This restaurant has the décor and ambiance of a contemporary restaurant. Its beautifully decorated and its cleanliness is 5 stars. There is a big pizza oven at the front with a turntable for perfectly baked pizza. We were there on Sunday evening with friends to have a meal. We ordered the house red, a wine from Puglia and in my view was a quality product priced at a reasonable £23.00 per bottle. To start with I had the Antipasto alla romana, a wooden board with courgette frites, ariancci balls and tomato bruschetta. The bruschetta was the best thing on the plate with its subtle hint of basil and the tomatoes were aromatic. Sadly the courgette frites were undercooked and chef had attempted to tempura them. They were soggy and unevenly coated so definitely the worst example of courgette frites. Chef also tempura the arancini balls achieving a hot mess. Was this an attempt at fusion cooking, I don't know but it was awful but I was hungry so ate it. My main was Veal served with potatoes and broccoli. My veal was rolled up with ham and mozzarella skewered and pan cooked the outer area looked cooked well and I thought this meat looks enticing. One mouthful and I immediately knew my eyes had deceived me it had no seasoning and was not cooked fully throughout. The potatoes were cold and the broccoli was over cooked and waterlogged. My husband ordered octopus and he said it was just alright, but his potatoes and broccoli were the same as mine. In fact the only meal that was presented to us and met with our expectations was the 12" Diavlo pizza. We all tasted it and can authenticate it as a very good pizza. My friend lived in Lake Garda in Italy for over 20 years and she said this is not an Italian food far from it! I suggest this restaurant reinvents itself as a pizzeria or change the chefs - the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. So disappointing. I would not have eaten but the only meal I had that day was breakfast so I was very hungry. Finally for dessert three of us ordered Tartufo Affogato al caffe - what could go wrong hot espresso poured over vanilla ice cream sadly chef continued with his bad cook day and served our dessert with the espresso already poured over the ice cream - its never served that way.... never! So when dessert was placed on our table the espresso was already cold, its suppose to melt the ice cream when you pour it over and as the ice cream was solid I am guessing cold espresso was poured over it! Our bill totalled £200.59 it included 10% service charge. The service was average the waitress was polite, pleasant to look at and talk to but that was not the only reason we were there we were there for some good homecooked Italian food and we were disappointed. So although to look at this restaurant it presents as a promising Italian restaurant I would most definitely steer clear because its cover does not match its appearance.

Phenomenal restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty every time I’ve been. Exquisite prawns and delicious linguini. Since eating the pizza from here, I’ll never go back to Dominos. The service is first class, so hospital and authentic - helps the experience of dining. The atmosphere is just right, pleasant to be there, soft music and well decorated. Highly recommended. Look no further.

The recent refurb is really nice and the food very good, however the service needs attention and the obviously new staff need training in food hygiene and customer service. During a recent visit, a female behind the food counter constantly coughed into her hand, scratched and rubbed her face & nose and even re-did her ponytail after combing both hands through her hair several times, all this while standing over the various cakes and pastries in front of her.

I have ordered from this place multiple times. Both lasagne and spaghetti bolognaise are Cooked to utter perfection. The packaging is perfect and food is always fresh. This is the place for Italian food. Keep it up guys!!!
