Grilandia in Merton

Stupidly unreal…. I mean that …. I’ve eaten in some fine places on my travels but this place beats anywhere I’ve had the good fortune to visit. Had the meze for 2….. flavors I’ve never encountered before , meat was divine , I could go on. Service was impeccable, the ambience is gorgeously balanced with vibrant music but you’re still able to chat. Please come here , it’s phenomenal.

We had our wedding party here and it was FANTASTIC! Saadia was so accessible throughout the planning to the day, all the staff were so accommodating and welcoming. The food was excellent and the drinks flowed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the decor made it great for photos!

A great spot in Wimbledon. We were looked after by Baskin who was perfect from start to finish. We didn’t know what to order and he was super attentive and helpful along with the other staff. The food was so fresh with great sized portions. We’ll be back! Can’t recommend enough!

Great place, food is awesome, decorations is beautiful , the staff is super lovely. The manager in charge was always enquiring if all was good and ensured we were having a great time and we did . It made my mum's day with absolutely yummy food. Would recommend to anyone living or working nearby.

I'm a Chef and I've worked in many luxurious establishments and for multiple Michelin Starred Chefs. Lunch at Grilandia was one of the best I've ever had. The food was delicious, so tasty, the Bread, the Hummus, the Sea Bass, the Lamb Shank, the Coconut and Strawberry Cake, the Strawberry Mojito is a MUST TRY! absolutely wonderful food and drink! I could spend hours working my way through their menu, We DID spend hours working our way through the menu! The service was INCREDIBLE! Amine and Amber were both superb, fantastic at their job. Amine and Amber if you read this I just want to thank you both from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate you both and everything you did. It really means a lot. You are both Artists, you create amazing experiences for people. Dining at Grilandia will be one of my greatest Christmas memories. Thank you. I hope I can return the favour one day.

We would like to give compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳. The prawn meal was out of this world, delicious. The hospitality of the staff was superb and swift. We would definitely Recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet yet authentic atmosphere to dine.

I moved to wimbledon recently and wanted to try out Grilandia as I pass it everyday on my way to the bus stop. So i decided to bring my husband there last Friday for his birthday and wow what an amazing experience. Great staff and even better food. We had the set menu for 2 and the portion sizes were outstanding - which they let us take home for afters 😊 I mentioned it was my husbands birthday in passing and they brought us a surprise cake with some candles which was a lovely touch - i highly recommend this place for food, for the family environment and for any occasion you’re looking to have!!

Things of gone downhill! Beware! After a good start last year this location service has declined. Tonight wait staff was rude. Would not allow us to sit near the front where we wanted. We had to sit outside. Despite know one else sitting there. Wine awful sent back and still charged! Avoid!

We dropped in to this restaurant on a quiet weekday looking for something local and easy. Wimbledon has many restaurants, but they are mostly bland corporate chains serving overpriced, unloved food. Although Grilandia is part of a small chain, the food we had there was a genuine pleasure. Lamb cutles were soft, tender and flavoursome. The meze dips were properly made and presented, even the chips that came with the lamb were done to perfection. Our waitress Sabrina was attentive and friendly, a great advert for the restaurant. She was inviting and generous, and spoke fluent Spanish which was a nice bonus for my partner. Even by today's crazy prices, Grilandia gives impressive value for money, whether you are on a budget or can spend a little more, and I'm happy to recommend to anyone who has a taste for good Lebanese food. A rather laidback vibe in arrival, shown to our table, drinks order taken all nice and relaxed. Food order made and, despite being half full, our starters arrived very quickly, which is fine. However before we were half way through them main courses arrived and all put on table. Just felt too quick. Having said that the food was excellent, large portions and well cooked, but if we hadn’t meandered over our meals and asked for coffee the laidback style would have actually seen us in and out in 40 minutes, all with the staff not appearing to do much! This is not a destination restaurant but if you want good food, with large portions and a relatively quick meal then this is the place for you.

Went for a pre-theatre meal. We pre-booked and when arrived was offered a table either outside (a lot of traffic including buses goes passed so this was a no at this time of day) or a table by the door. We asked if we could sit at the back as there were tables and were told no, so had to sit by the door. As it was a warm evening we had to inhale smoke from the smokers sitting/walking outside and bus fumes. This did not add to the "experience" of eating out. Other people came in after us and were offered a table out the back. Not great for customer service. We had two cocktails, the pumpkin kibbe and roasted vegetables as starters which were ok, the lamb tekka and mixed grill which was cooked very nicely as main courses. Not outstanding and we didn't feel that it was worth the price. We felt very rushed which was unnecessary, we spent a total of 1 hour plus 10 mins waiting for the card machine. At over £80 (including service charge) that is a high hourly rate even for Wimbledon.

Recently move to Wimbledon and tried this lovely looking restaurant with friends who were visiting from overseas. We were hoping to catch up over a quiet meal on a Wednesday night. However, the restaurant had a large party of people who took up at least half the restaurant and it was incredibly loud, with loud music on top of that. It sounded like a nightclub and we were shouting at each other to be heard. We asked for the music to be turned down - I’m not sure that it was. Eventually the table of people started singing and dancing (taking selfies next to us the whole night too) and we couldn’t even get out the front door - we had to escape via a back door. The staff did comp the drinks, to their credit and apologised. However, it’s completely unacceptable to book what should have been a private event alongside other customers - the room is far too small. As a result, it was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience. It’s a false economy to try to make money from an event alongside regular customers as the regular customers will not come back.

Absolutely AMAZING experience in every way. A massive thanks to Imad, Saadia and all of the other incredible staff. From start to finish all interaction with the manager Imad regarding the large booking was seamless, what a lovely man. We booked a meal/event for 24 people after our wedding and had such a brilliant time, it completely made our day and we can’t thank the staff enough. Saadia very kindly decorated our tables with flowers, a balloon arch (amazing) Mr and Mrs napkins and a Mr&Mrs Sign which was such a nice touch. We also booked a singer recommended by Imad who was brilliant ‘Simo Jazzy’ on Instagram. He really got the party going and all of our guests had a great time. Now onto the food which was also perfect, considering our table was so big we were all so impressed with the quality of the food. It was all so tasty, all came at the same time and was piping hot. We had a mixture of meze’s for starters and then a mixed grill (including one fish dish) with rice, salad and chips followed by baklava and fruit platters - all amazing. I would definitely recommend booking Grilandia for any event you have, or just for a meal out as it’s definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve been too, thank you so much everyone!
