Happy Chef in Swansea

We have been customers for many years and they never disappointed. We even travel now from Llanelli since moving as they are the best around 🥰

The food is probably the best you can get in Gorseinon. I would recommend checking your order as we ordered £72 worth of food, one dish was missing, couldn’t call back as the lines were busy and then when I went in the next time they denied ever having any order from me. Disappointed as £72 is a big order and for it not to be recorded and to be made to look like a liar annoyed me. So I checked my order there and then this time.

Ordered a collection. 10 mins pick up….. great. The rice was a ball of stodge absolutely terrible and that was the egg fried rice and the chicken fried rice good job for the chicken balls and curry sauce!!!! Won’t be ordering again!!

Would of given a zero if I could of , an hour wait which fair enough , food was cold and of average standard , bearing in mind I live less than a mile away waste of money, won't order again any time soon

I've worked and eaten away quite a lot and tried many restaurants and this is probably the best curry and rice ive had. I enjoyed and recommend 👌

Food is nice but over priced,and don't bother ordering in advance because its not ready when you get there,she just laughs and says she's been busy on the phone and only places your order when you get there,just so there's no confusion it's not the girl with the straight dark hair

Best Chinese Takeaway in Swansea! I travel from Morriston to Gorseinon to get our food from here, and I'm more happy to do so!! Partner has been using Happy Chef for years & years as he's originally from Gorseinon. Customer service is 2nd to none. Always welcomed with a smile & happy to help answer any questions you have regarding the menu etc. Food is gorgeous! Best House Special Chow Mein around! Decent prices & always get plenty. I will not eat from any other Chinese.

Worst food ever this evening. Should have known when it was ready in 3 minutes. Couldn't get the fried rice out of the tub it was solid.

Nice food but hardly any chicken in the chicken chow Mien it was more like just plain chow mien with tiny bit of chicken in. Need to put more chicken In

Best Chinese in Swansea area. We happily travel from Morriston to Gorseinon just to get our takeaway from Happy Chef!! Service is always spot on, always friendly and quick service (we always ring our order through before collecting). Made the mistake one Tuesday evening of wanting a Chinese (Happy are shut on Tuesdays) so went to Samlet Packed Meals, absolutely disgusting, it's was inedible, burt bitd throughout all 3 meals and rice looked and tasted like it had been cooked to within an inch of it's life!! Never ever go to Samlet Packed Meals!! So, we only have Chinese now when Happy Chef are open!! Best Chinese we've ever tasted!! 🍜😋

By far the best Chinese I've ever tried, we've been ordering it on a regular basis and it has never let us down! Not sure what there not to like, Singapore chow mein and crispy chicken balls with BBQ sauce are just to die for :)

Food is nice but poor management and staff delivery take longer than what they say staff is very rude and food was missing I asked to staff but they didn’t delivery missing food .

Delivery can be a bit slow at times but the food is always hot. Never had a bad meal from there.

We all had a delicious piping hot meal from Happy Chef last week, and I’m sure we will be returning again in the future! Thank you.

Brutally honest review Completely over priced food, it seems every 3 months or so they have new menus printed with an inflation on everything of around 20p. The food is good there but where they lack other take aways in the same street make up for it. As for having your food delivered, good luck, they don't lie when they say they don't guarantee timed deliveries because of the area they cover. You literally could be waiting an hour and a half! As for ringing up and ordering your food so that it's ready when you get there, personally don't bother. You'd be better off going in and ordering. I've rung before now and been told twenty minutes and turned up twenty five minutes just to make sure it'll be ready and as I've got there my order was handed to the chefs in the back. So had to wait another twenty minutes before it was ready. They also answer the phone to take orders while you're giving yours which is very rude, maybe they should think of employing two people on the ordering side of things.

Waited 2.5 hrs for food and when you try to tell them they don't speak English, let's be fair 1hr is fine but this is bad and then no discount for the inconvenience
