Happy Kitchen in Leicester

Having not had a Chinese takeout for some time, we selected this one at 'random.' All we can say is the food was absolutely fantastic. It was hot. All the food was so well cooked and the chips, prawn crackers and toast were the best too. Yes, definitely ordering from here again.

Curry sauce was a little bit spicy food was hot (temperature ) first time I've ordered from happy kitchen always feel nervous when ordering from new places .

Happy kitchen is the BEST takeaway I have ever ordered from! The food is always delivered on time and hot, fresh and delicious! The chicken balls are to die for, the chicken chow mein is gorgeous and not greasy like some other takeaways. The spare ribs with garlic, chilli and salt are RIDICULOUSLY good! Everything I’ve tried from here is incredible!

Staff were rude... ordered on just eat for delivery, and they rang when it was due to be delivered saying that they don't have a driver available, so I had to collect it and offered our delivery refund and service charge which we was entitled to get back anyway. Will not order from here again!

We ordered 2 curries a beef & a chicken. The food was so spicey we couldn't eat it & it went in the bin. Way too much spice & it gave me heartburn & stomach ache. A complete waste of nearly £30!!

Best Chinese ever I recommend getting Szechuan chicken. Does take a long time for a big order but it’s worth it. And friendly service.

Absolutely amazing food. We ordered Singapore Fried Rice, King Prawn Chow Mein, and Kung Po Chicken. We have been to many Chinese takeaways before, but this by far is the best. It was so good that mid eating the food, I had to call them to tell them how good the food was!!

It appears that the business has changed hands as the food tastes different from before. Payment is cash only.

Since the change of owners, this place has gone down hill. Have ordered a few times and you end up waiting 20-30 minutes on top of the long pick up time. Just come back as we ordered 1 hour ago and was the told by the man behind the counter that it will take another 25 minutes. No apologies. Do your self a favour and go to another takeaway. This place is tun badly

So mad waited over 2 hours didn't even get apology when we wrang up very poor service

Have just discovered this place, we have eaten here 3 times in total over the last month. The food has been constantly good, full of flavour, good portions and always hot. Prices are competitive. I will say delivery was a bit hit and miss, once fine , once a very long wait , pick up fine .

I don't even give this place one star however I can't write a review otherwise. Ordered over just eat (not that should matter) arrived 20mins after ordering. I'm about a 12 min drive away. Food was cold and clearly reheated. Called the restaurant and the guy basically laughed down the phone to me. When my partner heard him laughing he took the phone off me so he could speak and the guy didnt even speak to him.I ordered a set meal for one (beef curry) disgusting food and service and clearly this is their standard's

New owners are a joke. Just because I spent 3 pound if there's a problem with my food they don't care. When I rang to let them know I wasn't satisfied the guy didn't even apologise. I don't recommend these lot at all

Had this yesterday and it was absolutely vile, the chow mein tasted very off and they just got a load of big bits of meat and egg and threw it on the top it looked awful, the only thing edible was the fried rice very disappointed

We ordered our usual, including the salt and chilli prawns, salt and chilli chicken and salt and chilli chips. The food was extremely horrendously salty. Not the usual standards at all, very disappointed to learn new management have taken over. Unfortunately I need to find another Chinese take away as the food was not to the standards we are used to :(

Just got my order, first time ever ordering. currently eating it, absolutely delicious, salt chilli chips, BBQ spare ribs and curry sauce 100% recommend& the delivery driver was lovely :)

The place has changed hands and the quality has gone way down. The food was tasteless and the sauces were watery. The crispy shredded beef contained pretty much no beef and the duck was all skin. It's a shame, we have been coming here for years and will need to find somewhere else because it's not even worth it for the slight price reduction.

I have been going to this place for last 30 years, today was the 1st time i have been let down. It seems the new owners have alot to learn about quality of food. We put in a simple order of 2 chips, spring roles and a curry sauce. The chips had been cooked over and over again as they were rock hard. The vegetable spring roles had meat in them. When we called they did not seem to care. Keep this up and you will not be around for to long as you have some decent take aways not to far..

Excellent service, great food and portions

Ordered the cashew chicken, special fried rice, special chow mein and hot and sour soup. Cashew chicken was sorry at best, boiled chicken tossed in some sauce, stingy amount of cashews. Chow mein was disgusting, looked like old noodles covered in some salty sauce to hide the fact they were old. Only edible thing was the fried rice which was okay, only 3 shrimp in the entire order, and the soup was okay. Maybe it's one of those places that only do a few things well, but not willing to go through their enormous menu to find out what that is. Would definitely not come back here.

We had meals for 3 last Saturday evening portion size excellent taste excellent and delivery first rate what more can you ask. Excellent all round definitely recommend to anyone.
