I am a regular in this shop, so I go in tonight at 8:50PM knowing that they don't close until 10pm only to be told they won't serve me due to staff shortage and too busy, well if that is the case then the times on the website are miss leading and why was the closed sign not on the door and why was the door open, there was 1HR ten minutes to go. I run a business if I did this to my customers I would expect them to go else where, just like I will now, you have lost a good customer. Part of business is being there for your customers and especially your regulars.

Cheap and cheerful pizza place. Probably the best takeaway pizza in Leeds (nb: not italian style but good takeaway stuff). Very friendly counter staff

Staff is very rude there is one guy he very rude with customer he just act like he giving free food to people I been there too many time every time i go all the staff is changed because of this one man so owner should take care of this he is spoiling his business

Quite simply the best takeaway pizza in Leeds. We have been here countless times and haven't had a bad experience. Pizzas are lovely, not greasy and the ingredients taste really fresh. I used to go to the headingley one when I was a kid and was so happy when they opened up in burley. Keep up the good work Harpos!

A really friendly bunch serving delicious pizza. I’m really loving the softer Neapolitan dough alongside the classic Harpo’s toppings that taste just as good as they did back in Headingley in my student days.

Well what can I say? This is the best pizza that you can get in Leeds. These guys do great work, the dough and toppings are mouthwatering. You could order from here 20 times and you would be happy every time!

As an anonymous food critique by profession I can say I was looking forward to what had been described to me as an authentic Italian by a friend. I have often passed by, along burley road and admired from the outside and wondered what the food would be like. Unfortunatley this will be my first and last visit, unless noticeable change is made. The pizza I ordered "The Belly Buster" came with an under baked base, which inevitably caused my pizza to be soggy, and resulted in me losing my toppings when picking up a slice. The topping seemed under seasoned and tasteless despite the toppings, I am still trying to contemplate how that is possible. I also ordered "Truffle Fries", which now seemed even more inevitably futile at this point, especially by the name. These were not in any form an indulgence, but in fact what seemed like fries that are bought in bulk and fried in cheap oil. My last item was a can of diet coke which set me back £1.75. Now don't get me wrong, it probably was the best part of the meal, however considering the mark up price, I'd say knock it down to £1.35 at least. With all of this in mind I have chosen to rate you with 1 star. This is unfortunate since the ideas of a simplistic yet wholseome delicious menu is there. You just need to put it into play. They are such lovely people, I was in an emergency and without any judgement they let me use their bathroom, amazing people and amazing service.

Steadily going downhill for the best pizza in town. No longer hold that crown. No longer using own bases but pre prepared dough. Way too expensive for the poor quality they present. STOP USING PICKED JALAPEÑO. that's just wrong. The pizza tastes just of viniger.

Better than the majority of Pizzas I've eaten in Italy. Certainly anywhere else in Europe.

The pizzas are TINY, really PATHETIC PORTION SIZES. When I say tiny I mean tiny. I seriously suggest you go to El Faro it's only a few minutes walk up the road and the pizzas are more reasonably priced for much larger portions with more of the desired ingredients on them.

4 of us wanted some food not knowing the area we found this pizza takeaway non of us are that keen on pizza. We ordered and watched the staff make our pizzas from scratch then put them in the oven once ready we walked out and started eating them they have to be the best we've ever eaten totally delicious 😋 so if you like pizza visit Harpo's

Amazing authentic pizza. The garlic bread is the best I've ever had. It was crisp but not over cooked! Truly delicious. The staff were very friendly. Quick service. Definitely worth the extra effort to collect and the shop was pristine! I would definitely recommend to anyone who is a genuine pizza lover 🍕. (Burley Rd)

Top marks for Harpos. I've been eating their pizza for 25 years starting with the Headingley branch back in the day. Really pleased they opened up another place this side of Leeds. As good today as it was 25 years ago.

Always loved Harpos pizzas when they were in Headingley. So pleased the quality and value for money are as good as ever. Fabulous pizzas served by friendly staff.....and right on time too!! Only slight down is that for me the food had a little too much salt...but otherwise perfect ....and we will be back soon.

Shocking customer service - Oven was broken at the burley store and shop shut but payment was still taken online - Calling the Headingley branch was a waste of time and the guy on the phone couldn’t have been less apologetic if he tried. Tried to transfer order to the headingley store but we were just told we’d have to wait for a refund the following day

Food was below average, the pizza was herby because the herbs had been thrown on top and not into the marinara sauce, which was bland. Too greasy and heavy rather than fresh, felt like a 4am pizza, not one you’d enjoy sober and I was drunk and didn’t enjoy it still!

The pizzas here are amazing! I grabbed a vegan pizza and it's definitley becoming a regular. If you're vegan too I recommend Harpo's. It's also quite fun to watch the chef throw the pizza round in the air, really feels authentic 😄 Great service, great atmosphere, coming again. 10/10

Pizza could of been hotter, I ordered the margarita, the chef needs be careful with the amount of seasoning . I couldn’t taste the cheese or the tomatoes just the mixed herbs.

Order a pizza if you have a spare 90 minutes to sit and wait for it! Terrible service, delivery times and the chefs are rude when you question why it's taken so long! A Burley/Kirkstall institution but ruined by terrible chefs!

Harpos used to be my go to pizzeria many years ago when they were in Headingley. Now my daughter is a student there, I've been telling her that we need to go to Harpos and see if they're as good as I remember. I'm delighted to say that they're even better than I remember. We only had tomato garlic bread on this occasion, which was incredibly tasty, with a perfect crust and topping, with only a short wait for it to be ready. Friendly staff and excellent service. Can't wait to go back and try some of the old favourite pizza toppings 🤤 😍

Excellent pizza. Very quick. Cheaper than Pico. The graucho and Calvin's special are my favourites. They also have their own brand of beer, brewed by Horsforth Brewery.

Just eaten a pizza with my daughter I our car parked outside and it was really tasty, best thing ever one of the team working there noticed we had no napkins in our car so brought us some excellent. Great food great people would definitely come again thank you.

I’ve ordered a pizza and a garlic bread with tomatoes though Ubereats and the standards are not similar to what I’ve received in the past. Both pizzas had too much of tomato sauce / pizza sauce as in I had to literally wipe away / remove the sauce separately. Cheese used in the pizza turned out very much chewy and it was literally hard to eat! I’m not sure whether there is a change in the employment, however it’s such a shame that it’s not something we have received from Harpos in the recent years.

We used to go to Harpos for family birthdays every year when it was back on Otley Road and it was faultless. Was going to get it from here for my dad's birthday and though everything online says its open, apparently its closed for the week with no indication anywhere, possibly might be a sign if you go to the shop, but by then you've committed to the journey. Not impressed.

The staff at this branch are young but irresponsible and don't really care about the service they provide and they don't communicate with each other or the customer at all. When the customer phone rings to place an order, the chef throws the phone around and swears and cuts the phone line off. Instead of this and fighting and stressing himself or his colleagues and being intimidating and aggressive especially in front of customers, if they instead worked faster instead of standing around and watching each other or at least being honest with customers and not saying another 20 mins every 20 mins for 2hrs, then maybe people and some NHS workers won't go hungry during the busy Pandemic. The issue isn't just the delay, it's the lack of communication between the team members and then with their customers. Disappointing and poor service. No refund or apologies can make up for the 2 hrs I lost starving in the car outside waiting for nothing.

UPDATE: owner contacted me and resolved the situation providing a full refund and had a word with the member of staff that was rude to us. We really appreciated him reaching out and resolving the issue so we have adjusted the rating. Original review: We ordered two pizzas direct for collection after ages of wanting to try Harpos and we were so dissappointed. The service was awful - we turned up on time and were told it would be 15 minutes. When we came back we were told it would be another 15 mins. Came back the third time and were told it had 10 minutes left in the oven. Each time we returned we were met with a stone cold response and very little in the way of apology. Eventually what was supposed to be a 30 minute wait turned into an hour and a half wait. When I conplained the manager was standoffish and rude to me refusing to give me a refund if I wanted the food. By this point I was starving so I ended up paying full price for VERY late and very DISSAPPOINTING pizzas with very little flavour. The toppings tasted cheap and it just tasted like extorinately priced tomato on bread.

It's okay pizza. The toppings are good and you can customise your pizza how you want. I thought the dough wasn't anything to shout about though. There are better places at that price

In 1978, I purchase my first ever take away pizza from the newly opened Harpo's in Headingley and was immediately hooked. Sadly, after only a few. Months, the business moved to the other side of Leeds. Imagine my surprise when, 42 years later, I discovered that a new Harpo's was to open literally 2 minutes walk from where I now live in Burley. A little trepidation in case it was just the name, and that the pizzas would not be the same quality as back in the day. I needn't have worried - Harpo's pizzas are every bit as good as they always were, and I am now , once again a regular customer. Harpo's focus on the pizza and friendly service.

I would struggle to rate a takeaway pizza highly when charging about 10 pound a pop for an 8inch. Been twice now - there is certainly better around for better value. We all know the ingredients of pizza so are we paying for packaging?

A good addition to local pizza places. We usually order from El Faros but now order from here as well as the pizza style is slightly different so it's nice to have a change. The crusts are nice and doughy and they're generous with the toppings. Staff are friendly too.

Harpos has been a family run business since 1978 and this new Kirkstall branch is just as good as it's always been. It's not a crisp base, and it's a one size fits all pizza. Fresh ingredients and secret sauce make this a unique and consistent pizza experience.
