Hattie's in South Cambridgeshire

New to the area, I decided to call in & grab a coffee & bite to eat. All the cakes looked amazing. I said, “good morning” to the lady as I entered & she completely ignored me, I wasn’t sure if she’d heard me or not! I asked for a coffee & she asked if I wanted to “take it away” I confirmed that I did & that was the total dialogue I received. No smile or acknowledgement. I paid for my drink, thanked her & left. Rude & hostile service, I won’t be going back!

Planned to meet family here and as it was Christmas New Yea period rang to check they would be open. A curse” that’s what it says on our website” was the answer so we went ahead and arrived mid morning on 27th. Closed. Poor service.

Popped in for lunch today and had a lovely tuna baguette, my friend had a sausage and egg sandwich, she said hers was lovely too! Would definitely go back!

Hatties is a privately owned shop that serves an amazing array of freshly prepared sandwiches, baps and baguettes as well as soups, sausage rolls, croissants etc. It shuts at 2pm so get there early - not to be missed.

I am a local and regular customer in Hattie’s as I can’t resist their lattes, freshly made sandwiches & delicious homemade cakes (especially the brownies!) I moved to Bassingbourn about a year ago and didn’t know anybody from the area or nearby - Hattie’s really made me feel at home & I’m so pleased we have somewhere like this in our village!

Happened across this tea rooms when passing through the village. Sandwiches were delicious and fresh and the prices were extremely reasonable. Owner was friendly and chatty and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend ⭐️

Made to order. Very varied range. Bread excellent with a wide variety. Good value. Far better than supermarket or petrol station mass produced version.

A friendly little café which always appears busy with passing trade and is very popular with tradesmen. The menu selection is broad and the food is exceptional with generous portions. My favourite is the bacon and egg baguette, stuffed full of very tasty bacon. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food.

I love this place in the village, it offers Great coffee and food, superb cakes and pastries and generally is very high on the value for money scale, it’s friendly, small but cosy and always worth a visit, I generally only go in for a coffee but always end up eating something that looks fantastic. Great bacon baps or sandwiches all freshly made and cooked whilst you wait, great place for what takes your fancy

The petite cafe in Bassingbourn with freshly made sandwiches, baps and baguettes does the classics right and the special spectacularly. I’m a Brie, Bacon and cranberry baguettes man with no intentions of changing. The variety of cakes and pastries that change from time to time keeps me coming back. Sit and enjoy a coffee or milkshake inside or out. Lovely ladies with a cosy cafe.

This is a good sandwich shop, made to order, with good variety of bread and opportunity to eat in. Had a fe sandwiches here, always good and good value.

Hattie's coffee shop and sandwich bar is the perfect place to pop in for lunch. Freshly made sandwiches, soups and many other home made options, as well as delicious cakes, are well worth stopping by for. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
