We came for our cousins 50th and we really loved the atmosphere. The toilets were clean as was the whole venue. The party food had a wide range and was super tasty. Lots of drink selections at good prices also. Friendly staff.

Great local pub and a pleasure to have on the doorstep. Prices are still excellent and the owners do a good job of preserving peace in pub that could easily be over run with some of the more questionable locals who exist in the area.

As I was only there to watch the football, felt safe enough as a solo female. The karaoke was entertaining, but probably for the wrong reasons.

Pub friendly, barstaff very friendly and hospitipal . Drinks are very cheap which is an added bonus. Haven't eaten there yet..

I think this pub is lovely, good vibe but a bit stuck up considering where it is. So I have problem with my stomach, its an on going thing, I burped and accidentally threw up a little not alot, I was so embarrassed I ran to the toilet to clean up to come out to help clean but it was already dealt with, I got served at the bar, went out side then to get told to leave, this bar supervisor told me she didn't respect that her staff had to clean it up, even know it wasn't a lot and I was going to help. As a bar manager not to be rude but as a bar person expect the worst, I mean this is a stone gate pub I get it. But don't be acting like I was a problem as I did nothing wrong, accidents happen. Like I said this pub is alright but your a cheap pub in Romford and management come down to earth..

Good pub, just short walking distance from YMCA. Clean toilets which is a rare find in pubs. Plenty TV screens for sports. Will definetelly get back again when I am next in Romford. I thino there is no food provided,just drink,but that is fine by me.

Great pub but for some reason does not allow under 25's? I'm pretty sure you just need to be 18 to enter a pub but my friend who had ID and was 20 was told to leave.

Three times I've been there refused entry they say you have to be a member and have a membership ticket ,its a pub not a club never heard of this before

A dirty dive with a rude ignorant land lady. They watch you drink and do not make new customers feel welcome at all . No cheering allowed during football matches too. Absolutely shocking. Also discriminated against us by asking us for ID but the other customers didn't have too . They were up to something with our IDS too , taking copies of it as if we had done something. Stay away from this dive at all costs. Shocking pub

Old stomping ground still a good pub

Shockingly rude. I came here with my partner and was refused service unless we produced ID. We're both in our 30's. I had ID to prove my age and my partner had pictures of both her passport and driver's license, yet still, they refused us service. They claimed that's just how it is in Romford. Friends who live here have said that is a complete lie. Throughout this interaction the woman we were dealing with, who appeared to be the manager, was unreasonably hostile towards us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. I've never experienced such poor service and would only suggest coming here if you've lived in Romford for many years and have collected a set of references from several existing customers vouching for both your character, and bizarrely, yet most importantly, your age. ID, wrinkles, and greying hair won't cut it.

We bought drinks and went outside into the garden. Lovely place out the back. Hot summer weather meant few stayed inside. Service was pretty fast and no waiting..

Live entertainment was excellent. Pun prices not too bad either. Large clean pub and beer garden and friendly staff. I'd defo visit again xx

First time to the Havering Well and it made a big impression on me. Great customer service with a friendly smile. Very welcoming staff. Wide range of drinks selection. Great interior design and Open space layout. Massive Beer garden with comfortable furniture. Family friendly pub. Several big screen televisions for the sport to watch inside and outside.

I never usually write a trip advisor or a review but I absoulety enjoyed myself tonight with myself and my mates had a brilliant night I was made welcome from the time I got there till I finished I recommend this pub to anyone thank you to the gm and the bar staff.

A spacious, friendly pub with activities every night, ranging from killer pool to karaoke , quiz night to guest artistes. The staff were friendly and efficient. This was my first visit in over 3 years but it won't be my last.

First time there but went with a group of friends. The landlady was very friendly and made us all feel welcome. They had entertainment and the singer soon had people dancing and singing along with her. Had a really good time with some really good friends.

Friendly local pub. Low Craft Union prices. Surprisingly big inside. Good entertainment in the evenings. Always enjoyable to visit.

The pub has changed hands again (new owners ) they are only letting in over 21's which I think is a good idea - there has been some trouble in the past - But it is a (can be a nice pub ) with the right people - they have pool table & darts there if u wish to play & outdoor area in the garden to smoke & a car park for your car

Not been in here for years, management had the place very well sorted for the current covid situation, staff were fantastic and looked after us well. Will return once were through the other side.

Staff were arrogant and rude. How can you be asked not to go to a pub because certain individual (s), don't like you. Also staff believe a lie said by one individual and spread untrue rumours.

Have been to this pub twice now on a Saturday evening. Has a good atmosphere. With a mixed age group of customers. Nice big pub with plenty of seating areas both inside and in the garden . Good selection of drinks and reasonably priced . Has a good security presence at the door and within the pub to keep away trouble and makes you feel safe .

Children aren’t allowed, one of the only pubs remaining in the local area and yet we got told to leave before 4pm! It’s an outrage. Understandable before a certain time in the evening but not when you want a place to sit, have a drink and a meal. Have a garden also and the environment’s supposed to be “cosy”, well we certainly didn’t have a friendly welcoming.

Recently refurbished, I visited with a friend this lunchtime. Large pub and garden, reasonably priced. Frequented by locals. Didn't seem to be any food on offer, but worth checking. Very clean, helpful bar staff.

Simply the best pub for miles around !! All the boxes are well and truly ticked - amazing food, reasonably priced beverages, spacious pub with comfortable seating, private space available on reserve and dance floor area, all the usual TV/Sports channels with big screen available, very helpful and friendly management and staff.. Especially great atmosphere - banging DJ nights and offering the best local live entertainment.. Give the Well a try, you wont be disappointed !!

Went here Saturday for lunch and to watch the football, food was good. (Mexican burger and lasagne). Amazing chips and garlic bread. Good selection of beers nice friendly staff. Pukka pub all round. Update 15/12/17 has this pub changed hands? Now full of coke sniffers and rude staff, what a shame.
