Heald Green Beefeater in Manchester

Food was a bit cool. The Waitress dropped a chip on the floor when the food arrived and just left it there. Drinks very expensive.

VERY overpriced & VERY small portions Photos below, TINY bowl of cheesy chips £5! Cheap oven chips with cheese sauce Lasagna TINY portion £15! Oh & the sweetcorn was rotten! This was served to my kids! Not even 1 star worthy!

We had a table booked for 20.30. Was told to wait at the bar as our table wasn't ready yet. Ordered 2 drinks 1 of which had to be sent back due to be given in a very dirty glass. We was then told that we would get our food quicker if we ordered in the bar area rather than waiting for the table we actually booked in the restaurant. Appetisers was absolutely fine however the main was overpriced and below average. Chips were undercooked and the steak was completely different to how we asked for it (grey inside). Staff clearly wasn't very well trained and didn't want to be there. Only advantage was that it is near the airport

Very disappointed, beefeater has always been a all you can eat style breakfast, at heald green they ask you what you want and bring it out to you which in my opinion is not all you can eat, it took a long time to get served even though there were only a few people in also was only lukewarm it was only about 07.30 ,sorry would not recommend this beefeater to anyone (i think it's rubbish)

We call in regularly on a Monday morning for a team breakfast after a week of nights. Staff is always friendly, with a great choice of food. Free parking.

Had an evening meal here on Saturday. The food was good, but the service by Niall made the evening. He was attentive, professional and an asset to the company.

Great little place near home. Perfect to catch up with friends and having drinks.

Food was okay but took over half an hour for them to take our order and by the time we got served we didn't want eat. And then when we got the ladies attention her reply was you having hot breakfast now but that's what we originally requested

We were a table of 10, lovely service by our waiter Sonny, the food came out fast and was very nice, will come again.

Table booked for 6pm, restaurant was decently busy, we were sat in an enclave which was great to keep the kids sat down. Sonny our waiter was very helpful and patient , made us laugh too.

On a cold Tuesday night, the place was quite empty and we (and the other non-booked customers were only seated in the area adjacent to the door. And in a through way for all customers, so it wasn’t relaxing. So the area felt cold and got colder every time the door opened. It wasn’t a bad experience, but a ubiquitous/generic chain restaurant with not much to draw us back.

Megan an absolute star, very attentive and charming she made me smile and was so cheery, lovely to see such a hard working young lady we’ve joined the bonus club and intend popping in regularly

Good service, people behind the bar super friendly and food came out considerably quick. Not the best tasting food but it’s alright.

Food was great, especially the £16.99 starter deal for 4 starters. Niall provided brilliant service, very charismatic and charming. Atmosphere is great and lighting is nice.

Myself and my husband love coming here for steaks. Whenever Niall has served us he’s always been friendly, fast and diligent. Hands down the best server in the Beefeater :)

Trainee staff needed better leadership. Evening meal overcooked,but not hot. Staff showed lack of interest in bar. Hotel itself was good and receptionist excellent

Called in for tea after leaving the Airport, Standard chain pub / food - you know what you're getting and can't really go wrong. Service was good.

What you expect from a beefeater

Honestly the best value breakfast around. Nice lady took our order and there was continental brekkie and full english for 9.99. Also you can choose as much as you want. Bonkers!!! Also do good beer and food later in the day too.

Food was good for a chain but not the Corn on the Cob, soggy and tasteless. Guy on the bar was a credit, easy to talk too and we all actually had a laugh with him, booked a table for 12 of us but only 8 came so they let us switch tables. Will go again even if it's just to have a laugh with the bar man, he gets 10 out of 10

Food was ok slightly overpriced for what you get however this is to be expected for somewhere attached to a premier inn that is quite close to the airport! The front of house staff is what makes this place great, called as staying at the attached hotel for a bite to eat, was greeted by a friendly team seated immediately and drinks ordered within minutes. Our waitress Cathy was fantastic, really friendly and outgoing as she took time to get to know her customers! Thank you for a great visit!

Hot water for tea not ready at 7.10 when they open for breakfast at 7 - people not happy. Food quality pretty mediocre at best

All you can eat breakfast for £9.99. Great value. Waited for 5 minutes to be seated even though staff looked straight at us. After being seated we were told continental breakfast was help yourself. Pancakes, crumpets, toast was really good. After ordering for our hot breakfast it after 10 minutes or so. Bacon was over cooked for me, poached egg was nice.

Surprised Whitbread still call this a Beefeater, not a patch on others around (Macclesfield & Stockport). Dark, Dingy! Dirty tables, Did not stop. Would even struggle to meet the grade as a Brewers Fayre

Excellent value if you've got an early flight out of Manchester Airport. We ate at the Beefeater, which was easiest. But there's a Wetherspoon 10 minute walk down the road if you prefer..

Lovely food 😋 had salmon salad and was pleasantly surprised of how nice it was. There was a big group of us and food came out reasonably time wait.

I have to be honest, this is the worst quality food i have EVER bought while out. Chicken with burnt edges, ribs are dry a tast like they are off, sausage over cooked and burnt at one end and coleslaw was greasy and disgusting! Only decent thing was the chips and the beer. I'm sure when i was a kid the beefeater was a good place for meat, not any more! Avoid!!

We went to another Beefeater and they were happy to offer the 3 course evening menu.

Meal deal with primer inn booked with company,no tables and had to eat in bar not very relaxing very noisey

Absolutely rubbish. All you can eat breakfast no bacon eggs looked like they were cooked the day before, sausages tough and everything luke warm. Refused to pay for it which the supervisor accepted. Will not be going back in a hurry.

We normally eat at springwood park beefeater so thought we would give heald green a go big mistake. We came for a roast dinner which at 6 o'clock wasn't available we should have left at that point. The food took ages to come out and was not good the chips were over done the coleslaw had been scrapped off the plate and the waiter looked at me as if I had done it when we complained although he did go and get some more put on the plate the presentation of the food was poor. People were complaining all around about waiting so long the overall place was not good dirty tables, plates piled up near the till the toilets were a mess. We will not be dining here again.

We had a classic English breakfast with open buffet. The food was very good and the ambiance was familial.

Natasha was our waitress tonight and i couldn’t have asked for a better server. anything we needed she got, nothing was too much trouble for her. 10/10 waitress. couldn’t have made our visit any more special.

Food was good but service very slow, and not busy.

Had. A fabulous birthday meal here yesterday. We were initially not greeted at the waiting point for around 8 minutes. Servers walked past us a few times without even glancing in our direction. Once seated our server changed to a lady named Natasha I believe. She was wonderful. Patient. Informative and just really kind. Me and my family after a rocky start to the evening were so taken by her and found her to be an asset to the team and she definitely should be recognised as such!!

Food was not good and the prices for it was shocking, menu wasnt great and food look dry and small, not must on the plate for the price your paying. no Salad with the starters , presentation was awful. Its ashame as we do like to come for breakfast here sometime and its ok not the best but its better then your evening food. I wouldnt come here again for dinner.

special mention for "manager' Mark for the way he dealt compassionately with couple with whom the lady was suffering dementia type symptoms and couldn't be left on own at breakfast. Mark took over situation, sat patiently helping them order and brought everything they needed. A hero! Well done Mark.

Kept having to send stuff back, cold chips, sauce not on burger, parts of meals missing entirely, in the end we just had to settle as it was getting silly so ended up paying for food we didn't have

We have been here two hours and only tried the starters. They were good although we are starving. Several tables around us cleared out already. It is 21.30 and there is only a dozen people here!

Service at this Beefeater is absolutely deplorable the worst I’ve come across in some time, no matter what you’re ordering food or drink it’s on a go slow, there is nobody serving at the bar most of the time sometimes up to a 5-10 minute wait unless you go to restaurant and find someone to serve you.
