Delivery was prompt and the food is very good quality, a lovely surprise a Yorkshire fishcake free with the order ,if you want fish and chips this is the place to order from looking forward to the next time

The food is very good the only criticism is it just needs to be drained more tends to be on the greasy side but I dab things with kitchen roll .Don't let that put you off it is totally worth it

Always enjoy the food from here, good quality and always early. Driver is always really nice and brings the food up (i live on the 2nd floor).

This was the first time we had ordered from here. It was the best fish and chips we have ever had. Hot, fresh, light crisp batter, perfect chips and even the accompaniments were really tasty. We’ll definitely be back.

Super stuff from The Big Fish tonight. I wouldn't ordinarily get fish and chips delivered but I'm glad I did! It arrived hot and tasted delicious. I'll no doubt be back to try some more of the menu.

Tried for the first time and it won't be the last time I order here, the food far exceeded expectations. I'm quite picky about my fish, so to have a beautifully flakey tasty haddock in clean crispy batter was truly delightful. Food was delivered quickly and was piping hot when served. Very good, highly recommend if you're looking for a decent fish and chips, this place really seems to care about their food!

Bought Fish and Chips for £9 (which also included a sauce or peas / beans if required) - Everything was piping hot, very tasty and good sized portions. The shop was spotlessly clean, the owners were really nice people and BEST OF ALL the fish was perfectly cooked with lovely cripsy batter - 5 STARS

First off, everything looked amazing the batter had a great golden color to it. as far as i can tell everything is cooked to order but i went after the usual chesterfield Friday night takeaway rush so i cannot comment on if this the case during busier times. However. the cod... it tasted fine but the batter was really thick in some places giving you a crispy outside but a soggy greasy inside. and some parts had a slight burnt taste to it but nothing overwhelming. overall it was a nice bit of fish. the battered sausage was fine soft sausage with a very crispy batter. just how they should be. the gravy was average nothing special just a nice pot of gravy. overall it was fine and i will likely be back at some point.

didn't realise how big the fritters were going to be and they could have done with being cooked for a little bit longer as potato was still a little hard but still yummy, let's just say they were plenty and I couldn't finish my food. good food and good price definitely recommend

I've recently discovered Big Fish after previously favouring another local establishment. It was the best fish and chips I've had in this area. Large fresh white, flaky cod (no skin on) the battery is so light and crispy. The chips were nicely cooked too. The portion size and price is excellent too. The staff are efficient, cheerful and friendly. I would highly recommend you go and try it out!

Had to wait 15 mins for food and when we got home realised the kebab meat was crispy, my daughter didn’t like it so just had chips

First time my order has been so late. Usually delivery is early and food still hot. Not so today unfortunately. The food was warm and still edible but rather disappointed. Hopefully this was a one off.

Often order from here and food is usually delivered early and always hot and always very tasty. Their new special doner kebab on a tray gets a double thumbs up!! All staff, including delivery drivers are always polite and very obliging. Cannot fault!

Ordered on just eat, food didn't turn up. After waiting over an hour,Said on app it had been delivered. phoned takeaway, they said it had been delivered. Found delivery guy walking up & down street looking for our house number. Then tried delivering cold food & wanted half the cost, even tho we'd already cancelled. Terrible service, do not use this company. Disgusting way to run a company.

I'm blown away by the absolute amazing quality of the food. The chips are incredible and so is the fish and the pie. But that's not all that was incredible. The gentleman that delivered it was wonderful. So kind and polite. Will deffo order again :)

Staying locally for a weekend away. Ordered 2 cod and chips, peas and gravy plus food for the granddaughters. Had high hopes after reading reviews but how I wished we had gone elsewhere as my fish had a funny taste and had to leave it as didn't want to be ill. Normally cod is very white and chunky but what I had was grey....obviously not that fresh or it wasn't cod. Extremely disappointed especially paying over £36.

Just wow! the fish was amazing the chips were so nice and I asked for Scraps and it came perfectly wrapped so they were still crispy. The best in Chesterfield hands down. and the Driver so so polite! :)

Food was delicious, the fish was surprisingly not greasy at all which was really nice because it weren’t dry either, the chips where banging as well and the atmosphere in the shop was really nice and comfortable

The food here is great, freshly cooked , fresh fish delivered daily, customer service is top quality so welcoming and always has a laugh.

Absolutely fxxing shocking. Three mouthfuls of fish and it was done. Not even that nice. Proper rip off. Next time I’m in town I’m going to throw my fish over the counter so it slaps the owner in the face. But don’t worry folks it won’t hurt him because it’s the size of a mino. Absolutely been ripped off.

The best chips my friend and I have ever had. We are visiting chesterfield and popped in for a tray and a box of chips to walk back to the car eating. £5 for both with ketchup , such good value for money and customer service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ too

Our 'go to' chip shop, based in Brockwell. The owner is amazing, always friendly, fast service, food always great, 5/5 every time. Get the all steak pie and order the battered halloumi!

Absolutely incredible chippy and customer service. Food is honestly the best ive had in years. Beats every chip shop in chesterfield without a doubt and ive tried them all. Nothing is too much to ask for. This will be my regular chips shop for the foreseeable. Always follow any notes left and they're happy to go that extra mile for their customers. Very happy. Not a bad word can be said. Very friendly and superb food.
