Great place for families to explore the countryside

Great stay at Heather View, Caravan in great condition and spotlessly clean. There's a short cut path at the back of the site which gets you into Stanhope in about 10-15 mins walking time. Friendly staff. We've stayed at the Wooler Verdant site a few times but first time here and it's just as good and will definitely be back.

Love this place especially as now letting dogs in clubhouse which is great if weather not too good. Been few times & still great for walks into village etc.

Road up to the caravan park one way when approaching, needs a mirror or something on the bridge, as you're screwed if something is coming the other way. The park has a ridiculous amount of speed bumps, wouldn't be so bad if they were small ones, but very high, so catch the bottom of your car, if have a lower one like my BMW. Regardless of how slow you go. Park set out well, looked clean and tidy. We had a deluxe caravan, so had a bench outside. The caravan was filthy! Steps on way in muddy, hadn't been hoovered, so floor was dirty. The sides in kitchen hadn't been wiped, the cooker top was disgusting, the bin hadn't been emptied of previous guests rubbish, even inside the cupboards some of the cups were dirty. Whole place not cleaned at all ! We arrived quite late, so had to wait til the next morning to speak to reception. The lady on reception was unwelcoming, and didn't seem bothered. I actually had to ask if they could go and clean it, she did not offer. Also another day when visiting reception to ask about days out..as says on the website that they have deals with certain places A different lady was there and seemed like she couldn't be bothered to help, did not offer anywhere, just said 'there's leaflets in cabin next door'. So very unhelpful. My teens and I walked down to the bar and grill one evening as thought would be nice to have a relaxing drink by the river, as the location is quite lovely Wish we hadn't, groups of people, that seemed like regulars as knew all the bar staff, were very loud and letting their kids screech and ride up and down on their bikes on the decking in the seating area. Was ridiculous, so we didn't finish our drinks and left We've been to loads of holiday parks over the years, and never experienced something like this. Left a day early and would not recommend unless you have young children and don't mind all of the above. Very dissapointed.

Just got back from a four night break with my family, from start to finish we felt relaxed and made to feel welcome by everyone. The caravan was good and clean, the whole park was well looked after and clean. We spent quite a lot of time in the bar and grill lovely sat next to the river, it was a nice place and I feel it could even be better with more things to do, and more entertainment etc moving forward. Our kids loved playing in the parks and making new friends but I just wonder what it would be like if the weather was wet, I feel there would not be much else to do. The location is great, lovely walks we think Stanhope a mile away is lovely and quaint, again the whole area and community is nice and kind hearted people. We took a trip to beamish just a 40 min drive great day out! I would not hesitate to go back if the price was right. Thanks to everyone and heather view leisure park we really enjoyed our stay

This is a caravan park, I was visiting friends. Yes, the park is very clean , lovely views, a play area for children to play on in the grounds, and also in the club house. Club house has entertainment on , see the bill board for info, and small games room, plus food and drink. River runs down the side of it.

Welcome voucher for the first day couldn't be used as the resturant had the wrong menu on (makes no sense) Manager said he would honor it the next day but will not be going back for food Ordered anyway with slow bar service who seemed clueless which explains the long line. Bar staff cant change kegs either so it seem like the manager is the only one doing the work and putting out "fires" Food came, Jerk chicken burger was plain and didn't come with anything on it, missing stuff it had said it comes with on Menu. Vegan partner had chips and then offered vegan pancakes with vegan ice cream. Kids food was good tho. Manager said he was going to bring cutlery and Knapkins but he didn't come back so I found them myself 10mins later. Asked for the desert and after waiting for a bit he comes back to apologise saying they don't have the ice cream so he was going to offer us a refund for the desert and chips (I didn't ask for the refund, he offered) He Never came back so after 45mins we just left. In the morning went to make toast and all the electrics went off, switch fuse and still didn't work. No answer on any number I called so I walked to reception which was closed and then to the bar (which I also rang) A chef was waiting at the door to start work and I told him the problem and he's really went out of his way to fix the problem and change the faulty equipment. Thank you for going above and beyond to help! Still waiting for him to come back so review could change Most plates a bowls in caravan were full of dust and dirty If it wasn't for that chef all my fridge food would have went bad and with the onsite resturant being a dispointment we would have had no food Been here 1day and I already want to leave

Had a nice stay here.Dog friendly plenty of walks from the park. The staff were great, the park is kept immaculately. Bit expensive on the drinks at the club house. overall a great place to stay. (Watch out for the midges) .

Had a lovely few days away, excellent location, lots of places to visit quite close by, hopefully I'll be back again soon.

It’s a leisure/ caravan park so can’t comment on rooms as such however’ every static caravan we saw was in amazing condition & presented well. The grounds were immaculate & although lots of people around it was nice & quiet. The staff at the clubhouse were very polite & worked hard,but they do need more staff. Lovely to sit by the river whilst having a spot of lunch & a drink. Local Chinese delivered to the entrance & shops are literally 10-15 walk.

Beautiful place, lovely staff,we had an accessible van, took our dog. Lovely restful time.

Very nice location. Be careful if your car is loaded, as the speed bumps are quite high.

We looked at the park with a view to buying a static caravan. Our appointment was with Steph, and she was really lovely, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We looked at several units and were interested in a particular one that was available immediately. The park was beautiful with plenty to do. A lovely large club house with a 5 rating and lots of entertainment for all ages. We were told by one of the caravan owners that the food is delicious. The site is very tidy site in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, we decided not to go ahead at this time, but Heather View is a site we'd consider in the future.

The caravan was clean and tidy and well equipped. The welcome package with tea/coffee etc is a lovely touch. However, due to unforseen circumstances we arrived later than we expected. I called ahead and was advised that security would let me in and the number would be on the reception door. On arrival there was no number on the door. After almost an hour of driving around we found the restaurant and were able to check in. The manager was very polite and apologetic but advised the restaurant/bar wasn't dog friendly. The whole point of coming to a dog friendly park was so that we could enjoy time away with our dog and had to locate dog friendly facilities in neighbouring towns. In addition, despite various dog waste bins being located around the site, there were copious amounts of dog fouling scattered around. Not good. As dogs are instructed to be kept on leads, pet owners clearly know when they've fouled. I found myself picking up other dogs waste around our caravan rather than step on it when dark. I don't think we'll be returning to the site in the future.
