Menu needs changing. Food not the best. Only good thing is the salad bar.

We (myself andy two teenage nephews) went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy. I had pre-booked so there was a table available but because it was so busy service was a bit slow - we were there 2 1/2 hours for two courses (plus salad bar), so it was a late night for my nephews. Food was good though.

I Ordered food onsite to takeaway as it was my mom's 75th birthday but with my dad having dementia it's difficult to eat in the restaurant so takeaway is a ideal option. I was served by Chloe and she was very helpful, polite and understanding of our situation and even gave me cardboard bowls to take salad from the unlimited salad bar home with us. The food was cooked very quickly (I didn't even have a chance to finish my drink before it came out) especially given the restaurant was busy and the food was packed / bagged securely for me to take home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and Chloe even wrote 'Happy Birthday' on the bag for my mom which was a lovely and touching gesture. We highly recommend the food and service at Castlegate Harvester, special mention to Chloe for looking after us. Thank you.

Food was good , service was average. The waiters were too busy to check on the services. Seemed either overworked or just didn't to be there to serve.

Wonderful food + good price especially set lunch, the beef rib was tender and lovely! Our server Cara was very friendly and helpful, will definitely be going again 👍

Doesn't matter if you book a table it's a 45 minute wait! Staff were rude. Won't be booking again will use the one in Kingswinford.

Meal delivery ruined by Uber Eats was turned into a 5* experience by the restaurant! We ordered meals for 4 people on Uber Eats, waited ages and when it finally arrived it was stone cold, totally inedible. Getting no joy from complaining to Uber Eats we drove to the restaurant and told them what had gone on. We worked out that the Uber guy didn't actually deliver the food until at least 35 mins after he had left the place. Anyway the Harvester staff were most apologetic (even though it wasn't their fault) and re-made the food for us. Fantastic service, many thanks to Sean and the rest of the staff for totally exceeding our expectations. Uber Eats though can do one!

Really bad experience over charged .... ripped

Staff are friendly but the service can be slow. We visited before going to the cinema, ensuring plenty of time between cinema and food however we ended up having to rush as food took 45mins to come, considering it wasn’t that busy in seemed to be a bit slow. Once finished food, had to wait a while for some to come clear and the plates and so we could pay. Food portion sizes seemed to be smaller than before but prices have gone up!

All in breakfast good value. Order what u want. Although asked for 5 rashers of bacon 🥓 (love bacon) only got 3!!! 😩 So bit disappointed

We had a lovely valentine's celebration in Harvester. The food is amazing, the vibe is nice as well. I really like how welcoming and accomodating the staff specially Cheryl! She's very bubbly and nice. Will surely go back again❤️

Food was good but a bit overpriced for portions sizes. Pudding was good.

When ordered my meal was told they had no jacket potatoes. Was then told could have smash as there fault i said I don't eat smash could I have sweet potato fries instead. Yes of course. When bill came was charged for them . Complained and manager said they extra i said I wasn't informed this as you didn't have jackets was told could have them. But wouldn't budge so this was disgusting service half the meal and still made to pay full price. Definitely won't be going back there again. Not good harvester. You need to be clear before hand as wouldn't have had that meal. Also a member of our group used the disabled toilet itnwas soaking wet on the floor her stick went flying,she slipped. Could have been seriously hurt.

We ate here to celebrate a birthday in a party of 8. Service was very good and the food was overall good but was let down by overcooked bbq ribs and dry burgers. The restaurant was very busy being Saturday evening so I recommend booking in advance.

Very rude waitress ( Cara) didn't acknowledge me at all. Made rude remarks to me. Smirked asking for ID because she did it on purpose. Im obviously over 18 and 21. Lol Not the greatest food. Quite dirty.

Our server Cara was kind and caring and would do every as soon as she could. Always a welcoming feeling in the harvester and give excellent service. Cara was helpful with any information needed and always has conversations to you and make you feel that little bit special and put a smile on my face and made my day happier.

The food is always spectacular. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. Zoe is a lovely lady! She made my sons day with a Birthday candle in his ice cream Sundae. She really went above and beyond. Thanks, Zoe❤️ Also, then chef for the beautiful food😍👌🏻

Booked a reservation for 7pm, extremely busy, popular with families. Attentive service, however, due to the volume of diners, service was slower. Worth a visit.

Very good all round experience and good food

Visited on 23rd January, around 5pm was quite empty. Asked for a booth seat as my 24 year old son is a wheelchair user who has a brain injury with a spinal rod but can transfer to a seat. We were met at the from by a lady with a bad attitude and told no can't have a wheelchair at the end of the table, so we said no he'll be transferring to the booth he won't be eating from his chair. Well you can't leave the chair there it's a fire hazard. Now I wouldn't of minded if she had said it in a nice way yes that's fair enough we can move the chair somewhere else when he's seated. I felt like walking out. Total disrespect with my son obviously feeling like an inconvenience. The young man who served us then was lovely. We have used multiple harvesters before including Castlegate before and always been nice. I think she missed the training day on hospitality and working with the general public especially those who are not as fortunate as ourselves!

Having half of the venue empty and refusing 6 adults whit 3 kids just because you don't have space or just because of the l..... of serving "that many"?.. anyways,good luck whit future costumers. I wasn't aware the nr is a reason of refusing costumers.

absolutely disgusting food , steak chewy , beef patty had no seasoning and was very chewy , management was pathetic , manger slammed receipt on the bar table and walked off , the server was rude and walked off when we were talking to her

We had a 50% off main meals voucher which saved us just under £20. Food was nice and salad bar was full. Jess M our Server was very attentive and made the process from ordering food to receiving bill very easy and didn’t have to wait long or try and get her attention.

Came at what appeared to be a very busy time whilst they had their January 50% sale on, got our booked table straight away. Really disappointed with the lack of gluten free options. My friend is coeliac, it's absolutely essential that her food is gluten free but the options were sadly very lacking. I think on the big breakfast there were only three or so items she could actually eat, and when we asked if she could swap gluten items for non gluten items we were told swaps would have to be payed for. It would have been £10 for the breakfast and then additional charges just for her to have a decent plate of food. We decided against breakfast and left, and thankfully found somewhere close by that catered much better for people that cannot eat gluten. Staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean. Cannot fault that, but terribly disappointed with the food options. The Harvester is a well known and well established chain, I really think there's alot of room for improvement as the food does sound nice and I would like to come back. But I would like to come back with my friend and her be able to eat too.

If I could give zero stars I would. Never will I visit here again, food was absolutely appalling, so much so that the bill was cleared as we barely touched the food. Staff weren’t exactly welcoming either.

A large capacity Harvester with plenty of free parking in the car park. Food was hot, prepared quickly and served quickly. The salad bar was fully stocked up. Having pre booked and mentioned that we had a baby and pushchair, the initial communication with the waiter upon entry was disappointing as he wasn't being accommodating to the fact that we had a pushchair. The table we were given didn't have sufficient space for a pushchair, it was very tight and there was plenty of other empty tables available.

I WENT TO THE CASTLEGATE HARVESTER LAST WEEK AND THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WITH YOU OVER ALL WE HAD A FANTASTIC FOOD AND THE FIZZY POP WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT WITH YOU

The service was fantastic can't fault the girl who served our table, the starters were lovely the main meal was not good at all, both me and the wife had mix grill and he was not good. The steak was horrible and the chicken looked raw.

Food was late, staff was rude and not helpful when asked how long food was going to be, food came out cold sent back was not happy as it was a family birthday celebration and some people never ate anything. Poor service
