Greggs in South Somerset

Very poor service. The table had not been cleaned, and had sauce and crumbs over it. The chicken bakes were cool, and the person behind the counter said that they had trouble heating stuff! The baguette was stodgy and chewy. The cup of tea was O.K. On leaving, I visited the toilets. Dreadful! Not clean, smelly and rubbish on the floor.

Girl served a customer at 07;15, at 7:30 he returned, he asked for a latte but got an Americano, asked for a breakfast baguette but got a role. My turn I asked clearly for a sausage and bacon role and a regular white coffee. She handed me my roll and began serving the next customer, er, my coffee! Oh yes right what was it? Walked across the car park in the passing rain to find a bacon roll, brown sauce when I asked for NO SAUCE and a…. You guessed it a latte! Needless to say this is a Greggs I won’t return too.

Stopped off on our journey, for coffee & Greggs snacks. Toilets unkempt. Greggs staff not welcoming at all, & the woman had no people skills, a miserable expression with no smile or thank you. Just handed bag over the counter abruptly & walked away. We often visit Greggs., as the sausage rolls are always superb but it's the first & last time we'll visit here. Such a let down & giving Greggs a bad reputation . Takes a long time & effort to build a good reputation, and just 5 minutes to lose it. .

Stopped here on route to Cornwall on Sat 14 Sep for a coffee and snack. Did get coffee to take away but was put off eating anything by the strong smell of urine permeating from the toilets into the restaurant dining area. Definitely won’t be stopping here in the future.
