I went into the social club with a couple of friends for a chat and a drink. The staff are all very polite and friendly and joined in with the conversation as they knew the people I was with. The club has a couple of pool tables, a kiddies play area with some video games machines and there are a number of tables and chairs for when the club puts on different activities (bingo, music etc). I will add to this review as I get to see more of the caravan site. Update on 06/09/24 : I forgot to add that there is a large area of grass that the children are allowed to run around and wear themselves out in which is a part of the clubhouse and is fenced in so, your children are safe and you can rest in peace ( and rest yourselves) in the comfort and safety of the Helyg Fach caravan site Clubhouse. And, don't forget that when your children have worn themselves out, they can come in and sit down with you and you can all get something nice to eat and drink before you take the kids and watch them fall asleep in no time. I'll keep updating this review as I find new things to report.

Nice little club with a room for kids to play pool and hang out. It is quite a chilled place serving food as well as drinks. People are friendly and not too far to walk to the caravan.

Me and my family visited the Helyg Fach Caravan Site today during our walk. We viewed the three properties advertised for sale at the front of the park, and the state they were in was unacceptable. There was multiple dead flies in the first two we viewed and then i cant say there were less than 100 dead flies in the third. It almost made us think someone had died inside and that could be the only excuse for so many. Please get this looked at as it will put off so many potential customers. Also, the building on the left upon entry looks abandoned and needs a good make over.

Took holiday in the caravan site over the October half term and dined in the clubhouse. Absolutely great! The staff were super friendly and were so warm and welcoming. The bar and facilities are clean and well presented. My children had a great time playing and there was lots of organised events for them to attend. There is a child pool table as well as adult pool tables and machines to play on. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge! We even sat next to another family who travel from another campsite as the meals are so good. Activities such as Bingo, quiz nights, singers are seemingly on a weekly basis. They are well organised and well attended. A great night out and the bar is dog friendly for those late walks.

The bar staff are friendly and professional. Josie does a fantastic job of running it. Jan in the kitchen works very hard. Even though the menu has been cut due to COVID there is still plenty of choice you can order in advance food is cooked fresh to order and is always hot and on time. Prices are great. Portions are huge. Well worth every penny and a visit. Family run and family friendly including the securebeer garden. Dogs are also welcome.

Miserable welcome and very average food. Plus 2 hour 40 minute wait only for abuse from "cook" in kitchen for questioning delay. Best to eat in the village.

Been here for 14 years now. Super friendly, good club, fences allowed, build your own deck, no van age limit, £2400 pa . can't fault it. !/ Left last year. It's all changing there. Management tell blatant lies, make promises they dont keep. Treat owners like rubbish and if you challenge them over anything you are either threatened with eviction from the site ie a crane moves your van off pitch and out, at your expense. Or worse you are told you are leaving. Age limit on vans now apply and charges for admin, pitches etc all rocketing up. All above is my own personal experience. You've been warned. Find another site.

Lots of caravans and I saw a cat on top of a caravan that was pretending to be a rock to catch bird but bird was too smart and was carrying small shark for protection that tried to nip at cat but then cat had obviously been working at nasa and pulled out a lightweight 500 gigawatt laser, aimed at shark, missed and leveled a tree that was covered in cows that could fly, before finally adjusting aim to turn shark into shark steaks. Bird did also not make it. Caravan went on fire too. So in conclusion cat is too be respected and caravan needs rebuilding.

Went for a visit Saturday with the view to maybe buying a van....nice views...but that's it....!!! With the exception of a few well kept caravans the rest of it looks like a shanty town from the back of Africa...in my opinion scruffy and shabby ...one caravan even had a tarpoling draped over it !!! No way would I buy a van on here...even dog mess outside on the path by the club house... complete waste of day visiting.

Had a wonderful holiday over Easter Our Son and his wife and two boys spent the Holiday weekend with us and friends joined us for the rest of the week. The cottage is very comfortable warm and cosy with every thing we needed. Shame about the 'recycling plant' on the road towards the cottage but once at the cottage the views are lovely. Thank you to the owners for their hospitality.

I was a caravan owner on the site for 2 yrs when i upgraded , which i purchased from the onsite dealer , whome i was told had the contract for the sales and purchasing of all Vans . They removed the van from the site which then left a foot print . Where a new base was constructed for the new van , which was considerably, later than promised . In addition i purchased decking from the site manager ,from 2 caravans which were being removed from the site. And then prepared it for instalation at the plot , i paid a considerable ammount for a top end red cedar shed aprox £800 . SEE PICS BELOW. My personal circumstances then changed shortly after , and decided to sell the van. Which is where this site becomes unpleasant , they offered halve the value i paid for the van , took nothing into consideration for the decking , and the other works i applied to the plot ! The sale which i had no choice but to accept, didnt inlude the shed ! Which i dismantled and asked the park manager to store until i collected it . Which then disapeared ! This caravan site is a cloak of decept.managed by a imaginative people ,.

OK, so I'm slightly biased as I have a holiday home at Helyg Fach. However, credit where credit is due. The club is large, airy and well decorated with two bars and a games room for the kids. Good selection of draught and bottled beers at reasonable prices. The menu has something for everyone on it and the food is very good indeed and served promptly. The staff are very friendly and make residents and visitors very welcome. The quiz on a Friday is always good fun (no prizes, that would spoil it, it's just for fun)and generates loads of friendly banter. Entertainment during the busier times of the season on a Saturday night is usually of a high standard with many acts returning by popular demand.

Restaurant attached to the hotel, straight out of the 00s, complete with soundtrack. Excellently done but standard fare for mains, rib-eye (proper homemade chips), lamb and mash, decent burger. However the desserts were top drawer, very good creme bru, well done affogato and a show stopper of a banana cheese cake. Only fault was the squeaky chairs, annoying and distracting!

The Falcondale has a good location with stunning views. The waiting staff were all very good, the choice of dinner menu was very limited and not 'a la carte'. Unfortunately the quality of the Welsh breakfast was very poor.

Food was ok but the only vegetarian option available was a fake chicken breast that was hanging around in the freezer. Previous reviews said that booking was essential but we were the only ones eating there at 7.30 on a Friday evening. It was early May so maybe they don’t get busy yet and the full menu wasn’t available. Not really what we were expecting from the previous rave reviews.
