaving was excellent well worth a re-visit from us

Fab food as always ordered via just eat . Was delivered earlier than anticipated. Even though they’d missed something on our order , when I rang to make them aware , they were back with it in a flash . The whole order still arrived on time as promised when ordered . Great service guys

Went here for a Curry as part of a stag do. Food was good and good service for a busy place. Bit open plan for my liking though.

We had a family meal for our granddaughters 13th birthday on Sunday. Some of the party had the Sunday buffett and others ordered from the al a carte menu. All the food was tasty and the portions were very good. All the staff were very attentive and efficient. They were especially welcoming to our grandsons aged 1 and 4. Melissa loved the birthday dessert treat they brought out for her with a sparkler and a candle. We all had a fabulous time and will definitely be going again.

Group of 6, all lots to talk about but the team here were great. Service very good, food as described on the menu. I think we should have checked the bill before paying as it seemed a bit steep but lesson learned.

Went on Friday for a family meal The food is delicious well served no rush no hassle apart from the manager who we could hear from our table shouting and directing his waiters and we could see it in his face he was panicking as it was quiet busy, it’s not nice to see!!

Visited on the occasion of grandsons 30th birthday. Very modern decor. As it was a party of 40 there was a set menu , poppadoms with chutneys then a nice mixed stater followed by a selection of 6 different curries, due to the size of the party the service was a little slow, but acceptable.

We went to the buffet on the Sunday was really nice great choice of food and lovely service! Great value! We also had take away a few times always lovely and fresh and still hot aswel! Great with kids

This place definitely needs a refurb, not the best looking at all but anyway the food was okay, had better - staff were nice enough and helpful apart from when they tried overcharging us, seemed like a genuine mistake and it was only a fiver but still shouldn't happen. Also the menu needs to be a bit better explained in the way its wrote out as its not very clear what you get on the set menus or 2 for 1 deals. The place was also very quiet, so when its busy I don't know how they would cope. Overall it was nice for a change and the food was good for the price but we will not be rushing back.

They have some of the best Curry's around, we have one almost every week and they never disappoint. Food is always great but their can sometimes be lack of communication when ordering takeaways.

We go here to eat in quite a lot and the food and service is usually superb and have been loyal customers for many years!

My husband and I ate here on a Thursday evening while staying in the area. The place doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it's cosy and all the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The 2 for 1 offer was pointed out to us and we went for that which meant that 2 of us enjoyed starters, mains, rice, a delicious naan bread, poppadoms and the pickle tray and 2 drinks each for just over £30 which is amazing! All the food was lovely, particularly the bhajis which some restaurants just can't get right. I highly recommend this place.

I nearly walked straight in and out, it’s a bit dated and shabby at the corners, but it’s clean and the staff were very welcoming.

This restaurant is on the main road in duckinfield.it easy to get to and parking is round the back.the food is great and the service is friendly eat cheaply and you can get a drink brought to your table.everyone has a smile and can’t do enough to please you.its great for dinner out with a love one are as a family and friends.the food is definitely worth trying.its a great night out

I order from Here every week and never disappointed! Staff are every pleasant . I’ve gone there also a few times and they are great with kids and the room is really warm and cosy.

Went here for the Sunday buffet. Food was just average at best. Poor selection of curries on the buffet. No meat in the lamb curry just veg. Works out about the same price to order off the menu for what you pay for the buffet. Wouldn't bother going back again

I ordered things on the menu and they didn’t arrive. I am annoyed to order food it come early so wasn’t prepared and also things were missing if it would ave come on time maybe they would of got the order right also the rice was very watery

Just want to say a really big thank you to Mr Dee for the surprise we got with this order. I had reason to complain a couple of weeks ago but he was true to his word. This delivery was 100% amazing food superb and hot delivery early and a voucher to say sorry. What an amazing restaurant thank you

Always love this place but twice now it's been late and cold. Complained first-time and they said we could have voucher called again tonight they have no record of first complaint tonight again food was late and cold. Shouldn't have to microwave takeaway from up the road

I Really enjoyed my first visit to the Herb & Spice (7.00pm. Saturday). Mixed starter and one of the chef recommendations - nice food in my opinion. Could not fault the service, but restaurant was less than half full, so one would expect the service to be excellent.

A fantastic place for a curry always hot plenty of choice great staff and management. Even when it's busy they always make time to welcome you. Also a fantastic place to hold a party.

Four friends had great dinner - seriously good food, quick service and very reasonably priced. Our waiter had the glummest expression (possibly because the large space was totally empty on a friday night and we arrived unannounced at 9.45pm!) but he was very efficient. Would definitely go again.

After reading the reviews thought we would give it a try.... Placed order online & paid in full via card. Once placed an extra 30minutes was added to the delivery time wasn't too phased with it being a Saturday evening.... After an hour the food arrives only to be told by the driver he needs an extra £3 for the order the restaurant staff had hand written a note on the receipt to say we need to pay this extra charge! Asked what is the charge for which he advised its for the popadoms & dips (which we never ordered) driver then asked me to call the restaurant to speak to them. I asked the gentleman on the phone about this and he confirmed it was indeed for the extras but we didn't order them! Most places give you popadoms complimentary if spending over a certain amount (order value was over £26) but that's besides the point! Paying in full via card for your order to save messing around at the door to be greeted with your food and a extra amount to pay for something we never ordered! All this headache while our food was sat there going cold.... Needless to say we didn't pay the extra! When finally got to sit down to eat we was very disappointed with the meals half portions of curry in the tubs and wasn't very tasty! Cant say we will be ordering again! :( Such a shame

I'll probably only ever order from here in future. Ordered the chefs special biriyani and it was like proper homemade food rather than your boring bog standard takeaway food. It was amazing. And it's good to have the choice of which sauce you have with it, I had rogan josh sauce and it was so good. Food arrived in very good time and the gent delivering was friendly. Onion bhajis were huge and fresh and the puri was great too. Just great quality food 👌🏻

Always love the food from here, confusing delivery notification though stating that the restaurant have added 30 mins to delivery time and then there's a knock at the door, not sure if there is some sort of glitch butit's happened twice. Anyway can't fault this place it's always great and the delivery guys are always friendly.

2nd time we've ordered from here and 2nd time our delivery has arrived with things missing. Also this time the wrong dish was delivered.

Ordered drinks only from this takeaway. We do this once every month when we enjoy a takeaway. Unfortunately because I don't enjoy the food here I order food from a different take away. When the drinks were delivered the delivery man was very rude to us and stated that we are no longer allowed to just order drinks from this place. This is the 2nd time we have ordered drinks separate and that's because we stopped ordering the food. I am disgusted with the way he spoke to us and said to take it up with his manager. I had no issue with the circumstances- I understand it's probably not worth the takeaways time on cost of petrol to deliver the drinks but it was the customer service (if you can call it that) that we received. You have lost our custom and we won't be ordering from here anymore

H&S is one the best curry houses around. I regularly go with family, friends and partner. There is plenty of choice and the food is very authentic. Staff are great and they handle large groups well. Also, set menu's in the side room when pre booked are great. Absolutely fabulous.

Waiters very slow with both drinks & food order. Took several attempts to re-order drinks. Some food was initially well over-cooked & following complaints, was replaced with same. However, food was then undercooked & served raw in the middle. Selection of beer very limited. For the price paid, quality of food & level of service, would have been better going to the local Nandos restaurant.

The curry had no taste it was bland. We had 3 starters and they didn't send no salad or mint sauce. The lid on the curry tray was open and was everywhere and the lamb chops was pink in side. We will never eat there again…

First visit after listening to locals saying how good it was. Upon entering 4 ladies were leaving, which just left us two in the whole place - a bit daunting but the food and service was great. Only gripe, they didn't advise us of the 2 for 1. Definitely worth a visit.

Arrived on time. However, due to the number in our group (20) the wait was longer than I had anticipated especially as they had just opened and so we were the only customers in their initially. Once seated the standard of service did improve.The poppadoms were fresh and very nice. Our starters arrived promptly and despite it appearing to be slightly chaotic everyone was served with the correct food.Our main meals again took a while to arrive and be served. And to be honest I was very pleased with the dish. My curry was very tasty and hot although the same cannot be said for the rice as this was barely warm.Others in the group also had criticisms around portion size, heat of food and of course the standard if service.

Went here Saturday 18th march,starters very good but i,m afraid i had to send the mains back,had sirloin steak ,it wasn't sirloin to start with,i couldn't cut it with a steak knife as it was all gristle and fat,to top it off the mushrooms was sliced tinned served raw,suffice to say i will not be going again.i didn't even receive an apology.

I'm so glad I did it was delicious , I will defo be having this again. All the food was beautiful & hot. We did not book but were found a seat straight away on a busy saturday evening, The drinks order came quickly and our food order was taken fairly quickly, however we waited 50 minutes for the starters to arrive, admittedly there was a large birthday party in there but we didnt expect to wait that long. The mains did come fairly soon after the starters have finished. The food was tasty and the dishes we ordered were very spicy. There was a query with the bill whereby we had been charged twice for drinks, however this was quickly resolved without dispute. If you like a spicy prawn dish go for the chilli chingri. Wont go back in a hurry as there are many more much better indian restaurants in the area.
