What wonderful food, I would come back a thousand times... very good service too.

The meal was alright. The chips were lacking in flavour. It’s very expensive for what you get in my opinion. Probably wouldn’t return.

Popped by here for some lunch this afternoon 11/10/24 we ordered a chicken gyros and a pork gyros. You get a lot of food for your money so that is excellent. Me and my wife both found that pur gyros were lacking flavour and sauce. As succulent as the chicken and pork was it lacked extra sauce and flavour. We've had better gyros at other Greek restaurants/street vendors. Service was quick and clearly see its a popular place. Staff very nice. We would go back and try again.

Greek Village Service is tremendously wam and friendly. The food has a lot of delicious variety. My friends and I come all the time and each time, it is a pleasant experience.

Arrived hot and fresh and the food is absolutely stunning. Authentic and tasty and definitely recommended!

Great Greek food. Huge portions and really good quality

Great food, absolutely enormous portions. I ordered a gryros and a greek salad and got enough food for two people. The service is friendly (you do need to order at the counter). The inside is very casual, but quite nice. A few wobbly tables, and some inconsiderate diners do leave the bathroom door open. But overall this is a lovely little find in the city centre.

Yes, there are good people, but the food is a shock. I don't know if I'm looking for a meat sandwich or a potato sandwich.

Staff did not make it clear that we had to order from the till after sitting, even though I asked them. Service was extremely slow, they had to check our receipts multiple times and still forgot one of the orders. Food quality was okay and reasonable for the price. Will not be choosing to eat here again.

Ordered the village platter for 2.... excellent food. Will definitely go again...🙂

I haven’t lived in Cardiff for years but I still think every now and then about how good the chicken gyro was at this place, best in town imo

It was my first time I've been there had nice conversations with Ali they have very nice staff, But meat was really salty!

There was a large queue so we expected a little bit of a wait but after the entire restaurant was served even though they came in 20 minutes after us and the take away queue went through so many people we had to complain. This didn't appear to do anything. We complained again after 45 minutes of no service for an order that appeared to take 5 minutes for other patrons. The staff started getting arsey with us and not taking ownership of their mistake. Eventually we asked for a refund and they initially charged us again. After noticing on the receipt I had to ask for an actual refund. Eventually the situation was resolved but it was such an awful experience I don't intend on going back.

The worst meat ever served. Very rough and it was stinking too. The person who prepared it would never have eaten it himself; apparently he takes advantage of people’s low food quality standards/expectations here. Terrible service too. I had to wait for 30 minutes to be served, as they prioritised a group of 10 people before me (even though I had placed my order first). Frankly ridiculous.

I go there every week the food was lovely the staff the service atmosphere best thanks guys like always...!!!

Best Greek gyros souvlaki in Cardiff 🔝

Excellent little place, food superb it is mainly takeaway but has about 20 covers approx to the rear. Introduced my friend to Greek food and she is now definitely a convert. A platter for 2, 2 cokes and two beers under £50.00 Fantastic value my favourite place to eat in Cardiff.

I think this was the best Greek food we had in the UK. Food was delicious and the portion was big. Staff was also lovely and polite. Highly recommended!

They take too long to cook the food but overall it’s good. Keep in mind there is 3 people in the kitchen!

Excellent gyros. The chicken is succulent and crispy, and the salad tastes fresh. If you're not a fan of cucumber, then instead of the tzatziki sauce I would highly recommend the feta sauce! They also have Mythos beer to go along with it 😋

I have been to 4 Greek Islands this year but this was the best meal by far.

Halloumi wrap is my absolute favourite quick bite to eat in Cardiff, 10/10!

The Gyros was very nice but the Saganaki cheese was cold, tough and generally unpleasant especially considering the price.

Great little place, opened earlier than the competition, if you need to eat before 12pm. Very tasty food and lads will do their best to make it to your liking. Price wise, is on average £7, which beats McD’s, and pork gyros definitely hits the spot. Will be back, very much recommended!

First and foremost, the staff are so sweet, kind and welcoming. they always great you with a smile and a polite “hello!” and always say “goodbye and have a good day”. they prepare the food so quick and it tastes heavenly. the portions are huge and fills you right up. i’ve eaten here a handful of times and each time the food has never disappointed. the place is so nice and they have greek drinks, which i think is a very nice touch. if you would like a budget friendly, delicious meal you must come here.

They have very good staff members. They are pleasant and very welcoming. The food is so tasty and in a very good portion for the price. I would diffenetly go back again

The food is amazing for people that actually know the greek cuisine. The service is so welcoming and they were making sure everything was okay with our table. The prices are amazing for the amount of food they give u. I definitely recommend this restaurant to others. They also have another restaurant in birchgrove which is as great as the one in town but more spacious. Love it!!!!

Authentic Greek food with generous portions

Μπράβο στα παιδιά το φαγητό ήταν τέλειο και να πω ότι κατέχω την τέχνη αυτί. και το φαγητό τους για δεδομένα του uk είναι πολύ κοντά στο ελληνικό το κοτοσουβλακι ήταν τρομερό και σαν πίτες αρκετά τούμπανο μπράβο τους!!!

Having just been in Greece, Athens to be exact, I was curious to see the similarities...if any. In Ohio, we pronounce Gyro with the G but learned in Athens its actually like an H. Like hero. So the man was surprised to hear it. Especially from an American accent. Got the Gyro and though better in Greece, obviously, it was good. No complaints. Fast service and in and out.

Wow we visit this lovely little restaurant/takeaway most weekends and it is fantastic. The food is cooked to perfection. The staff are absolutely wonderful they above and beyond. The white whine is lovely and very reasonable. We were given a little treat which was fried halomi with honey and wow it was sooo beautiful and tasty. I must admit this is such a lovely place once you have been and eaten the food you are hooked. We will be back xx

This is a very underrated restaurant. Greek Village has a large variety of Greek foods on their menu, and it is some of the best Greek food I have ever tried. Although the food isn't the only thing I love about this place, the restaurant has been decorated to make you feel as if you were sitting in Greece. The workers were very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. 100% worth every penny.

Sorry, some great reviews but bang average for us. Yes, plenty of meat on the £24 platter but a bit dry and bland generally. Worst thing for us though in fairness was salad had no cucumber or onion and when I asked for some lemon juice the lady said sorry we don't use it. How is that even possible?

There is a wide variety of different Greek Cuisine on offer here, Upon visiting i had the sharing platter for 2. All of the parts that made it up were all very tasty, with each one offering its own unique flavour of Greece. Which ties in with a charred flavour from the grill which was lovely. If your looking to try some Greek food, this is worth a go!

Rubbish, ordered £30 work of food - ended up with two slices of halloumi, one gross pork skewer, a pot of tzatziki, one small chicken skewer in a wrap (advertised only as chicken skewers - plural) and a ton of cold bread. Don’t waste your time or money.

Went there today and had the village platter, food was lovely. But the ambiance was awful never had such a bad experience in my life. Said hello to all the three servers and was ignored. Main bloke on till didn't speak to me at all just pushed the bill at me for payment before food. Said goodbye and thanks on the way out and was totally ignored. Spent nearly £35 for lunch and felt I was a inconvenience to them even though it was dead, more interested in playing on there phones. Wouldn't come back as would like to feel welcome.

Great food and generous portions.

Disappointly not good. Had the village sharing platter. Mostly chips covered by some gyros. Burger was salty and sausage was mass produced. Only two tiny portions as dips. Found the bottle of retina expensive at £10 for a small beer size bottle. Won't go back again.

Absolutely delicious chicken souvlaki gyros. It was made fresh in front of me and had great flavour. I would 100% visit again! Very authentic

The food is great and filling for reasonable prices. We tried both the pork and chicken gyros. The Greek Meatballs are absolutely delicious. Service is timely and good. The place is kept hygienic and clean.

Also serve alcohol which is a plus on what is primarily a dry takeaway street

Terrible customer service from what we think might have been the owner, as we really cannot imagine an employee being so rude to customers. There were 6 of us and we found this place on Google, which seems to have great reviews. However, based on our experience I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. More than that, I suggest you don't even bother stepping foot in that place if you don't want to be kicked out by the owner's repulsive way of dealing with his potential customers. At least, that's what happened to us. I don't remember ever coming across anyone like him - anyone in this industry, at least. We all wanted to sit at the same table. At first, there were no tables available for 6 people, and we agreed to sit 4 and 2, at 2 separate tables. Before even ordering, 2 tables(small squared tables where you could fit 4 people - one on each site of the table) became available. We wanted to put those 2 together, but he insisted, with a very mean look on his face, that we can't. That he needs the tables for other customers. We asked if they are reserved and he said no, but he just doesn't want us to sit there. And people have sat there 2 minutes ago. And again, with the meanest look on his face. There were at least 3 more table available inside and a few more outside, so not sure why he chose to reject business instead of welcoming it. But I guess, each to their own. And if they're still there maybe this guy is not always so grumpy and rude. We decided instantly that we cannot eat there, as who knows what they'll do to our food :) if he has such issues and also, we would not want to spend our money on such terrible service and support or encourage this type of business.

La verdad que el gyros estaba fantástico. Lo recogimos en el propio local ya que estábamos por el centro. Pero no le damos cinco estrellas, ya que consideramos que la atención pudo ser algo más amable. Aún así, lo hemos pedido también a casa a domicilio y la calidad de la comida siempre ha sido muy buena. Recomendable, especialmente el servicio a domicilio.

My favourite place, lovely staff and the best food in city centre. My friend and I have a "Greek night" once a month at Greek Village. Huge portions , ready in 5-10 min . Real treat at low prices, highly recommend this place. Ideal place for my lunch breaks

Worst delivery ever ! Everything it was cold and not what we ordered !

Food never turned up. Driver just kept hanging up also same when contacting the shop. Happy to take money but not actually deliver the food Avoid!

My go-to place every time I want to eat in town. The food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the portion sizes are enough to satisfy the hunger but not enough to satisfy the cravings 😉 Highly addictive! Especially the sausages ❤️

A great place to have a quality gyros. They cater for various requests. Here we had a sharing meal, pork gyros without carbs ( no flatbread and chips) and tzatziky sauce. Food was delicious and service always great. Very clean and welcoming.
