Quiet place just along the sea front. Very nicely prepared food and very tasty. In the summer time best to book to be sure of a table if their is more than 2 or near peak eating time.

My husband and I visit this amazing little restaurant every time we visit Aberystwyth. The food is lovely and the staff always give a warm welcome. The lunch time sharing platters are really nice and good value. You must visit this restaurant you won’t be disappointed.

Food For Thought

13/07/2019: Apart from the one young lad the rest of the staff were pretty rude. Service was slow. No kids breakfast option, it was 11.30 (breakfast finishing time) so I enquired if I could order a kids meal (ie, fish fingers and chips) to be told no, so my 3yrs old had to have a small breakfast, costing just short of £6, obviously wouldn't drink the tea that comes with it but wasn't allowed to swap for juice. What annoys me even more is the table next to us 5 muns later order of the main menu and are eating chips.... Even worse their food is served before ours! Rude and ridiculous!
22/04/2019: My wife had smoked salmon on scrambled egg which she enjoyed. I had the large cooked breakfast which was not very good at all.First, the gentlemen taking the orders seemed to be in a great hurry and not paying much attention. I ordered brown toast without butter, I got white and brown toast from thinly sliced bread. Too thin for good toast which came with butter. The bacon was overcooked, the sausages were poor catering sausages presumably from the cash and carry rather from a local butcher and the tinned tomatoes were just a sludge perhaps from the bottom of the tin. Guess who will not be coming back

The Daffodil Inn

28/04/2019: Arrrived late because of road problems but had a warm welcome. Very calm unhurried atmosphere. Very organised service. Could see kitchen which also seemed calm and organised. Very good Sunday lunch. Well cooked food and portion size good. Food arrived quickly.
18/04/2019: Family meal for 3 as a celebration. Can be challenging to find a decent place in this part of Wales but this was probably it. Very good freshly prepared food and nice surroundings. Friendly welcome from the owner on arrival. But I am afraid the table service was very poor. A young lady who was probably doing her best but was slow and had to take our desert order 3 times!!! 20 mins later no desert so we settled the bill and left. Hope my comments are taken as constructive as I would eat here again and recommend to friends and colleagues.
