Disappointed by the Service Despite High Hopes We flew in from Detroit with a group of 14 friends for a much needed vacation and were excited to try something new while in town. Based on great reviews and proximity to our Airbnb, we chose The Keg for a Sunday evening dinner. Knowing we had a large group, I called ahead to make a reservation and was told we could be accommodated at a back table at 8 PM, which sounded perfect. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience went downhill. We weren’t greeted promptly, and it took until about 8:30 before drink orders were even partially taken… several guests were skipped entirely, and a bottle of wine that was ordered didn’t arrive until 8:45. We didn’t start placing food orders until nearly 9 PM. During that time, no bread or appetizers were offered, and I had to refill our water myself because no one came into the room to check on us. I even had to go ask for a second pitcher of water. Once we finally began ordering, one guest had to reorder their meal four times due to the restaurant being out of several items—something that could have easily been communicated upfront. A simple, “Hey, thanks for joining us, here are the dishes we’re currently out of” would have saved so much time and frustration. Food came out in a disorganized manner—soups came last, and several entrees were significantly delayed. The overall service felt scattered and inattentive. I ultimately had to get up and find a manager myself, and while she did apologize and comped our beverages and the guest who had to reorder multiple times, I was really disappointed to hear her initially suggest this was somehow our fault for coming in on a Sunday evening. We were excited to enjoy a special dinner with friends, and while I appreciate the eventual apology, the experience as a whole fell far short of expectations. I hope this feedback helps improve future service, especially for large groups.

The steaks were absolutely delicious. Side dishes, amazing and drinks were impeccable.

My experience was quite a let down. The waitress was absolutely amazing, very attentive and had a great personality! However my steak was cooked wrong and in a slightly upscale steak restaurant you would expect more. When I made the waitress aware she immediately agreed and took the steak to be fixed. She relayed this to her “manager” who failed to come to the table. Instead it took over 20mins for them to cook a small steak medium rare. The manager never once came by. We asked to speak with the manager just to have a conversation. She came over and threw the bill on the table and said, fine we took the steak off. That wasn’t what we were asking for. She continued her tyrant with malice and disrespect. She was very nasty to me and as a fellow female it was quite disgusting. Women like this are what make it hard for other women. She should not be a manager and it’s really sad but her attire was very inappropriate.

Love this place. Always a delicious meal, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere.

I’m from Chicago Midwest beef and potato girl, and from the prime rib to the sirloin the steak just melts in your mouth. Surprisingly, they brought out two small plates with fruit, veggies, and crackers for my two younger school age boys along with the warm bread and butter to the table. Totally unexpected, but appreciated because this doesn’t happen to families with children. My family of four had a dinner that we still talk about today, and we surely will be back for any celebration or just craving a great steak too.

The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. The garlic cheese bread was the best I've ever tasted. The Sea bass was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The crusted baked Mac and cheese was generous and cheesey. Can't wait to return soon

Happy hour and food was exceptional but above all, our server Yabby (apologies about spelling) is probably the kindest soul we've ever met. Made my buddy's birthday extra special.

This whole company is a scam. I ordered cake from them and they didn't put ANY postage on the parcel. I recieved the parcel 2 weeks later, stale and with a £7 charge they refuse to reimburse me for. Lots of fake promises but nothing materialises. Avoid at all costs.

Always great food and solid service. One of my favorites in the area. Also, the blonde bartender is always super on it with her attitude and pace.

The family and I came to celebrate a couple of wedding anniversaries. I will say that the food was good, and the service was ok. The table ordered several drinks (doubles) in hopes that we would only have to order one each. Maybe two if we were feeling really fun! When the drinks came out you could not taste alcohol in any of the drinks….which is fair but the price point was almost $20 per drink. We did say something to the waiter, who admitted that he may have rang them up as singles. And he gladly switched them out. Then the manager stepped in and said that The Keg traditionally serves drinks that are less than standard for doubles. I think a 2 ounce pour is considered their double. They basically bait and switch you into thinking you’re ordering a nice drink.

Such an enjoyable meal! The servers suggestion was outstanding, and the atmosphere was truly wonderful!

Food was AWESOME!! Sea Bass was fresh and moist, with a beautiful flaky texture and a rich, buttery flavor that melted in my mouth! The Steak was cook to perfection with a beautiful crust and that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Also the cheese bread was the BEST I have ever had!

Good location, clean facility, moderate level service nothing extraordinary, the meat, flavor below average , the kitchen needs training on getting the temp right, it was sent back 2 times and ultimately was well done.

Food was great. I ordered the Peppercorn steak. Fair warning don't order it unless you really like Pepper it is entirely crusted in Peppercorns.

I would have given 5 stars but, the service is what is holding me back. We went on Valentine’s Day so I understand that all the staff had their hands full since it was extremely busy. However that doesn’t justify why we sat there for 20+ mins waiting for a server to even greet us. Overall though the food is fantastic, I got the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. Full of flavor and the twice baked potato complimented it perfectly.

I ordered for pickup from their website, which instructed me to call after arriving at the curbside pickup location. However, no one answered my call. I then entered the store and requested my order twice, waiting for approximately 30 minutes after the designated pickup time. Unfortunately, the front desk neglected to include my order. Upon receiving my order, I discovered that the peppercorn steak lacked peppercorn sauce, despite the sauce being included in the purchase price. Additionally I paid for side of peppercorn sauce which I didn’t receive and when I asked for it they said that they don’t have it. This incident raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of your business.

Yabee was AMAZING! Valentine’s Day was super busy and she still provided amazing service. I 100% would just come back for her. Seriously, she handled so many tables and was on top of it fully. She was super kind and made our experience even better. Give her a raise!

The prime rib is amazing here. Our family goes here once a year for birthdays and I never had the prime rib. But this time I did and it was amazing. Best prime rib I've ever had and I had it medium rare! Got the pistachios crusted salmon and it was very good also!

Great place to go for a new years eve steak. The steak is always cooked spot on. Service was good. Only complaint was the bar was super cold to where we had to have our winter coats on. Kind of bulky wearing this and eating. Waitress said vent was broke. Hopefully they get it fixed or pass out blankets.

Overdue review alert: Came for The Keg’s Thanksgiving set meal and had a very nice experience. Even though the place was packed our waiter and the wider staff did a fine job keeping things moving but not rushed. The bone-in ribeye was solid and the turkey was good too. All in all a commendable effort.

Been having dinner there for new years for about 4 years. Usually amazing. Last night the appetizer was good. I don’t usually care for Caesar salad but have literally gone out of my way for theirs. Last nights was disgusting. Looks like they ran out of croutons so someone dumped the end of the bag crumbs all over the salad. The result was a salad that was a tasteless mess. The dinner was ok but cold. Not worth the money. Don’t think I’ll be back.

We love the Keg! Always good and great with allergies. Went on NYE this year, and they handled the large crowd well. Keeley the hostess was SO helpful and did a great job helping out

Food was great, service sucked. Our waiter was very inattentive. After asking if we were ready for the bill, it took him 25 minutes to bring it and another 20 to come get our money.

37th Anniversary celebration - just wife and me. Brandon was our server - very attentive, early bird diners ... 5pm. My wife tried a new entree - Prime Rib Sandwich I ordered my usual Keg Classic Prime Rib, medium rare. Onion soup (wife's appetizer) was delicious! My plain old Caesar salad was crisp and cold - like it should be. Fresh sourdough bread came out hot ... we ate two loaves ... not sorry. .... Entrees were excellent - wife had the prime rib sandwich and fries. She only ate half - leftovers tonight! Most of my prime rib and baked potato came home also - leftovers are even better. .... Restaurant has been remodeled - we miss the artwork on the walls. Also, the acoustics make the rooms louder ... brick and wood ... .... SUMMARY" Our favorite place for celebrations - birthdays, anniversary. We'll be back.

What an amazing experience! We had Kate as a server and she was so engaging, kind and knowledgeable. Though the restaurant was noticeably busy, we never felt neglected by Kate! She even connected with us about an obscure restaurant in Nebraska, where most of my family is from. We all had steaks and they were AMAZING. the desserts were good too. The wine she recommended was really good and the prices were decent! We loved our experience here and will definitely be back!

Terrible food, waited an hour. Plate was floating in blood. Asked for medium prime rib. Paid 103 dollars. 0/10. Cauliflower mash was flavorless. Go somewhere else for dinner. Wine was okay.

Came here with my s/o and it was pretty empty, just us at the entire bar. For whatever reason halfway through dinner, one of the servers decided to start rolling silver directly in front of me and my date. Why? Why do this in front of a couple while they’re having an intimate conversation? Meanwhile you’re wearing a low cut shirt and just rolling silverware in an empty restaurant directly across from us while we’re having a private moment? The server had red butterfly tattoos on her arm and was flirting with the bartender all night, so I’m not sure why she had to make our experience so uncomfortable. 12/22 EDIT: they asked me to reach out about my feedback but haven’t responded to any messages. Better off going to Outback for steak.

Really great for a neighborhood steakhouse, I loved it!

Waiter was semi friendly. Took a while to just get out appetizer, then once the food came my steak was extremely over cooked, my potatoes and vegetables were cold (not even warm). For what you pay 100% not worth it. Not to mention when I asked them to fix the steak they took 45 minutes to fix it. Once the second steak came it was RAW. Came here to celebrate and it ended up being not worth while. Don’t recommend. There are way better steak houses that actually know how to cook their steaks. Never come here.

Great steakhouse and menu. Has a little of literally everything. Service was wonderful. Prime rib and burger are great and our meal was very affordable. Would return!

Wonderful place for fine dinning.

Excellent food and service. Prime rib was wonderful. Mashed potatoes were real, not from a powder. Grilled shrimp were decent but had a bit of the gulf coast flavor as opposed to cold water shrimp from the Pacific. Definitely worth going back

2024 Update: They’ve slipped!! Server was great, but food, meh. We boasted so much, we invited our brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They ordered off the menu and my sil had to send her steak back, everything was cold and the meat was cooked to the wrong temperature. My bil suffered through his. Wife and I both opted for the turkey dinner. Both were cold and were sent back. We were originally told the kitchen was 30 minutes behind (at 11:45, just 45 minutes after opening) This meal required reservations which we had. By the time we left, the lobby was packed and so was outside. I’m forced to retract my previous review below. I doubt we return. My wife and I decided to let The Keg cook Thanksgiving dinner. We had a wonderful meal (their pre-selected menu of turkey and all the fixings plus salad and dessert) We love the ambience. Our server Jeremy was so attentive. Every member of the staff was smiling and wished us a Happy Thanksgiving.

My husband and I had thanksgiving dinner at the keg and we will never eat there on a holiday again. The service was bad and the food was terrible. The lobster bisque and my lobster dinner sat under the warming lights for way too long. The bisque had a film on top and around the edges. The lobster had crispy edges. My husband’s steak was like a hockey puck. We would have just chalked it up to a holiday and too many people. The kicker was that we were seated at a table they squeezed in between two other tables. When we were seated the table behind me had two people, which was fine. The next seating they were going to put 4 people at and there just wasn’t enough room. The manager came to set the table up, adding a chair. She rammed that chair into the back of mine twice, never asked if I could move up, I could not it was already tight. My husband said that to her and she was throwing the table around, but there was no space to move it. The table was seat and again my chair got ramped, at no fault to the lady there just wasn’t enough room. On the way out my husband saw the manager and told her she was very unprofessional, she shrugged her shoulders. It was a unpleasant experience Experience for a high price!!!!!

Have enjoyed the Thanksgiving special for multiple years, but this recent holiday was much less fulfilling. Seems as if they way overbooked the reservations as we waited over 30 minutes from our assigned time and finally just went to sit at the bar top. Food was cold. Might consider trying not to rush so many people through next Thanksgiving and making customers experience more enjoyable.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with you & while the food & service was excellent we would recommend not seating anyone in your extra banquet room next to the fake fireplace. It was freezing at our table & even the people out 1 table put their coats on! Also, the cheesecake dessert was frozen, I suggest you get them out earlier.

Not our usual experience and celebrated my birthday there last night. No birthday dessert and the filet mignon was just ok. Felt like the server was rushing us out of there and way too expensive for an average dining experience. Will look around for another steak place.

Although the service was slow, our server was at least excited to be there. The food on the other hand….$45 Filet was burned on the outside and medium on the inside, ordered it medium rare. Didn’t want to send it back because it was already 9:00pm. Our dessert was comped, but turned out to be completely inedible due to the creme brûlée being raw, the chocolate cake was so dry couldn’t hydrate with a gallon of that chocolate sauce. Won’t be back here anytime soon after dropping $120 on mediocre food.

All the steaks in my table were salty ( about 6), service average, atmosphere like any other of the same style, dessert hard to tell what is was by the flavor

Far, far, far from fine dining - still $100+ per person for cold food and servers who can’t respect personal boundaries. Nightmare of an experience during a business dinner with a power tripping and unprofessional manager. We left sooner than we intended to. Toxic experience. “Hospitality” industry. 😂 Don’t buy gift cards here - they will not refund you, even if you’ve used their “corporate gift card packages”.

They cut me off after two drinks. I got an old fashioned from the special menu. Then I had a glass of wine with dinner. They wouldn't let me have another drink after dinner.

I sat at the bar and got the elk burger and a beer. The burger was great, had awesome flavor.

Very sloppy management. Had a good meal here (+1 star for the food), but forgot my credit card in the booklet before leaving because of a snafu with the checks that distracted my attention (server had charged the wrong cards and had to correct it). Went back the next day to pick up my card and, while the hostess remembered me and that the server turned the card in, the management couldn't find it. Have worked in restaurants for over three years, and I can't fathom how a customer's credit card gets lost. Fail.

Had the best service tonight from Ashley. Been here a ton of times and the last two service wasn’t the best but Ashley really went above and beyond this time. We will be back! Food came out out fast and was delicious!

I'd recommend the prime rib classic with the twice baked potato! All the staff was super awesome.

The staff seems to stick around for a while, which, in my opinion, means they have effective management and leadership. It is always clean, the service is absolutely amazing and so is the food! The people here ALWAYS treat me better than I deserve. Ashley (bar server) and Chelsea (bartender) and Nicole (bar/server) treat me so well! They remember what I drink and eat and are always welcoming! It makes me feel good when they greet me as I enter the main entrance. Their patio is so nice and it has a great view during sunset! Definitely my favorite place to be in the summer. The staff has ALWAYS left me satisfied; I only had one issue in all this time and they went above and beyond to fix my issue. No one has better food for the price and service. This is the best steakhouse in Colorado!!!!

Slow service. Cold food. Bad lobster, shouldn't have been cut open, ordered whole lobster and came demolished. Neighboring tables ordered after we did,they ate and left before we got our food. We were missing a steak a d all the food was cold. The butter for the lobster got ruined by being heated more than 30 minutes. Worst dinner my wife and I ever had. Next year we'll just order a pizza for our anniversary

The prime rib was disappointing. Not any flavor at all. The potatoes and bread were good.

Update: the GM of the restaurant contacted me and we spoke about our experience. It was wonderful to know that she truly cares about what happened and would make sure it doesn't happen again. We will definitely go back and hopefully we get the outstanding level of service we expect from The Keg. Food is still good but the service is not great. We had a very new server and no one was overseeing her. Our food was delivered without our sauce, no steak knives and no cracker for the lobster. And the food was warm, not hot. She knew we were waiting for these things so we could start eating, but instead of getting them for us she went to another table to take their order. It was clear our server was overwhelmed. Where was the manager? No where to be seen even though we asked. We used to love this restaurant. Now not sure if we're ever going back.

Good place over near Colorado Mills. Food was excellent, service was attentive and friendly, prices were good, place is pretty big so it was a tad busy, even with a reservation had to wait about 15 min to be seated. Just as good as it was when it was downtown.

The steak was mediocre, I asked for medium rare and I got basically well done. Its supposed to be dry aged and high quality but I've had better steaks at the Texas Roadhouse. Their fries were worse than any fast food restaurant fries. The onion rings were worse than a dive bars, and the bread was hard and boring. The menu is vague and undescriptive and makes it harder to choose what to eat. I will complement the service and atmosphere, they were great. The only thing I had that was great was their Mushrooms Neptune. I had HIGH hopes of the place after eating it, but their steak was immediately disappointing.

We just had the best experience at the Keg!! Our 38th wedding anniversary and we never go out!! We decided if we keep waiting until we can afford it we may never go out!! So glad we chose the Keg!! Very reasonable prices and our steaks were delicious!! Our waitress Nicole, was perfect!! Thank you Keg steakhouse for making our anniversary dinner so memorable and delicious!!!

Food was eh… for the cost. My steak was over cooked, I didn’t complain as not to waste it. The chocolate cake tasted as if it was in the refrigerator for a week. Total bill cost $150.00 for two. Sometimes you should just cook that nice meal yourself.

Sadly this place just keeps getting worse. We are desperate to like it again,but the last three visits have been awful. We are done. We always sit at the bar and it used to be consistently great - service, food, drinks, and energy. No more. They can’t hold a staff, they have regularly forgotten or messed up our orders. It’s just sad. Management needs to force them to write orders down NO ONE there is good enough to wing it. I hope they turn the place over and get it back to the great place it used to be. I highly suggest eating elsewhere.

First time trying The Keg and was so impressed! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, and the service is exceptional!! Yabee was so knowledgeable and super sweet, you can tell she really loves what she does. 10/10 recommend!

We always order Orange Slice Martinis and delicious onion rings at Happy Hour before we head to dining room for dinner. Excellent dining menu with quality sides. Yummy bread provided without cost. Salads and soups are ala carte except for Keg Classics. Ample parking. Servers are friendly and professional.

Was here for a birthday with my partner. Absolutely amazing and far superior to the joke that is STK Downtown. Spent 160 on a Tomahawk that was the most tasteless and poorly cooked meat ever. Keg knocks them out of the park. I can’t recall my servers name on Sunday but she was phenomenal and beyond knowledgeable. Definitely will be back!

I was craving a steak and haven't been for a long while. I'm seeing why restaurants are struggling. First off my waitress in lounge was really nice and is good at her job. Was 6/23/24 her name started with an A I believe. I think the bar and kitchen let her down. We started with drinks, I had a gin n tonic she asked for a mai tai. Mai tai was white and foaming when she brought it and it had some kind of gooey syrup in it, waitress was fine replacing it, I went over Mai tai recipe with her and she relayed to bar, next drink was good. Gin tasted flat, like tonic was flat or something, I just didn't say anything. Caesar was good, entrees we're not great. I had steak and crab, my steak has a semi thick char on it in spots, know that sound a knife makes cutting a burnt steak? But ironically temp was fine, ordered it medium. Crab was good, wasnt fishy, veggies were over portioned and asparagus had very little prep. I don't think ends were trimmed, and I got a lot of asparagus, imagine taking rubber band off a bunch, blanching it and putting the entire bundle on plate. Just felt wasteful, there was no way I could eat that much. Blackened chicken I thought was a weird combination of flavors, id expect some heat, it had honey on it. Was a really thin chicken breast. I could tell she didn't care for it we just we're tired and wanted to leave by this point. Just a bummer, I use to treat myself to the keg. Maybe they just had an off night. Hard to find good back of house anymore I imagine too. Consider turning down music just a tad in lounge too, it is loud.

I Had the 18 oz prime rib with lobster tail, my wife chose the filet mignon, we were both blown away with the food and service. I highly recommend this spot for a date night Also the billy miner pie is a great choice for dessert .

Had dinner on Father's Day. Restaurant was 1/2 to 3/4 full. Service took 1 3/4 hours before we finally had our meal. Steak was delicious and outside patio was the better seating option vs inside.

Loved the food, loved the drinks, and had great food and drinks. The bartender did act funny when I asked him (the bartender) for a bottle of wine for myself and made a scene, so I ended up drinking and paying for 6 glasses for the sake of arguing. That's my only complaint. Mind your own if I'm not in yours. I would definitely go back despite one employees (the bartenders) awkwardness.

Currently here right now ordered a shrimp cocktail starter 20 minutes ago... the waitress took our drink order 2 sodas 10 minutes ago... nothing here yet... 25 minutes 5 tiny shrimp for $15.00 The keg burger cooked perfect! The prime Rib sandwich a great take on a French dip! Fries hot and crisp! In all 2 stars average

My steak was cooked perfectly like I asked for. The lobster was also delicious. They have some newer wines on the list that I did not see the last time we were there. Great wine list. We love having special date nights here to treat ourselves to an incredible meal. We have also come by for happy hour and the appetizers were awesome. Highly recommend The Keg 😀

Outstanding traditional lardy cake . I had completely given up ever finding a good lardy cake , despite buying from numerous 'quality' and 'traditional bakeries. Decent 7 seed bread, and hot pasyies. Lady behind the counter was friendly and efficient.
