Rosa's Thai Cardiff in Cardiff

Came here Friday for lunch. Nice cosy little restaurant. We ordered a mixed starter platter between us. I had chicken with rice in some sort of Soy and garlic. Was very nice and very fresh. My partner had pad kra prow. Bith meals were very nice and packed with flavour. We also had a side of papaya salad. Very hot but very nice. For dessert I had the banana fritter served with coconut ice cream and my partner had the chocolate brownie. Altogether came to £75. We asked do they accept blue light card to which they said yes but then came back to the table and said they couldn't accept it because two items on our order were from the day/lunch menu. I found that a little bit odd as other places just give you the discount off the rest of the order. Apart from that everything was great.

Very delicious pad Thai, flat noodles and red Thai curry! Highly recommend. Service pretty quick and really hot when arrived through just eat. Bonus 40% off too!!

Really nice restaurant every time I went there the food was delicious. Pad Thai is very tasty and really affordable. Friendly servers!

Overall the flavours are quite nice and authentic, but milder than I would hope from a restaurant. If you enjoy spicy food, you will be disappointed! They were advertising "Thai spicy" dishes and despite ordering one I could detect basically no spice in the dish. I know they're appealing to the British palette but don't tell me it's thai spicy if it's actually just british spicy.

Excellent service, excellent staff, outstanding food. Went for a meal 7:30pm Saturday 4th January and all the staff in deserve a tip OMG IT WAS AMAZING. Flavourful broth, lovely cocktails, gorgeous starters, the price is ON POINT I couldn't recommend anywhere more.

Rosas Thai is a great place to get affordable Thai food. We enjoyed the mains a lot but didn’t love the desserts, especially the sauce with the brownie was not the one for us but this May just be personal taste. The service was quite slow considering it wasn’t overly busy but the staff were very friendly. On our first visit we sat downstairs but I much preferred the atmosphere when we were sat upstairs.

The atmosphere and service were great. However, the Pad Thai was overly sweet and it had some chicken although I ordered the tofu one. I feel cheated as a customer because the dish was advertised as the signature dish which has been perfected for years. Perfected by adding tones of sugar to adapt it to the taste of the British market? This is disingenuous marketing. My husband ordered the same dish with chicken instead of tofu and shares my thoughts. Perhaps other dishes are better nonetheless.

Incredible food! Some of the best Thai I have ever had. We got the massaman beef curry, chicken pad thai, summer rolls, and prawn doughnuts. They were all incredible and very filling, I wish we could have gotten more but I was so stuffed. Sammie was our server and she was great 😊

The food was lovely and not for the first time, the only issue was that it was awfully slow. The food and drinks seemed to take an age to arrive for a party of 3. It was new years day and quiet which is understandable after Christmas, but then automatically getting charged 12.5% service charge on the bill seems hard to comprehend.

Fantastic Thai food. I had the summer rolls and chicken clear broth. Very good. Staff are ok but always very busy so not much time for pleasantries.

Overpriced for poor quality food. Chicken was dire! Dark and fatty. Oh and watch out for the cheeky service charge they add onto your bill!

£50 for 2 people. Red Thai curry was worth around £5. Ordered chicken , it was nothing like chicken. Red Thai curry some sauce few lumps of what ever it was and some spring onions. Probably the worst Thai food iv had. Thank you for your reply. But unfortunately I will not be coming back. You charged me £50 for food that was not up to standard.

After a really stressful time looking around Cardiff for Gluten Free food, we checked out Rosa's. The staff member went above and beyond for us to ensure the meal was suitable for someone who suffers celliac disease. Recommended for a tasty meal and people who actually care about their customers.

Decided to try a new place for lunch and wasn't disappointed!! Walked in and was greeted by Emmanuel who was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. Lovely calm and inviting atmosphere, varied menu choice and reasonable prices. I had the prawn summer rolls and sweetcorn fritters to start and the chicken panang curry with coconut rice and a roti bread which was all full of flavour, was very fresh, hot and super tasty. Very glad to have stumbled across this gem in Cardiff City Centre, I will be back from sure, thank you very much!! 🙂

I stupidly booked my table for the wrong date so when I turned up in the busy Xmas season I would have expected them to turn us away, but Hoi was fantastic, he squeezed us in and looked after us for our visit. The food was lovely, the service was great!.

One Star for food. (mainly as hubby's meal was OK) I had a (chicken) Tom Ka noodle soup on Monday. The only edible things were the half dozen pieces of chicken, and a few pieces of tomato and mushroom. The liquid however was full of sharp & hard un-edible pieces of chopped lemongrass stalk. It made eating it a totally horrendous experience, having to constantly pick them out of my mouth if I wanted to savour the soup base. Just gave up and left it. So £12.50 was a full on waste of money. One Star for Service. The waiter would not look at or acknowledge us after I deducted a 10% service charge they automatically slip onto the bill. Watch out for that !!... One Star for Atmosphere...there was none, unless you count watching the kitchen staff doing their thing !

After agonising for ages about where to go for dinner whilst in Cardiff I found Rosa's website and decided to book. There's a great range of items on the menu and what attracted me was the variety available for vegans and vegetarians. Booking was easy and we were met with a warm welcome. Staff were attentive and helpful. We were very hungry so ordered some tempura okra between us to start and they were so light and tasty - the best okra I have had. We ordered a veggie Penang curry and veggie cashew stir fry and they were both delicious, fresh, full of flavour and texture and just the right amount. To accompany them we opted for jasmine rice, which was perfectly cooked and a roti which was light and tasty. We were served by Laura, who was the perfect mix of friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. I didn't get the name of the person who welcomed us and also served us but they were also excellent. We definitely chose the right place to eat, thanks for a great experience.

The spicy fried noodles reminds me the time I tried my last favourite Thai restaurant and they moved away, so Rosa Thai is my favourite Thai food now, really traditional dishes with fresh spices I am glad I found this place
