Green Garden Restaurant in Isle of Anglesey

Ordered food tonight and it was so bad we hardly touched it. Crispy beef came with hardly any sauce and was more like crunchy batter I don’t think there was any beef inside. The chicken satays were bone dry the rest of the food was barely warm on arrival. It’s quite expensive compared to other places but the food definitely is not worth the price!I won’t ever order from there again

Went there.. Food was terrible absolutely disgusting… atmosphere was disappointing.. holes in the walls and really old and dirty decor. I got egg fried rice.. the rice was really dry and the egg was just rubbery.. I also got 5 chicken balls they were the driest chicken balls and the batter was soggy and greasy. Absolutely terrible never again.

My wife is Chinese. I've lived in China for 12yrs. We are on vacation here in the UK. And we were both happy with the food. Nuff said! And the staff is super friendly. Thanks.

We had a takeaway from here and I will say the price for the box we had was very reasonable. However, completely inedible due to the amount of salt on everything! We love salt and pepper food, but wow they took the salt to a whole new level. I am not fussy but this was SALTY and we couldn't eat it unfortunately. Maybe something else that isn't "salt and pepper" flavoured will be nice.

Second time we have ordered. 1st time didn't get what we ordered 2nd time, noodle boxes great value but sauces were watered down, horrible, put off oing again after 2 average meals.

After driving into town awaiting a ferry I walked past the Green Garden. It was pretty unassuming but looked cheap. I ordered spring rolls, crispy beef, some rice and a beer. Ice fast, the food was hot and fresh and I was happy after my meal. What more could you want from a small town Chines takeaway.

Had chicken curry with egg fried rice was lovely and just to my taste not to spicy, my Mrs had the veg and black bean which was also tasty and gorgeous, good delivery service too as we were off the beaten track 😊

Always have good food,to me it’s the best Chinese in Holyhead always nice n polite there to,keep up the good work

Anthony who took our call was brilliant. He took time to understand what we wanted. The food was delicious. My friend who is oriental recommended this chinese restaurant and we have not been disappointed. Thankyou

We ordered a takeaway which could have been delivered however as we were holidaying we were unsure if they delivered that far. The food was excellent, large portions and a good price. The actual shop was clean and the gentleman serving was friendly The salt and peeper chips were not as mentioned but lovely and well tasty. Would recommend the chow mien, chicken in green peppers and black bean sauce and sticky chicken

Cannot fault this place. The staff were very friendly, delivery was prompt and the food was a good portion and very tasty. Would highly recommend this place.

Salt and pepper chips were horrendous, just tasted like normal chips. They gravy was like mud. Do not recommend

Worst Chinese I've ever had...took ages to arrive then it was cold and the meat very fatty ....disappointed to say the least

Cannot rate this high enough! Have been getting my take away from here for about 4 years and I have never been disappointed! Love the fact the meals are so fresh - veg still crunchy and the sauce is so full of flavour without being too heavy! I have been a vegetarian for just over and year and have recently started ordering the bean curd satay - 4th time now - always lovely fresh crunchy veg, my kids are now eating it too 😊😊😊 yummy my hubby loves the black bean - chicken or bean curd and also the beef in tomato which I used to love is yummy! Highly highly recommended!

Dissapointed doesn't cut it. Spur of the moment order resulted in weird tastes, oily food, not cooked properly and watered down. Prawn toast wasn't cooked and raw pink in middle. The duck was greasy and pancakes dry. The soups had cubes of hard chicken in them and didn't taste right, even though it arrived nice and thick, turned watery after it cooled. Special fried rice was clearly warmed up. We pushed the boat and ordered some ribs and wonton too. Neither tasted right, the dog ended up with them. Don't waste your time here. We won't be back!!

We were disappointed with the food we received. the special chow mein my wife had she described as ok. I had chinese style duck I can`t even describe this as ok, whilst the duck was ok the lettuce in thin gravy was not

Every Time me and my partner are ordering chinese Take Away we go here, the food is fantastic and the price is very fair. Also compared to many of the other takeaway places in Holyhead it's one of the best. With regard to price its definitely the best.

My girlfriend and I ordered from here last night. Due to poor signal on my phone I didn't know our food had arrived but the delivery lady was very patient and waited outside our B&B for a while until they were able to get hold of me. The driver was very friendly and our food was of great quality and value. I'd definitely recommend ordering from here.

Customer Service here is brilliant... rang an order after 10.45 and they still delivered for me. foods always piping hot.

Paramos en Holyhead en el camino a Dublín a través del ferry. Como el Travelodge no comida no sándwiches elegantes para el té, así que preguntamos por la ciudad y encontramos este lugar. Códigos que no parece mucho en el interior y el exterior para ser justos, sin embargo, la comida era muy buena. Teníamos carne con tomate y un curry de ternera con arroz, buenas raciones de tamaño sirven agradables y calientes, el servicio era excelente, el camarero tan atento.

We often get a takeout from here and sometimes have a sit down and are always pleased! Lovely staff so friendly and happy! Great selection of food and really tasty! Brilliant!

Empty, due to out of season, but very good. Good food, both Chinese and English. Mushroom omelette was really good. Reasonable priced wine.

Lovely food , and nice staff :) My special curry is out of this world ,loads of meat and lovely chips :)

We were the only people in on the evening of our visit. Certainly there is no atmosphere and the place was more like a takeaway with some tables at front of house. However, the food was standard edible chinese.

Carole at Appleby's. Great food and very nice people,try Thai Lamb great dish and beef curry free rice or chips with curry.Also very good service with takeaways.

Have been here a few times now and will continue to go, food is brilliant and staff are helpful. However the fact that the delivery boys sit in the restaurant having no food and just sitting in silence makes the atmosphere a little awkward and the phone ringing loudly can be annoying. However I would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere a little quieter to have their Chinese.

Had a meal at Green Garden and its décor was basic though the service was friendly. There wasn’t a lot of choice in Holyhead and as we had passed by the restaurant/ takeaway in the morning, decided to give it a try. As we were eating pretty early, there wasn’t anyone else in the dining area. Food wasn’t bad – we ordered some panfried pork dumplings, chicken and cashew nuts, salt and pepper tofu, and seafood fried rice. The food all looked very pale for some reason but were reasonably tasty, esp the dumplings and fried rice. All in all, not a bad experience – we were hungry, wet and cold and were happy to find a place which had decent food for our tastes.

My boyfriend and I live at 78 market street just a few houses up from the green garden, we have never been there before and thought as it was my boyfriends birthday we would try it and it was the best Chinese we have ever tried. The food was amazing and great value for money also the service was very friendly not to mention the fast device with the food. Thank you so much I would highly recommend this place for a family meal or even a take away. Daniel and Natasha

Nothing to dislike. The menu was extensive, service good and we really enjoyed our meal.I chose the crispy duck which was done to perfection.

Stumbled across this place while searching for somewhere to eat. Made to feel very welcome. Food made to order and it is delicious! Lovely place - take out orders very popular and excellent value!

We were the only people in the restuarant on a Sunday evening, so perhaps unsurprising there was little atmosphere. Seems like most people in town order takeaway. The menu offers a good range of choices also for vegetarians. We had the salt and pepper tofu (very salty!) and sweet and sour tofu (brightly coloured). Plenty of rice served in an insulated box to keep it warm - nice touch. Food was fine, but more takeaway standard than restaurant.

Had a lovely meal here. The set menu was great value and the waitress was really helpful. Only downside was it was a little quiet although that meant our food came out promptly.
