Harry's Continental in Liverpool

Curry nice and hot fried rice ok would benefit from a bit of egg in it..but really ok

On my continuous search for the ultimate hot and sour soup I thought I'd give this place a try . So ordered the obligatory soup and a portion of noodles. First off the noodles were very tasty and very Moreish , simply made but packing flavour. Would definitely get them again.as I opened the soup which was in a large tub compared to others I spied a lovely deep colour and plenty of fillings ,ham,chicken a couple of prawns . It had a well rounded flavour, not to sweet and slightly spicy and it was almost 100 percent of what I deem a mega soup. I think next time il ask for it a bit spicier and I reckon it will be right up there Will be back here no doubt.

Fish and chips are so great. Burgers are good as well. Stuffs as friendly and helpful.

Just been waiting in harry's for about 20 minutes just to get to the served, woman started to serve me then just picked up the phone and took an order, so rude, eventually got served and waited half an hour for a sweet n sour after complaining, got my food, paid for it and then gave up waiting for my change after waiting for another 5 minutes for that. Ended up paying £10 for sweet n sour chicken. Been coming here for years and I won't be back.

What the flipping flip was that atrocity. Can I just say 3 pound for a small portion and I even know the owners son, he told me it would be 1.50 pounds and first the chips stick to the paper , it stinks of stinky bo and the pie was black this was a dicusting experience and I will not be returing. (The donner kabab was the best of my life would recommend)

Well fancied a portion of chips, Hmm, Was expensive ,to biga portion , And chips pail and half were just little bits, threw them in the bin, Was disappointed 😞

This is my favourite takeaway anywhere for Chinese food. Staff always friendly, the portions huge and tasty. I always think the fried rice is a good quick measure of the quality of a takeaway and Harry's is consistently perfect.

The lovely ladies in here work so hard. The service was fast and efficient and there's a huge choice of menu. It wasn't expensive either. Shame we're only visitors to the area, would be great to have this local to home! 👍

Food was sweatin very poor quality. Ordered prawn curry, shumai, prawn toast, chicken sweetcorn soup, and a salt and pepper box. Salt and pepper box was okay but rest had no flavour. Staff was very sarcastic on the phone. High price for the standard of food.

Made me wait on phone to place order then eventually said “just walk in for that love" been going here 15 years wont be giving them any more of my money. Well done!

Always superb crispy batter on very fresh fish. Good size portions of chips. The Chinese meals are also delicious.

This family business has been my local for over 30 years. The shop is always spotlessly clean and service 1st. class. Most importantly the food is top class, excellent fish & chips, great kebabs.tasty salt & pepper chicken. Mushroom omelettes are always good if you want something plain. Highly recommended.

Superb food. Large banquet order. Enjoyed by everyone. Singapore chow mien and beef green pepper black bean particularly good. Yes prices have increased but quality still good, and where hasn’t put up prices.

Been going here since day it opened.latley food is a bit hit and miss sometimes nice an then not so nice I don't normally write reviews but the last 2 meals I bought have been horrible beef Cantonese.Beef was like shoe leather couldn't eat it an chicken chow mein was so greasy all in all waste of money don't know what's going on was always a great chippy not anymore will be giving it a miss in future or until food improves can't afford to waste my money

Been coming for many years, ordered my usual chicken fried rice, price is around £7 I know there’s inflation going on but you should be given what you pay for. Mainly all rice and no chicken/ham. Won’t be returning! OVER PRICED and when they’re busy they don’t listen to your order on the phone.

Nice food, always busy but some staff can be rude.

Avoid if possible when they are busy they Throw the food out the door we ordered salt and paper chicken tasted like been warmed up in the microwave also ordered special omelette with no char Siu they gave us an omelette with only char siu the chicken curry was Greasy as anything and the customer service is none existing they don’t even bother to ask weather you want salt and vinegar on your food they want you in and out the palace as quickly as possible they don’t care about the food they serve or their customers terrible awful !!

I ordered some barbecue spare ribs from here and honestly they were the most disgusting ribs I have ever had in my life! You have heard the saying as tough as old leather, well these ribs were even tougher than that. I seriously felt like I was eating an old boot that had been dipped in barbecue sauce! They tasted like they were cooked about a month ago and just left in a cupboard! Needless to say I couldn't even get through one rib before they were thrown away in the bin. The ribs you can buy in the likes of Asda or Tesco are far superior than this disgusting mess sold in Harry's. I highly recommend you steer well clear and don't waste your money like I did. I only gave it one star because I couldn't leave a zero star rating.

Spent £30 must be making prices up as they go along as what I got was no where near and the staff need to smile not worth the price quality not good

Apparently this is not a real 'website' Harry's continental do not have one. Lots of customers have rang in for pick up order & staff in chippy claim no knowledge of such orders, there is another take away somewhere in Liverpool with similar name 🤷 confusion !

Harry' continental has the best fish and chips I've ever had! The fish is so fresh with a beautiful crispy batter and the chips are cooked fresh, crispt outside but lovely and soft inside! All the staff are always polite and friendly! Can honestly recommend Harry's Continental👍

been going to harrys for 20 years, and have not had a bad meal yet and the service is great ,

I have lived in the area for almost 25 years and had many meals from this takeaway. The telephone service tonight was appalling and the call handler very rude in taking my order. My meal was king prawn but the prawns were tiny and not king size. This take away used to have friendly staff and the original owner who is retired now always welcoming. When you are spending 25 pounds for a tea and tipping too you expect to be treated politely with respect and that costs nothing.This has ruined my evening and will find a nicer take away in the future. You have lost a loyal customer there, you need to change your staff or at least tell them to change their attitude.Very disappointing indeed.

So many chippies in the area have gone down hill but the quality of food here is still really good and the meals are still as they where, when you where growing up. well worth a visit!!

Normally great. Don't go there during lockdown though. Can't handle it. Orders always wrong. Food which is usually awful is awful. Always wrong. Salt and pepper meals.just salty. No pepper. Avoid at all costs until lockdown finished

Food was okay but cold by the time I ate it because I had to go back as they got my order wrong. The 2 blonde women working there would rather giggle and wave at lads outside the chippy than serve literally the only customer in the chippy when he's standing right in front of them. And when I went back, there was no apology, just laughing with each other like school girls. Not going back again.

I have been a loyal customer of approximately 25 years, sadly no more. The quality of food has dropped immensely.To think of the high standard that this establishment used to produce to what is being sold now is very disappointing. I definitely won't be going back. I would no longer recommend. Save your money go elsewhere.
