Amazing pizza and very fast and friendly!!! Really nice that sparkling water was free of charge!

Visited whilst staying in a nearby holiday park, pizza is absolutely superb. I would highly recommend, great atmosphere and vibe, staff were great. Would go as far as saying one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Seen a few reviews mention prices, agree it’s not the cheapest but still highly reasonable and the quality and taste speaks for itself, absolutely no issues paying for something when it’s this good - service was superb too. Also found reading the owners responses to reviews highly entertaining reading We will be back.

Best pizza in town and fast service. Amazing pizza dough. Appreciate the business idea and the quality of the ingredients. The craft soda is a bit flavourless & I wished they had more vegetables available as pizza toppings.

Can’t begin to describe how lovely the staff are here, and how delicious the food was!! I got a cheese garlic bread and it was to die for 😍 Also as someone with a tomato intolerance, the way the staff were more than happy to accommodate by offering to make a pizza with a garlic base, I cannot recommend this place more. Will absolutely be coming back ♥️♥️♥️

Decent enough pizzas although they could not offer the two, very common, toppings that we asked for - we've NEVER experienced this is any other pizza restaurants. Very poor starters - no prep nor imagination involved. Bill arrived showing a 10% service charge (which we paid without fuss) however, we did not expect this as, as far as we could see, this wasn't displayed anywhere. In our experience, regular, small pizza eateries like this don't usually push any kind of service charge on customers. We won't be back and won't recommend it. Went in tired and bedraggled after completing the JMW, got a lovely warm and friendly welcome! Food was incredible and came quickly, and the coffee was lovely. We were in after one of our group had already been and recommended so we will definitely be back xx

Lovely place well worth a visit

We were staying overnight in Dunbar and couldn't decide between Indian or pizza. The pizza option pipped the Indian and what a lovey surprise, the pizza's were absolutely brilliant! Couldn't recommend it enough, one of the best pizza's I've had in the UK and believe you me, I've had some of the best pizza's in Italy.

Absolutely delicious pizza!! Fresh toppings and great menu choices, both the classics and some more innovative options. Honestly better than any pizza I've had in Edinburgh. Really great service as well!

After our coasteering experience in Dunbar, myself and a wee friends popped into Hector's for a couple of pizza to replenish the energy spent, you ken. The wee lad who was at our service was very nice, carried a smile and was helpful with suggesting what would suit our palates. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves with lively banter and hot pizza.

Unexpected taste from hector’s garlic special and if you are a fan of garlic bread pizza base with mushrooms and spring onions deffo recommend it 😋 also lovely customer service nice waiter 🙂‍↕️ everything is lovely YAY‼️

A visit to Dunbar with my son and we popped in for a pizza as it looked nice from outside, no surprise it was nice inside also, absolutely delicious pizza, great friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. Thanks guys.

Great pizza, friendly & helpful staff

Popped in for something while visiting Dunbar. Absolutely brilliant. Meatballs perfect, sauce lovely, base seriously thin. A gem of a place. Will definitely be in again if I get a chance.

We stopped by hungry one evening, and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Ordered the bellhaven banger, linton meatball, nduja, and the local chicken pizzas. Each got high marks from the person who chose them. At 2/3 eaten, we then started to swap pieces. The near- consensus of our group was the chicken pizza came out on top. But each of these was very nicely done with light yeasty dough, not overpowered with cheese, and really great local sourcing of ingredients. We also really liked the restaurant and loved being on the top level with views of the rest of the restaurant and nice lighting. Also, really nice service. (BTW, we liked the food so much, there was none left). Great job.

This is a fine example of keeping it simple and doing it well. They do pizza and do it really well. Tasty fresh cooked pizza, quick friendly service and a great buzz on a cold wet Scottish July Tuesday. Definitely be going here again next time I'm in town

Started coming here a few months back. I’m not a big lover of pizza until I found this place. They source everything locally, organic meats and do everything to reduce their carbon footprint. Every pizza has been delicious. Their dough is suitable for gluten free diners, also with a nice barrelled Tempranillo red wine. The staff are so nice and attentive and always make sure they suit what you ask for. Highly recommended this place!

We saw Hectors online and stopped in for dinner after checking a few other restaurants in Dunbar. We had a great night - good beers, better pizza and awesome atmosphere - live music 🎶 was great and we would definitely visit again Thanks Hectors for a great night!

Went last night for dinner on a solo business trip. Food was so fresh and tasty. Service was great. Would highly recommend

Quiet when we were there but absolutely fabulous service, delicious pizza and great mini pitta breads served with Doddington cheese!

This pizzeria is the perfect place for a date, I went with my boyfriend and the rustic atmosphere was a nice change from any other generic restaurant. The menu is small but high quality, with vegan pizza options too. It also has refillable £3 soda which is affordable especially for students.

Quite place (at least during a weekday) with great pizzas in offer. Had the pepperoni and Nduja which were top notch with Nduja having a nice spice to it. The pizza dough is awesome making it a great experience. They have only one beer on tap which is good but also has other options.

Amazing pizza, tastes like it’s from Italy couldn’t be better. We got served really quickly and the staff were really nice! The arcade machine at the front door was really good, it had 1000 games!

All the way from NZ and this was brilliant. Everything was great. Best coffee had so far in Scotland. Pizza was yum and we had the ham one and chicken one. Thought for start that we would have left overs but ate the lot. Thanks Hector's for a great meal.

Just visited Hector's for late lunch pizza. We had meat feast and ham with mushroom. I can honestly say they were the best pizzas we've had in Scotland. Very tasty, good pizza bases and cooked with quality toppings. We travelled all the way from North Berwick on a wet dreary Bank Holiday Monday but it was definitely worth the journey. They also catered for our 2 dogs, even gave them a plate of ham each, which was very kind. The service was done with professionalism, a smile and efficiency. The only reason I have 4 * for atmosphere was that it felt cold and we'd come in out of the cold and rain so needed warming up. I would highly recommend this venue for decent traditional pizzas. We followed recommendations and were not disappointed 👍

We always visit here when we come to Dunbar. The premises, staff and food are really good. Pizzas are lovely. My only criticism is that the range of food and drinks is comparatively small, so can't give five stars.

The best pizza in Scotland. I traveled to many places and tried artisan pizza in Motherwell, Dundee, Callander, Edinburgh and I have to say that this pizza is by far the best. It is 100% worth a drive from Edinburgh to Dunbar and back. I had already tried a few pizzas on a few occasions and they were all absolutely delicious. They also use organic ingredients in their toppings which is rare.

We got a takeaway pizza from here as we were staying in a flat around the corner. Speedy service and a decent price. The pizza was brilliant. Couldn't fault it!

Best pizza in East Lothian and dog friendly 🍕

I ate here last week with my wife, as it came recommended and had good reviews. The pizzas are fairly good, I’d rate them around 8/10 and the toppings we chose were tasty and generous. What I would warn diners to look out for is the misleading claim that “All pizzas can be made half size, half price”, according to their website and their menu. Either the owner doesn’t understand basic maths or, worse, he does and is knowingly tricking people. A 6” pizza is a quarter of the size of a 12” pizza (28.26 sq in vs 113 sq in) so you are actually paying twice as much as you should for it! Edited at 18:22 18/11/23 to respond to owner’s reply: Thanks for your unprofessional reply, Hector. I note you don’t offer an explanation for the misleading pricing, which suggests that it’s deliberate. Will you correct your website and your menus so as not to continue deceiving customers about ‘half-sized’ pizza costs?

Absolutely delicious pizzas. Boys said they were the best they ever tasted. The garlic chicken pizza was amazing too!! Highly highly recommend.

A really good pizza shop take away or sit in - the best vegan mozzarella substitute I've tries and a decent price - couldn't ask for more highly recommended!

Maybe I went to this place on a bad night as all the other review pictures of pizzas looked lovely. Not sure what went wrong but mine was dreadful. Knew it as soon as it came out and was swimming with liquid on top that all was not right. Very undercooked and just stooge. As pizzas went it was well below average and there was no imagination or flair whatsoever. As pizzas go... I would struggle to give 2 out of 10... I think I will stick to my home cooked Lidl ones in future but it did fill a hole.. just. Nice enough place...nothing to rave about. Staff were good. Poor selection of drinks. Artisan?? Hilarious.. I will now await the non sensical response from the owner who obviously cannot take things on the chin.

Incredible pizza! Best I’ve had at a restaurant. And the prices are fab! When we arrived, we was seated at the top seating section above the bar. I was super happy with the table up top & the atmosphere was great. You could see the staff making all the fresh pizza below. The Service was quick & the staff was friendly and attentive with the bottomless drinks, even when the restaurant got packed, the staff was still caring for our table. We will definitely be back before our holiday ends. Ps, the desserts looked amazing, can’t wait to try!

Best pizza in Dunbar and through no fault of there own the delivery was late so she added a drink and milkshake for free, 5/5 would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a pizza

What a great little find in Dunbar. The food is delicious, Galf size pizza is available for half the price. All toppings are sourced within 30 miles of the restaurant.. Desserts are great . Worth a visit for sure. Delivery and collection available.

We arrived at a very busy time, but we didn't have to wait very long before they cleared a table to accommodate us. Service thereafter was timely and the pizzas very good.

The pizza was excellent and the service was great. Keep in mind that the "half size pizza for half the price" is actually 1/4 the area of the large pizza.

Maybe I was hungry but I’m struggling to think of a pizza I have enjoyed more in my life. I think they might be using awesome tomatoes- who cares?!? I’ll be back. Loved the free arcade machine too.

Headed into Dunbar following the final days play at the Scottish Open (Sunday) - not a lot open at the time we wanted to eat but found Hector’s. Really friendly waiting staff and excellent pizzas, which were cooked to perfection. Good choice of drinks and ice- cream and sweet of the day (red velvet cheesecake) was fab. We would highly recommend a visit!!

Just visiting Dunbar for the golf and we came across this place. Great pizzas. You can have a full pizza or half and you can Mix and match. Nice atmosphere , cool background music, good staff and they accommodated us as they were busy . Impressed from someone who has owned restaurants. X

One of the best pizzas I have tasted

Fantastic service and superb pizza. Delivery was bang on time. Quality of dough and toppings was fabulous.

Waited a long time for pizza and came with not much meat on it. To top it off we got an expensive service charge like some posh restaurant in London in a poor town which is ridiculous. Much better options for pizza in the town where you don't get charged for waiter service that takes ages. Updated: Has now closed Umbertos for a bland burger place with a limited menu dull decor. It really amazes me we let this guy with an attitude problem own a monopoly in the town but won't let chains in like Subway, KFC, Wetherspoons or Toby Carvery which this highstreet desperately needs before it disappears

It's worth the visit. Lovely freshly made to order. We had garlic chicken and mushrooms pizza. My mouth is still watering at the thought of it. We had red velvet cheesecake for afters. Oh my goodness, I can highly recommend this lovely clean, very friendly place

주문하면 그 자리에서 바로 구워주는 이탈리아식 화덕 피자. 6" Linton meatball과 12" Sausage 피자를 주문. Sausage 피자는 도우가 조금 탔지만 맛있었고, 둘 중에는 meatball 피자가 더 맛있었다. 영국 외식물가치고 저렴했고, 로컬 맛집인지 18시 정도인데도 테이블이 꽤 차 있었고, 포장해가는 사람들도 많았다. 하나 아쉬운 점은 Soda를 주문했는데, 컵에서 냄새가 나서 음료를 마실수가 없었다. 컵을 씻고나서 닦는 행주에서 냄새가 나는 듯했다. 리필 가능한 음료 메뉴였지만 한 컵도 다 제대로 마시지 않고 나왔다. 이것 때문에 별 하나 뺐고, 나머지는 만족스러웠다.

Absolutely amazing! If you like pizza, this is the place for you. I would strongly recommend the chorizo. Very well priced, we got 2 12in pizzas & 2 refills for less than £35 & it was the best pizza I’d ever eaten. Definitely try it!
