Had a delicious meal tonight I had salmon my friend had haddock both were delicious Our server Kaci was very friendly and efficient

Lovely meal at the harvester, served by Kaci who was super friendly and helpful. Only slight downside is the placement of the refill drinks machine, as you are dodging plates and servers coming straight out of the kitchen doors so feels like an accident waiting to happen.

Today we was served by chez and as always she is always very helpful and always goes out her way to meet your needs. My son loves steak and she made sure it was cooked to perfection for him. Lovely lady, thank you. Food was great , we will be back

Ate here last night 07/05/25 I was looked after by Gemma, absolute star, friendly, efficient and made me feel very welcome, thanks for making it a great experience, I think you are very lucky to have such a good staff member.

Food was brilliant! We had one complaint and it was handled rapidly and our meal replaced. Our server (Chez) was attentive and sooo friendly as well as having suggestions from the menu for the indecisive amongst us. Ladies toilets were not in great condition though. All in all a pleasant experience!

we arrived at Harvester, we where greated by waitress called Kaci, she was very welcoming . We where taken to our table and given our menu's, Kaci gave us some time to decide what we wanted, and then came and took our order. I told Kaci that she has really good customer service skills, I have eaten at some top restaurants and never had customer service, as good as I received today. Kaci is a credit to your company and Harvetser should be very proud that Kaci is representing them in such a good way. Thankyou so much Kaci and I wish you all the best in the future ❤️ Thankyou

Our server, Zoe, was really helpful and attentive, as well as really lovely and cheery. Food was good portions for prices, only complaint was that the beef burger was a little bit grisly, but otherwise really lovely family lunch here.

Food was warm when it came out, the server was lovely and polite. Only problem was waited a while to pay as it was very busy come 5pm for only one server to do everything.

Gemma’s service was amazing - she provided us with the best care and made us feel relaxed, she allowed us to take time and always asked if we was okay if she popped by. Great service, desserts and salad bar were also perfect! Full stock and good sized portions

Amazing time spent celebrating my daughter Dotty’s 6th Birthday. Great menu and the food was amazing, loads to choose from. The children’s menu was also brilliant. Kaci looked after us and was friendly, funny and made us feel very comfortable. Definitely one of our favourite pubs!

Waited ages for food yet restaurant not that busy. Ordered sirloin steak- cooked correctly but dry. Salad bar very unappealing, lettuce yellowing,tomato either unripened or mushy. Think our waiter clocked off early and didn't hand us over to someone else. Toilets grubby- floor very sticky with god knows what. Won't be using this Harvester again.

Server Zoe served us 4 ladies today we came in for lunch , she was lovely and helpful , will probably visit again soon :)

I have been to this Harvester a couple of times recently. I am very impressed with the place and the food is really good and it is nice and hot. Everything is freshly cooked to order too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and courteous. It has a large restaurant with ample amount of parking and it’s also free.

It’s been a great experience today, but then again it always is at this venue, the food is succulent and hot and the sweets are yum yummy when you arrive you will meet Zoe, a delightful lady who’s determination is to make you visit a special one, thank you Zoe, you’ll see us again next Sunday.

I ordered the tikka flatbread and it was not as described missing the filling chicken missing on mixed grill not happy with the food at all. Gemma was amazing very attentive. the other one with dark red hair was rude and passive with our comments.

Had my first meal here today and was served by a girl called Kacey who was absolutely lovely, she spoke me through some items on the menu and was happy to help with any of my questions. Great restaurant will be returning.

Booked a table for 15 adults & 2 children for my daughters birthday, brilliant service & lovely food. Our server Ellie, was fantastic, polite & efficient. Great time had by all.

Came for a family meal today and was spoken to in a nasty manner. The lady Kacey , was very snappy and rude , hovered over us the whole time we ate from start to finish. literally stood next to our table staring and made everyone feel completely uncomfortable. Near the end of the meal she and another employee stared and whispered then approached our table again accusing my child of having a drink out of the refill machine when my daughter literally added some ice to the drink I had already paid for. All other customers sat and ate there food comfortably whilst we were hovered over and made to feel un welcome the whole time I feel it may be due to us being the only family of colour in the restaurant. Very unprofessional behaviour for such a high established restaurant will not be returning.

Went there for granddaughters first birthday in a party of 20 Ellie the waitress did a fantastic job with the orders and making sure we all got our meals at the same time. Now for the food the scampi was nice chips some hot some cold and not cooked properly my wife had a 10oz sirloin could only eat half as it was fat and grisly onion rings bland and overcooked my son had ultimate mixed grill and his steak was fatty and grisly with hot,cold and undercooked chips the mother in law had a kids sausage and mash as the menu was limited and nothing she liked and she couldn't eat it mash was like instant mash crossed with jacket potato. My pregnant daughter in law asked for a well done ribeye steak and there was blood in it which put her off having anything to eat my other son had mixed grill but the steak was so dry. Most of the parties chips was hot,cold and undercooked. It has put my wife and I from using another harrvester

Salmon was way over cooked like rubber Chicken was dry and like cardboard shocking really for the price of it

It was busy when we arrived but had booked a table so easy sat straight away and introduced to our server who after we settled in took drink orders and gave out salad bowls. There was plenty of salad to choose from and bread rolls with either butter or marg to spread. Took food orders and came out pretty quickly It was Very nice and fresh. The value for money on the refills is worth it, a pleasant experience. Our servers was so nice and friendly.

It may have been a one-off. Visits here have been few n fair between. Last time came here, I ordered a drink of cola n there was chewing gum left in the bottom of the glass. This time, due to hot weather, went in maybe for a few drinks and a desert possibly. Walked in about 2 to 3 clock place was deserted, 2 staff members behind bar chatting, 1 staff member waiting with her section because she had a family, a large number of staff in bar possibly having a meeting. Grabbed a booth seat just off from the bar area, looking at menu online a staff member rushing over to us "you ordering food?". Responded with drinks n possibly some desert, "Oh, well would you sit in bar these spaces are reserved for people having meals" Thought that was a bit abrupt, I would understand if you were busier but no one here. To be told to move slightly over all of about 3 feet into the bar. When we are in the bar staff member holding a meeting just are bitching and complaining about there colleagues and threatening to walk out. Me and my partner decided was easier to just leave, wasn't a nice atmosphere at all.

Being a fan of Harvester for many years and not going for a while, I thought I'd pop in with my family. The disappointment 😞. 3 parts of my meal came out cold one bite of each.. the wings were hotter but I feel mine was left on the server until the wo ga were ready?? I don't know. The garlic bread...WOW!! It just looked like a naan bread sprinkled with a bit of cheese and wacked under the grill for longer than it should be. I remember how the salad bars were vibrant and appealing.. I don't know what's happened . I used to look forward to this and fill up on it.. but not on this day Bonus was I had a lovely waitress/server? I don't know what they call them now.

Never had a bad experience when visiting this Harvester. We were served by Drew today who was incredible. So helpful and patient while taking our order as we had a number of allergies at the table. A real credit to the team. Thanks for all of your help

Visited Castle Gate Harvester on 30/03/25. Service was great, food was of a high standard. Leah our server today was really polite, friendly and did a wonderful job. She was attentive and interacted with us as customers really well. Great job!

Services was a bit slow. Parts of the food was really nice but the chicken and ribs were really dry.

3rd time visiting here and everything time food has been disappointing, over priced and portion sizes are small, better off with a sizzling pub or hungry horse mu h better value for money. Service was very slow even to come o er and take our drinks order took ablht half an hour. The free salad was ok but nothing spectacular. Can't knock the refillable soft drinks £4 30 for unlined drinks is very good

After 2 previous over the past few weeks I wasn't holding out for the best meal but thought to give It another go..... So glad I did. Food was fantastic, the main and desert exceeded expectations. Great customer service. Look forward to returning.

Menu needs changing. Food not the best. Only good thing is the salad bar.

We (myself andy two teenage nephews) went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy. I had pre-booked so there was a table available but because it was so busy service was a bit slow - we were there 2 1/2 hours for two courses (plus salad bar), so it was a late night for my nephews. Food was good though.

I Ordered food onsite to takeaway as it was my mom's 75th birthday but with my dad having dementia it's difficult to eat in the restaurant so takeaway is a ideal option. I was served by Chloe and she was very helpful, polite and understanding of our situation and even gave me cardboard bowls to take salad from the unlimited salad bar home with us. The food was cooked very quickly (I didn't even have a chance to finish my drink before it came out) especially given the restaurant was busy and the food was packed / bagged securely for me to take home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and Chloe even wrote 'Happy Birthday' on the bag for my mom which was a lovely and touching gesture. We highly recommend the food and service at Castlegate Harvester, special mention to Chloe for looking after us. Thank you.

Food was good , service was average. The waiters were too busy to check on the services. Seemed either overworked or just didn't to be there to serve.

Wonderful food + good price especially set lunch, the beef rib was tender and lovely! Our server Cara was very friendly and helpful, will definitely be going again 👍

Doesn't matter if you book a table it's a 45 minute wait! Staff were rude. Won't be booking again will use the one in Kingswinford.

Meal delivery ruined by Uber Eats was turned into a 5* experience by the restaurant! We ordered meals for 4 people on Uber Eats, waited ages and when it finally arrived it was stone cold, totally inedible. Getting no joy from complaining to Uber Eats we drove to the restaurant and told them what had gone on. We worked out that the Uber guy didn't actually deliver the food until at least 35 mins after he had left the place. Anyway the Harvester staff were most apologetic (even though it wasn't their fault) and re-made the food for us. Fantastic service, many thanks to Sean and the rest of the staff for totally exceeding our expectations. Uber Eats though can do one!

Lovely food and plenty of choices.

Staff are friendly but the service can be slow. We visited before going to the cinema, ensuring plenty of time between cinema and food however we ended up having to rush as food took 45mins to come, considering it wasn’t that busy in seemed to be a bit slow. Once finished food, had to wait a while for some to come clear and the plates and so we could pay. Food portion sizes seemed to be smaller than before but prices have gone up!

All in breakfast good value. Order what u want. Although asked for 5 rashers of bacon 🥓 (love bacon) only got 3!!! 😩 So bit disappointed
