Hasturk in Braintree

The food was lovely. Had the Lamb Ribs, calamari, mixed shish. BUT: At 11pm tonight we had a knock on our door. The Manager from Hasturk - sorry for knocking so late, but we believe this belongs to you - my handbag! I hadn’t even noticed (I have Lupus brain). I would like to thank them VERY much and support them again. Thank you all!

My partner and I had an amazing meal at Hasturk this afternoon, my partner had the Lamb Adana and I had the chicken sarma beyti …. All I can say is wow :) beautifully cooked food, and service to match ! I highly recommend this place

Popped in briefly for a quick breakfast after my morning swim nearby. Staff are absolutely excellent and breakfast very tasty. Definitely return and try the main menu too!

Had a meal, paid full price £62 they automatically add the service charge which is a bit of a cheek for only 2 people. Then I go outside and get given a 20% discount card that I could have used for that meal. Why did they not say they were running a deal to the already loyal customers that were in the restaurant ! Won’t return.

Ordered my lunch pasta bolanase, and it was cold , they took it back , and must of microwaved it it came out steaming and now over cooked. And then charge for service. Very disappointed

We had dinner as a family after shopping . Great atmosphere, delicious food and lovely background turkish music.

We were staying at the local Premier Inn prior to a flight the next day and visited the retail park to while away the time and chose Hasturk for our evening meal - so pleased we did. The restaurant was quiet but the atmosphere was still very pleasant. The service was excellent - helpful and attentive but not intrusive. The food was to a good standard and freshly cooked. Excellent meal at a good price. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

We came here for an evening meal with family and had a really nice time all round. Previously we had been to Mosaic in the main high street a couple of times, and had not been to Hasturk because we assumed it would not be as good. We were wrong, and it is every bit as good! I won't go into comparisons but I could not find fault at Hasturk at all. The food was delicious with good portions. Service was excellent and everyone was really helpful and with a smile. The restaurant was also very nicely furnished. Clean and smart. I usually like to give something to help improvement but on this occasion I cannot think of anything. Top marks, thank you and see you soon!

Stopped off here after a shopping session at Braintree Village. The food was superb, our starters of sucuk and cheesy garlic mushrooms were delicious. We had chicken and mixed kebabs for main, along with some french fries (again, excellent) and baklava and honeycomb cheesecake for dessert. Top notch food. Apparently this place is a one-off and not part of a chain, but if you live nearby it's definitely worth checking out.

We had a lovely relaxing lunch here at this beautifully decorated restaurant. The food was flavoursome, plentiful and freshly cooked. The waitress was polite and friendly and recognised that we were celebrating a birthday with a candle on the desert and a song! Very highly recommended.

Went her for a birthday dinner, seated straight away. Service was very good, got extra bread to go with my starter. Food was delicious, I would go again and recommend it to others.

Food are amzingly great but the staff are extraordinary helpful especially Adam (not sure if its actual name but was on the receipt). I think he has absolute great love for his work and it showed with the way he provided service to us. A happy birthday song and candle on top of ice cream as complimentary to my friends bday celbrations was just a bonus. My kid who was sick was assisted with plastic right away and asked if he checked on him from time to see if he was okay. Heart melting experience. Highly recommended.

Visited for lunch with a friend. Received a warm welcome from the staff and ordered two glasses of Sauvignon which were perfectly chilled. Our food (one chicken dish one lamb) was lovely and tender and loved the salad which came with it. Thoroughly enjoyed and shall return. One thing I think they could do with a lunchtime set menu.

We were seated in the middle of two other tables, which is annoying when the restaurant is very empty. I don’t understand why they squash you all together. We asked to move, which they did but like it was a big deal. We ordered our food. My husband ordered hummus which came on its own, we had to ask for some bread. The food was very nice, we all had something different, one had kleftiko which the meat just fell off the bone it was so tender. They never came over to see if food was ok or to ask if we wanted more drinks. We had to try and get the attention of a member of staff. The rice pudding is so good. We requested the bill, to find they had added 10% service charge for a table of 4 which I thought was terrible, if the service had been better I wouldn’t have had a problem. So I’d say if your going to add service charge you need to up your service.

Visited here a few times and it's always good. We visited on Bank Holiday Monday and kids eat free so saved myself £9.00. they seem to have the 'kids eat free offer' on at various times which is good.

Great restaurant. It's Turkish adapted for Freeport, which is a great thing. Forget the chain restaurants nearby. Get in here and have a shish.

We have just finished a delicious meal at Hasturk. After a day out for my fiancés birthday we decided to give Hasturk a try. As someone who is gluten free it offered a very good menu with lots of choice! We most definitely weren’t disappointed....

We have been twice now. The food is lovely and the customer service is attentive and polite. Last time I tried the Mousakka, it was lovely, the turkish salads and breads are lovely. My husband had a chicken shish type meal which he thoroughly enjoyed.
