we stayed here a few years ago lovey stay very well looked after excellent restaurant and bar. Arranged bed this time first to have business meetings with colleagues who had travelling far. Impossible to get coffee or drinks was told we had to walk outside into the cold and walk to the golf bar. I am disabled so that was not a opinion. Luckily a serving member of staff said she would finish what she was doing and then would bring us coffee and open the bar. Some young manageress told me I had to walk to the golf. I told her I was disabled but she did not care and walked off. We had to order some bar snack meal as the restaurant was not working. So that was very disappointing. The next day for breakfast we were served by a guy who was dressed that he could be a Gardner or handy man. The coffee machines were not working so we were given 2?mugs of hot water and Nescafé saches. Absolutely horrible. The bacon and eggs were ok but the tomatoes was warmed but cooked. I complained nef and was told he would advise the cook. The next day Friday was valentines and we booked a table for 2. I am afraid to say it was horrible food no imagination. I had a terrine which was awful and did not taste like a terrine. My wife wanted scallops for a main meal instead of a starter. The waiter said he would ask the chef but apparently he was too busy. So I said I would have scallops and to give my wife both portions which she got on two plates instead of one. There was nothing I wanted as a main meal so had a very boring plate of cheese. Breakfast the Saturday the had got the coffee machines working but you had to walk to another room to get your breakfast. I am disabled so my wife had to make several trips to get her and my breakfast, no offer of help was made by the staff. I had booed two more rooms for friends from south wales and 2 local friends to dinner. Guess what it was the same valentines rubbish menu which was very embarrassing to have invited friend to eat this rubbish two nights running. We had a disabled room that was cold the heating did not work properly so had to ask for a electric heater which helped. The disabled toilet had no fold down rail so sitting on the toilet and get up was impossible without the correct fitting and my wife had to help. We spent a enormous amount of money on the room food and drinks which was far too high for the quality received. To be avoided at all casts terribly blé place and the managers do not care a bit

The location is a bit out the way , which may be good for some but the roads were a bit narrow , the rooms were fine , we all went down for food , the oil in the fryer didn't seem like it had been changed in a while as the chips were very dark and some very over done , the batter on the fish was not very appetising for a couple of the lads , I had the chicken burger and that was ok, this was a business trip but I wouldn't stay there out of choice .

Hotel was ok , although shower lost temperature on second night and food in the restaurant was overpriced at £15 for a battered frozen fish and chips

Ridiculously expensive hotel rooms for what is equivalent to a Premier inn at best. Location is beautiful though. 100% these guys cash in on the captive audience for weddings at hawkstone Hall so don't blame them really.

Attended a fantastic two night wedding event here in July 2024. I was able to visit various rooms of our party members and had varying experiences with the quality for the price. The friendliness of the service varies on the individual staff was dependent on the individual but they did their best to accommodate me as a vegan.

What a dark, dank grey hotel! It looks more like a prison than a hotel! I've stayed in nicer youth hostels!

Went for a 2 night 3 day stay. Course is lovely. Food was good, A couple of the staff need to learn how to be happy at work but it was mostly good to be fair. The course is in the middle of no where so if you want nightlife in town you will struggle. Overall, it is good value for money. I would go back

Stayed for 2 nights with a group of friends. Hotel is a little tired in places but perfectly adequate. My room was on the ground floor (101) & very small. Room facilities are probably what you might expect from a 3 star hotel. Shower wasn’t very good however the food and service were fine. We played golf on both of their courses. The championship course is little more than a muddy field with very bumpy greens. Their best’ course, The Hawkstone was much better but the greens were slow and very bumpy. It’s probably not a place that we would revisit.

Staff were lovely, room well appointed and enjoyed both our evening meal and breakfast. In pretty countryside. Plenty of parking. We didn't use the golf course as attending a wedding.

Lovely hotel, Breakfast was lovely especially the sausages. Rooms were large and clean. The only problem was the bath plugs in both of the rooms we had booked. These were not working. Spoke to reception who said these would be fixed the following day. Thus was not done and had to be reported again.

Lovely helpful staff. Generous well appointed room and bathroom. We enjoyed the food and had both evening meal and breakfast. In very pretty area and well out in the country. We didn't try the golf but there were lots there doing so.

A great place to stay with wonderful walks nearby. This is a dog friendly hotel with amazing staff that really go out of their way to help you have a great stay. They remember your name and ask how you are doing. We're definitely going back.

Spacious room as it was upgraded. I've stayed before and the standard double are on the small side. Everything as expected and free parking. Breakfast is self service all you can eat. Nice location but quite far from any civilisation.

We had our wedding here. Ceremony in the follies (the caves) and the reception at the hotel. The food is out of this world and the drink prices are reasonable. You pay for the location and quality and it does not disappoint. When organising our wedding, the staff and managers were sooo accommodating and helpful. The grounds manager who organised our ceremony in the caves was fantastic! So helpful and patient (as not many people get married in caves so understandably you have questions) best day of my life and it was made possible by Hawkstone

Great place for a golfing break. A bit out in the backwoods but well worth the effort. Everything is about the golfer, they are very well organized and Cheryl is always in control. Modern facilities, clean and tidy and well decorated. Lyles bar for the daytime and the hotel restaurant for the evening. Food and service are excellent. Golf courses are challenging, interesting and a joy to play. Highly recommended.

Urban Oasis Hotel lived up to its name. It provided a calm and relaxing atmosphere right in the midst of the bustling city. The rooftop garden was a highlight, offering a tranquil escape from the urban chaos. The rooms were well-designed and comfortable, and the staff was courteous and professional. The location was convenient for exploring the city's attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

Exploiters of children, avoid at ALL costs. Involved in seedy goings on with underaged girls.
