Harvester Gowerton Swansea in Swansea

We visited Nov 25 for a lunch date. Turned up on speck and were seated. Due to using voucher we were NOT given option of set price lunch menu Husband chose signature chicken and chips I chose 10 oz steak with chips and beef dripping gravy. I asked for medium cooked steak When the food arrived was well pleased with the food appearance until ......... I cut into the steak It was not medium but nearly well done. When the waitress came to check we pointed it out and she took it back to have the food redone fresh. It took a little while . By the time it eventually did my husband had finished his meal. This spoilt our lunch altogether. I did not want to eat when he had finished so politely refused the meal. We weren't charged (as we should not have ) and left. Denise our waitress was lovely. Top marks. The food was a real disappointment 😞 😮‍💨 😒 Won't be coming back anytime in the near future. We were so disappointed when we normally have no issues.

I didn't really want to write this but I'm so disappointed with the breakfast that me and my family had the sausages was burnt egg was dry mentioned this to the waitress that my sausages was burnt so she went to get me fresh ones but they was burnt too the only thing I enjoyed was 1 mushroom and 2 piece of toast and tea ,my daughter's breakfast the same plus her steak was overcooked for a medium and one major problem that we had we asked for pepsi max has my partner Is a type 1 diabetic , which he didn't get it was ordinary Coca-Cola all day he had to drink more water than usual to get it out of his system absolutely gutted

Chelsea was our server this evening and she is an amazing asset to your team. I think she might just be the best sever I've ever had!! She was absolutely incredible, even though the restaurant was busy she was permanently smiling, helping other staff members out and her attention to detail and care for every table was just so beautiful to watch. She goes above and beyond and has an amazing energy about her, after working in hospitality myself for many years she is most definitely someone I would have loved to have had on my team. Thank you Chelsea you are an absolute star !!!!

Lovely food today, we ordered a mix of normal menu and the festive menu, all was very nice. Service was spot on from front of house a gent who’s name Ive forgotten (sorry) offered us a range of menus and allowed my 3 year old to pick which menus (he had one of each selection just to keep him happy) and showed us to our table right away. Cerys was our server who was quick efficient and polite even to my little ones who wanted to pass her plates, glasses and to speak with her, she didn’t stop checking on everyone in-between our table of 8 people and other tables nearby

My friend and myself met for lunch and a catch up. However, we absolutely froze and sat with our thick winter kits & scarves on for the entire time we were there. In fact whenever we go there it is always cold but last week was freezing. I complained firstly to the Manageress (useless person) on duty to no avail. Later I complained to HQ for Mr Cavannagh to put the fault on to us, stating that we should have moved seats. I found out that this establishment doesn't have double glazing, which is disgusting in itself!! Also, practically everyone dining sat with their coats on. From now on, we will be going to the Kingsbridge Inn nearby where at least we will be warm with good food. SOMEONE HAS RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW AND HAS ASKED ME TO GET BACK TO THEM WHICH I HAVE TRIED TO DO BUT IT WON'T LET ME!!!!

Food is good, but portion is a joke! Main's like children size. Wine options is also poor. We use to love it but dissapointed lately. Need refressing wine options, cocktail's always out. Not enough cocktail's glasses? Order two on a row 3rd come in a water glass. Please UPDATE ur drink selection.

Would Realy like a reply as one minute u are dog friendly then a few weeks later ur not.........with regards to your reply about social media misinformation etc I was at the front door with my wife, children and dog so no misinformation straight from the horses mouth and also a very nice email from Your customer complaints stating Gowerton is dog friendly and if there's any issues they will deal with it

We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating my Mums 80th birthday. I can't have anything with onions or onion powder so I rarely eat out anymore. Or I am anxious about talking to the staff. Our waitress Sophie was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. She was so kind and helpful. As well as the kitchen staff Thank you so much for making the day special ❤️ The food was lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Worst harvester anybody who's been there will now

Excellent meal and service. The Harvester is still a good place to eat. The salad bowl and fresh rolls are always good. There are some interesting new dishes. The manageress Maggie is very helpful and always cheerful when we visit.

We had a very tasty meal here, we asked for a quiet area and were seated quickly, the salad bar had a wider choice that the previous 2 Harvester’s we had been to and the staff were all very switched on.

Fantastic service today from Aaron, made our whole day! Food was stunning, juicy chicken and perfectly seasoned fries. Would highly recommend, ask to be seated in Aaron’s section!

I’m an American expat in the UK and when I find a place that feels like home I go back! Refills on coffee, great pancakes and sausages…it was a real brunch. Cerys was amazing and made the whole experience perfect. We will be back for sure!!

My partner and I went for a meal last night. We had a lovely lady serve us for the evening Amy R (that was the name on the bill so I hope it's right). What an amazing woman. She was rushed off her feet, over worked, but always smiling and gave us the best service. She deserves so much credit for what she does. Thank you Amy for making our experience great!

Popped in for a meal, have to say our service was excellent. Our server was really good with the kids despite being very busy covering the restaurant. Tye food was pretty decent, went for a non standard pub meal and it was well prepared. I think they may have been short staffed on the day we were there but managed it well. Happy to go back there again

We went for breakfast this morning. Had a lovely waitress named Bev. We always have a very warm welcome from her whenever we visit. All the staff are pleasant but Bev always seems to remember us. The food was excellent today and the soft poached eggs were exactly as we asked for.

Its starting to improve here, still lots of things to improve on, in particular there seems to be a severe shortage of salt and pepper pots on tables, needed to scour lots of tables just to find some.. Please fix this issue as a matter of urgency. Thanks

We were shown to our table quickly. And we didn't have to wait long for our food the food. Was delicious and our waitress was polite and helpful

Unfortunately this was a truly appalling display of customer service and professionalism by the "Manager" and other staff members except one who actually worked. The manager dressed in a hoodie and jeans messing around with the staff. We actually saw him and another staff member spraying eachother with disinfectant and using tea towels as shields. The staff thought that because they were behind a column by the kitchens entrance and bar they weren't visible, well at least that's how they acted. We asked for a takeaway box which actually came but wasn't passed to us it was put on the table and then the server walked away and said "Oh MY GOD" very loudly we felt like something was wrong with us for asking for a takeaway box. Once I had put my food in my takeaway box we would expect for the server to come back and offer a dessert menu but no this did not happen, we instead got "you ready for the bill?". I then asked for the dessert menu and was told they had no Ice cream at all, we were told if we wanted a sundae they'll do whipped cream. Ice cream was not the only item not available also halloumi and bbq sauce. The food was actually good, the salad bar was virtually empty the entire time until someone else complained.

I recently dined at Harvester in Gowerton, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! Our server, Chelsea, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was simply fantastic; my steak was cooked to perfection by Liam, who clearly knows his way around the grill. Every dish we ordered was delightful, showcasing the quality and care that goes into their meals. I also want to give a shout-out to Lauren, who was equally fantastic, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of our visit. The combination of excellent service and delicious food has made this a memorable outing. I will definitely be returning in the future! Highly recommended!

Visited here as we was in the area. The staff was amazing from the moment we walked in, we was seen to quickly and bought to a table. Our waitress Chelsea was very chatty and friendly she couldn’t do enough for us. The salad bar was spotless and had plenty of choices thanks to pot wash princess Jamie. Food was amazing and out quickly.

We visited the harvester in gowerton last evening- a group of 10 of us. We had booked a table in advance for 7pm. When we got to the restaurant it was extremely busy- everyone taking advantage of the 40%off deal. We were told by the waitress Wendy- that it was very busy and would get to us asap- she said that they keep taking bookings even though it's full! After 40 minutes I approached her again to ask how much longer we would be and she said- not too long now. I said a round of drinks or bottle of wine would be kind as a compensation for waiting so long in a crowded bar with no seating. She said if she did that then everyone would want it as they'd all been waiting tonight! We didnt think that this was very good company policy to expect your customers to wait excessively because you were overbooked. We eventually got our table after waiting 50 minutes- but no cutlery or menus for at least another 10 minutes. When we were served we had a very helpful waitress called Lowry and things then improved. But unfortunately the start of the evening was very disappointing and I would be reluctant to book again for fear of the same thing happening.

Poor service food was cold served

From the moment we arrived, the customer service was very poor. We were waiting to be seated whilst two employees flirted with eachother behind the bar with other customers also waiting to be served. Furthermore; we were with an older relative with a walking stick who would be uncomfortable with a prolonged period of being stood up in one place, which was very clear considering she needed assistance coming into the restaurant & has a walking stick. Once we got sat, we were almost completely ignored by servers, and we had to go and find one to ask to order. Half of the menu items were missing, and they were unsure if they even had chicken and had to go check. The food took a long time to arrive (1h+) and the people next to us ended up getting up and leaving due to the fact that their food was “ice cold”. We also heard another table complaining saying they hadn’t been attended to (weren’t asked for food nor drink) for over 30 minutes. Very poor service, I actually kinda feel bad for the waiters because they also seemed to be under a lot of pressure, maybe because their coworkers were flirting whilst they were obviously understaffed or maybe because the management just isn’t good. Or maybe both who knows! won’t be returning 😇🙏 xoxoxo

I only had the salad which i thoroughly enjoy. My son enjoyed his food but my partner was not happy with his. He said it was over cooked and bland. Unfortunately i cant find my photos. If i find them i will upload.

Thursday night Gave average rating to try and be fair. Entered restaurant at 8.37 pm to be told we were too late,and they had stopped serving food, I asked what time did they stop serving, and the lady said she would go to speak to the manager, she then came back and told us that it was 40% off main meals, and there was hardly any food left. I did ask again politely what time they stopped serving food 'normally' and was eventually told that it 9 pm, but it was down to the manager's discretion as to when they stopped serving food, and I was also told we should have booked and that we were the first people to visit without booking, and that we should always book. At least she told us about the Wetherspoons in Gorseinon High Street where we eventually ended up.

A pit stop on the way through town as we headed home. Was a nice menu with a good selection, wait time for service was a little slow but the food was lovely. Nice restaurant overall, well kept and tidy with friendly staff.

Seating and food is great. Disappointed that when you select 4 starters which my wife and i enjoy we only get one salad bowl between us. Even though our total bill was over £50.00 (with wine and dessert included).
