Every so often you stumble upon excellence. This italian resturant is mystery. This chef has it all the culinary skills matched with exceptional customer service. As you sit down you are transported to Italy! The pasta is fresh and every dish is seasoned to perfection. I was there on Thursday and had to go again for Fathers day. I jave not eaten at the same restaurant twice in one week in 10 years. This restaurant is mouthwatering...

We had a fab time celebrating mothers day with the family. We were warmly welcomed and got a nice cozy table on the side. The food was great all round with only one small mishap that mum's chicken was served with potatoes instead of chips. My sea bream with salad was perfect. Thanks to the team for making our evening pleasant.

Gusto D'Oro is a cosy family-run Italian restaurant in the heart of South London. I had the pleasure of dining there with a large group of friends and we had a fabulous time. The owners are friendly, welcoming people who bring traditional Italian hospitality and cuisine to London in a special way. It is the perfect place to indulge in a feast of authentic Italian dishes cooked by a chef who hails from Naples, Italy. The food is amazing! The portions are generous, well presented and full of flavour. The menu caters for vegans, vegetarians, vegetarians, pescatarians and meat-lovers. My starter - ‘Calamari Fritti’ was crisp, well-seasoned and appetising. My primo - 'Spaghetti alle vongole’ was absolutely delicious and took me back to the Amalfi Coast. My secondo - ‘Polpo’ was tender and tasty. My dolce - the famous 'Tiramisu’ was a decadent melt-in-your-mouth experience. My family and friends all loved their meals and sent compliments to the chef. We concluded our culinary experience with limoncello and a promise to return. Thanks very much to Flora, Beatrice & Adriano for being so attentive to us and ensuring we had a wonderful time. Grazie mille!! Pamela

Tucked away under Eros House on Brownhill Road in Catford, this restaurant offers beautifully cooked seafood as you would experience by the coast in Italy. It is small enough to offer super service and a cosy atmosphere. The portions are very generous and the quality of the food is excellent. For such a high standard the prices are extremely reasonable.

We were looking for a place where to celebrate a small wedding. We decided to stay for dinner before making our mind up, I always wanted to dine at Gusto D’Oro but for a reason or another did not. That evening I fall in love with the place, the food, the atmosphere, the music and everything that was there. We decided to have our reception there, we spoke to the owners, Adriano and Beatrice, told them what we had in mind and they were amazing from the start. They took care of everything! On the day when we arrived I was over the moon seeing the tables and how everything had been decorated, we had a very warm welcome with some mimosas, the tables were beautifully decorated with flowers and candles it all had such a romantic atmosphere. I had a little bit of cold and Beatrice made me the most delicious tea I’ve ever had! We had bruschettas, insalata di mare, antipasto misto and caprese for starters, as a main we had mixed grilled meats, chicken, lamb, piatto imperiale and chips, roast peppers, salad and courgettes as a side, we had deep fried fish and I’m sure much more we ate so much that we can’t even remember it all! But everything was so fresh and made to perfection, everyone was over the moon with everything, even though we were a big group they were always amazing, smiling and making sure that we had everything we needed. Basically spot on from start to finish! We will definitely visit again and we highly recommend it to any sea food lover!

We found this restaurant whilst visiting the area and are always partial to a good Italian so we were delighted to find ourselves in a little corner of bella Italia with authentic, cosy decor and tables aglow with candles. The menu was full of temptation and it certainly didn’t disappoint with our choice of linguine all’ quazzetto, a dish bursting with flavour from the white wine-marinated sea bream, olives, cherry tomatoes, garlic, onion and a smidge of chilli. We also chose the risotto ai funghi e gorgonzola, being a sucker for this creamy delight. During the evening we learned from the friendly yet efficient staff that the restaurant was started by Italian friends Adriano and Marco, that latter providing the expertise in the kitchen whilst other family members add to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. After dessert, coffee and a quintessentially Italian glass of amaro, we said our farewells. Next time we’re nearby, we’ll be back.

Nice ambience, good lighting and decor, Italian music playing (perhaps slightly too loud, but not massively). Excellent service by the one waiter, who was very friendly and efficient. Starter of bruschetta con gamberetti was tasty but not hot enough. Pasta dish of spaghetti carbonara was a little disappointing ... I was excited because they do a proper Roman carbonara with just the egg, no added cream, but the guanciale wasn't crispy enough and the whole dish was no better than I make at home! The main courses however were very good indeed. Sea bream and lamb shank. The sea bream 'al quazzetto Napoletano' had a wonderful mix of herbs (mainly thyme) and was quite delicious; the lamb was in a thick tasty sauce. Portions were generous, Prosecco was good. I will be back, principally hoping to get better pasta!

Was visiting Catford for the Art Trail and an artist Wilfism.com exhibiting at Ninth Life. Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner. The dining room is well laid out. Very clean. Charming. Great atmosphere. Warm welcome. Not rushed. Great music. The menu is really well thought out, provides well known specialities from different Italian regions, results in something for all occasions and tastes. I went with our very professional servers’ recommendation of the sea bream linguini. Very, very good. Incredible taste, fresh/lively and perfectly seasoned. The right amount of oil and I recommend to order the bread as a side! Great value, pecorino matched perfectly to my dish and my wife’s vegetarian salad and crispy zucchini fritti. Recommend bruschetta to start, freshly made, light and fresh tomato/basil for my wife and also a deep, rich gamberetti for me. Really well done to Gusto D’oro. A family owned, local and authentic Italian that hosted us perfectly. Recommend highly.

Bellisima! Visited for a birthday treat with mum, tonight! Last time we visited we ate Linguine Vongole and Di Mare. However Tonight we had a beautifully succulent rib eye steak (Bistecca Vitello) and Veal Saltinbocco alla Romana full of sage, a bottle of Torrevento from Puglia and an outstanding Primitivo. Service was beautifully warm and inviting, Catford needs places that care like this x

Used to love this place and considered it a hidden gem and would pick up or order takeaways every few weeks. One time I was put off all their pizzas because the 2 I ordered both came covered in a bitter oily substance - likely a rancid oil, and one of them tasted suspiciously fishy even though it wasn’t meant to have any fish on it. Then I kept ordering only their risottos which I still enjoyed, but the last time I ordered the dish which cost over £10 came all oily and disgusting too, so I had to abandon this place altogether. Not sure how the quality of the food dropped so dramatically but it was very disappointing.

We ordered a date night bundle from Peppeckish and Giuseppe delivered it to us. It was so tasty, the portions were very generous (we have leftovers!) and the ingredients were of a high quality. We’ll definitely be ordering again and would highly recommend Peppeckish. Thank you Giuseppe and Sindy!

Busy, popular restaurant with great range of choices and particularly amazing breads. Had three courses, including meat and cheese platters for starters, which were lovely. Specials board a little difficult to read (light in way/behind me) - would be nice to have a printed version. Excellent mains, but disappointing tiramisu as sponge fingers were quite dry, which made them chewy - could have done with a Tia Maria poured over them. Overall a great, tasty meal with lovely staff giving a very warm welcome. Bit of a draughty as the front door is opened frequently for customers, and especially delivery bikes picking up collections, but no way round this really. Will be very happy to return again.

Whilst staying at the Premier Inn Hanger Lane for a gig at Wembley we were looking for a quick and easy early dinner . Palm Pizzeria was the ideal choice , handy to collect , very quick service , reasonably priced but most of all very tasty
