Hamara Taste in Newcastle upon Tyne

Your food quality is deteriorating day by day , when I visited your shop first time I was so happy that finally I can enjoy good South Indian food at Newcastle but now I don’t feel the same after visiting 6-7 times and continuously going unsatisfied by your food , you guys should give freshly cooked food to your customers if you want to grow . I ordered Idli it was too dry and the sambhar was smelly . I was fond of your sambhar vada but this time I left the sambhar vada because it was smelly and not fresh . Really disappointed will never come back for sure.

Nice place. The staff try their best to give you a high quality product and 9 times out of 10 they get it rite.

I had a chicken dum biryani a couple of hours ago I just can't express it in words............The food is amazing , you guys really doing a great job , appreciate your efforts guys, And also forget to mention that , these guys also do desert and I found waffles are wonderful as well

Be careful when you order it. Be very specific otherwise one will get half of what you order, but will end up paying for full. Probably, the only restaurant who delivers dosa without any sambhar. And put blame on customer that sambhar order for dosa should be given separately. Menu being told on phone incorrectly. And then happily blaming back on customer that they have not gone through the menu. And with such a rude reply and attitude. Best of luck mate !

Went there today. Really this one has a good potential to be one of the best Indian cafe/restaurant in Newcastle. Sharing my honest feedback - Pros - 1. Great staffs. Always they will greet you with smile. 2. Price is very much reasonable 3. We have tried the chicken biriyani and I would say it's the best authentic biriyani I have tasted in Newcastle. We have tried biriyani in many popular joints in Newcastle, i.e. dabbawal, my Delhi, khai khai etc. But this one is really good. 4. Shop decor is very much decent Cons - 1. Lack of professionalism. We went around 2000 and the shop was absolutely empty. Still we have to wait for 20 mins for biriyani and 30 mins for dosa. 2. Masala dosa was soggy which I have never expected. It was like reheated. 3. The water solution of Pani Puri was not good. 4. Rainbow cake which we have ordered was not soft. Considering it's a new shop in the city, I am very much confident that it has a great potential and I will come back again to change my review to 5*.
