The food was very well presented, well cooked and hot, our compliments to the Chef, Cal, who was on that morning. Our waitress Sadie was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful location with stunning views over Manchester and the Cheshire plain.

I had lunch with my hubby and the food was delicious the chef was Cal and service was very friendly and professional given by Diane.

Lovely pub on our doorstep. Called in for Friday tea without a booking but the team were so accommodating. Great table overlooking the view. Sadie served us and she honestly couldn’t have done any more for us! Our glasses were never empty! Always came to the table with a smile. The food was delicious, hot and prompt. Really friendly place! We’ve lived here for 30 years and are so happy it’s our local place to go.

Me and my husband come her every so often with our gorgeous dog Angel. We've never had a bad experience here and we love the staff as well as the beautiful location. They never fail to make us feel welcome. We enjoy the food, drinks and the atmosphere. We are both very bad with names but trying our best to remember some of the staff so would like to thank the manager Talia who also gives Angel the biggest fuss and thank you to Georgia and Jacob for being so happy and friendly. There was another young lady we had a lovely chat with as well but didn't catch her name and a thanks to Mike behind the bar as well.

Stunning location and view of Manchester. Amazing food and service. We had Sunday dinners - lamb, pork, sirloin steak. All well cooked and plenty of sides and amazing complimentary beer and butter. Ella served us who was brilliant and went above and beyond. Head chef was Owen. Food was amazing (bring back the lamb shanks!!)

Went up on Tuesday night for some food and drinks, sat outside in the sun looking over Manchester. Bit expensive on the drinks but the food was spot on, chicken strips squid and garlic mushrooms! Be returning again soon!

Came here for my birthday - Served by Ella. She was fantastic, promptly asked us what we’d like to drink, gave us plenty of time to browse the menu. Great place for a leisurely Saturday afternoon to catch up with friends. The food was great, service (Ella) was exceptional (a real credit to the C&B chain). Highly recommended - and that's without the breathtaking views across Manc-hatten from the beer garden! Try to catch that on a clear day!

Had a birthday lunch and it was fab. Had a table with a great view, could see for miles. Great service by our waitress Ella, very polite and helpful. Usually go religiously to another nearby establishment but they were fully booked and so glad they were. Food was incredible, full of flavour, fresh, hot and arrived in a timely manner. Really lovely pub with gorgeous views of Manchester. Bryony was so nice and friendly throughout our visit. The food was great, huge portions too. Really dog friendly, they have a water station with bowls and a treat jar too.

First visit in a long time and since the refurbishment as had a really negative experience last time we dined with service and food. However, got to say how impressed we were on our visit yesterday. The pub looks lovely with the new decor, so much brighter and the staff were so friendly and professional. The service was good and drinks served quickly. The food was excellent, plentiful and tasty. We will definitely be back soon as was really impressed. Really glad about this as it is on our doorstep and somewhere we had avoided for a while since the experience on our last visit, but will definitely be back.

This is our go to place for a nice quiet daytime chill together..Talia our host was excellent..very friendly and pleasant..lovely to talk to. She pointed out the specials that Owen the chef had prepared and I have to say I was very impressed!! Overly generous portions and delicious food which was a very nice change from the standard menu!! Top marks for both and we can’t wait to go back!!

One of the worst Sunday lunches I have ever had Firstly no drinks menu but drink order taken very quickly, we now know why no menu £4.00 for a diet coke and almost £9 for a malbec...higher end restaurant prices We ordered the terrine starter, and whilst that was nice it came with crispy bread that broke as soon as you touched it into many pieces and would have been much better with a nice granary or seeded bread. Then the trio roast, cheap cuts of meat, extremely fatty beef and pork, roast potatoes swimming in oil (disgusting) an undercooked soggy yorkshire pudding and the blandest cauliflower cheese I have had the displeasure of eating. Our waitress was abrupt and forceful, struggled to understand her and she rushed her words, then was slamming plates and glasses down when serving and brought the bill when we hadn't asked for it (we had just advised about the bad roast potatoes) All in all a terrible experience and not one I wish to experience again

We have visited here a few times whilst on a walk. The pub it’s self is lovely after the refurb. We have only ever visited for drinks so can’t comment on the food. The service has always been poor at the bar, waiting far too long for service with big queues at the bar. The manager needs to address this as it puts people off returning.

The refurb looks lovely and my first visit for food at the beginning of the month was good. Sunday roast trio was filling and enjoyable. Recommended to a friend and returned for Sunday lunch today. Wondered why the waitress was really pushing the specials - turns out there was no meat at all left for a Sunday lunch. I really think they should take the time to phone customers who have prebooked and let them know they have run out of food if this is the case. Without a roast option the Sunday menu is very limited. Special (wild boar sausage and mash) was fine but expensive for what it was. Would be apprehensive about booking again for Sunday lunch now.

This was everything that I expected and more. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere is something to enjoy. Peacefull, clean, welcoming environment. Definitely coming back here again! Hannah was a fantastic & Liam the chef is superbly talented at what he does. The menu was delivered beautifully.

5 of us came here for lunch to celebrate my birthday food was absolutely lovely & the service was good. It worked out appropriately £30each for drinks, lunch & dessert. Liam was the chef & we all complimented on how lovely all the food was. Definitely 5* from us.

It’s been a few years since I had been in The Hare and Hounds. Decided to give it a try for a Friday evening meal after hearing that the place had been renovated. First impressions inside the pub were great. We ordered the squid/garlic mushroom starter and two steak mains. I thought the starter portions were very small for just under £8. The main course was the biggest disappointment. The steak itself was a very poor quality piece of meat that was chewy and over cooked. Serving frozen chips with a steak just felt like no care is put into impressing diners. All in all for 2 starters 2 mains and 2 drinks came to over £80. I left feeling let down and wouldn’t return.

One of our favourite pubs anyway - we went for a walk up Werneth Low in the snow and called in for lunch. We got a lovely table by the fire. Great service by Diane who is very efficient and friendly. The chef, Cal, catered for my wife's additional requests on slight variations, much appreciated.

Nice place friendly waitress unfortunately the chef needs to be taught how to poach an egg other than that the breakfast was nice bacon and sausage were first class
