Gulshan One in Wigan

This place came recommended and didn't disappoint. The food was great & the customer service was too. Great value for money and good parking facilities.

We went this evening with a table of 14 people and children . The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. Very friendly and smiley staff. Would definitely go again

Another 5 star review being given again for this restaurant after another successful visit. Food was fantastic as always. Waiters were all welcoming and chatty - even going out their way to discuss food options with my partner who isn't much into spice! Very reasonably priced too. We had the meals pictured plus 3 pints of kingfisher, 1 bottle of kopperberg and 2 coffees and it was only £62 outside of any offer times.

Found the place by chance on the way back home. The food was really nice with a very reasonable price. The place itself also had a nice atmosphere, the only downside was that it took a long time for the food to be served. In general very satisfied with the place.

Tried here for the first time yesterday, was lovely + quiet! Service was quick, staff are welcoming + friendly too! Food was delicious... I only managed to get one photo of the starter plate I was full of sharing this... So much flavour on one plate. Definitely worth a try

Called for the all you can eat buffet on Sunday. Very disorganised, lots of empty tables full of dirty empty plates and the floor looked like it had never seen a hoover. Sat waiting and saw the barman putting ice in the drinks glasses using his hands. No explanation of what we needed to to at the buffet apart from if there's no food tell them. Wasn't much choice and hardly any food left, so had to wait for them to put more food out and there still wasn't much. The food that we had wasn't too bad for what you pay, £11.95. They ask if you want poppadoms but these are charged extra. Lots of kids running about with parents not having a care in the world. Don't think we'd go again. It totally lacked atmosphere.

One thing I really don't like is the restaurant making you wait in the foyer asking you to buy drinks and thinking you will buy more because of the wait even though the restaurant is half empty and we have turned up on the time you booked, it just makes me buy less drinks on purpose. The food was good for the buffet but could do with more selection. One star less for the wait

Been this evening with my husband, what a disappointment!! Set starter, main meal each, bread, rice and chips to share and 4 drinks just over £65.00. I usually wouldn't grumble but in my husband's words "Slurry" it was one of the worst Indian meals we have had and certainly won't be returning!! We gave it a second chance as we had the same problem a few years ago Things obviously haven't changed apart from the name !! Much nicer Indians within the local area which are better value for money and actually taste like an Indian should !!

Decent curry this, friendly staff. Nice decor inside too, definitely needs more attention this place, to get the atmosphere up. As good as any other curry place local to Standish, but with the bonus of extra parking. Some interesting choices on the menu with much more than your usual "British style" curries, as well as 2 and 4 person set menus. We'll definitely be back to try something different next time.

Fabulous food, staff lovely. Just 1 negative, we went on a Sunday evening and felt we were being rushed out at 9.30pm when closing time was 10.30pm.

Abdul and the Team have served us well over many years and although the restaurant is currently closed due to the Pandemic the take away side is still open and food is fantastic as always! Excellent set meal, tasty and plentiful highly recommended.

There was a long black hair in one of our mains and when we called to complain, we are told that it was fiber from cinnamon and ginger. The person who answered the phone was very condescending and not listening to our complaint, stating we weren’t telling the truth. We were also missing a starter from our order completely. Our bag must have been chucked around because everything we leaking. The naan bread was raw in the center. And to top it all off, one of our mains had a large full cinnamon stick straight through the Center; making everything taste like perfume. We will definitely not be ordering from here again and would advise other to avoid.

This place is amazing, food is incredible IMO been many times never disappointed, but today was the 1st time we'd been for the Sunday buffet, great variety of dishes, very busy, booking recommended!! Staff very friendly and helpful, would recommend.

Very tasty and good sized portions, one of our group is a celiac, the restaurant catered for them without a problem. It's was fairly quiet when we went but it was just before Christmas so people may have been staying in to save money. I would definitely go back.

Rather a quiet Sunday, very cold and icy, but Abdul and his team served the four of us with a lovely meal as akways

Not the best food here we went for the Sunday buffet the food wasn’t topped up often no onion bhajis had to ask for them, no chicken in the tikka masala and the tikka sauce was so sweet it was un-eatable and also the food wasn’t hot

Highly recommend Jalfrezi and Samber with green chilli. The best around!

We had the buffet ( 3 adults ) and I made the mistake of buying a bottle of merlot not realising it would cost £23.95. My son had a bottle of cobra £5.95. It was my fault for not checking with staff the prices beforehand. But to be charged almost £23 for a bottle of wine has spoiled the experience and we will not be going there wgain

Awful experience twice in a row. The latest I waited more than 2 hours for our food. I would not recommend nor will I be using again.

Went for a birthday. Food wasn’t as good as previous visits. Staff were really lovely. No baby changing facilities - we were directed to use one of the eating booths. Most people said their food was nice. Unfortunately mine was quite bland.

Stopped here for some dinner & it was fantastic. The food and service was fantastic. The owner was a very very good host and paid attention to his customer.

Top feed. Great service, food was lovely and very reasonably priced, will definately be returning for sure. Dropped a star for the venue itself, its looking tired and could do with a refurb, it felt very dark in there because of the low ceiling and dark walls. However, I would highly recommend you try them out, I don't think you'd be disappointed

Not sure what has happened at this place. Used to go here often. Visited a few months back and had a poor experience but thought we can all have a bad day and put it down to that. Went again at the weekend and was so disappointed. The food was not great and they tried to convince us that one of the currys we ordered was correct even though it wasn't. The restaurant from the outside is falling apart and is in need of some urgent repairs. We did tell the waiter about how disappointed we was but they did not seem that interested.

We tried the all you can eat buffet, the price was good, the staff are nice and helpful the food needs more flavour

Have not been here for some years but had the best Indian meal for a very long time. I had a mixed Biriani which was filled with lamb,chicken,prawns and King prawns. The rice was well cooked and the Madras sauce to accompany was delicious. Will not wait to long before we visit again.

Awful, had chicken that was not cooked we couldn't believe it, the food was not great tasteless and rubbish won't be returning, the worst Indian we have been to!!! We would give 0 starts if we could. Very very disappointed, by the way, make sure you pub kids and adults in different area, we were put near a couple that had twins that were so loud and wouldn't shut up, we come out tonight away from our kids to relax and ended up being stressed out next to these people who had no control over there kids. Horrendous

Just had a lamb curry ,the curry was nice but the lamb was tough I mentioned it to the waiter but the just said I will tell the chef. Don't think I will be going back

First visit, the food was delicious, humongous portions (not that that's what we wanted, but others might like to know that), and the staff were lovely chatty and helpful. Never obtrusive, and very welcoming. Thus will become our regular go-to for s curry night out. Also, gotta say the best mango lassi I've had in years. I meant to ask if they also serve chaas which I have come to love.

Was looking forward to having a nice meal at the cinamon, having been a regular guest for over two years. However on 21st May 2021 oh dear what's happened my starter was still partially frozen mains terrible so dry.. Management apologies saying he told the chef not to serve it. I won't be going back

Fantastic Food, friendly staff with good portion sizes. Especially like the Peshwari naan. Order takeaway from them frequently.

What the heck!! Ordered what was supposed to be chicken tikka. Got a BRIGHT RED runny mess looking like fake blood with what looks like lumps of flesh of inside. (The chicken tikka pieces i guess) Disgusting!! NEVER AGAIN.

Very poor. Ordered food to be delivered through just to eat, the estimated time for delivery was 35 - 50 minutes. I ordered at 7.20 and got a confirmation back saying the food would be with me at 8.25 (1 hour and 5 mins) but then the food actually only arrived at 9.05 and it was stone cold. The chicken was rubbery and the sauce bland. One of the worst curries I have ever eaten. It's a shame because I have been to the restaurant in the past and it was good historically.

Had a delicious curry here tonight, I tried a few dishes and all tasted lovely. The staff were very friendly, the portions were huge and overall it was excellent! The only negative I can mention is that the coca cola we ordered was warm, poured from a large bottle and put in a glass with ice so it went flat within seconds- guys put your coke in the fridge!!

An excellent experience. We tried the Grand Buffet. Great range of high quality food and well presented. Service was excellent as always. One slight grumble would be that the cost of soft drinks is expensive. Will definitely be back. Edit- went back 4 weeks later at a later time. Still plentiful food and excellemt service.

This place was okay. Lots of parking available. Looks like they were having some refurbishment work done internally. Only decided to come here as I found it on the Meerkat Meals app. Staff nice enough. Food okay. No complaints.

Terrible service. Food was very tasteless. Very small portions. The place its self is very dirty. We will not be returning or recommending to anyone. The picture is of the table clothes and the place had just opened.

One of their special nights. Food was very good the entertainment was good. Only complaint is it was to loud making it almost impossible to hold a conversation.

Tasty well prepared and presented food, with very generous portions of meat. The restaurant is unappealing externally and to a lesser degree this follows through to the interior which is rather dull and dated. Price is competitive which compensates, so worth a return visit.

Called in here the other night hoping to find a good curry house but was very disappointed. Restaurant looks good but the staff seemed rather complacent with little enthusiasm. The meal itself was rather tasteless. In the lamb dish we had we found the lamb was rather hard and rubbery and the chicken dish we had the chicken was dry and flavourless. Won’t be going back. Will rather travel further to our usual place :-(
