A wonderful warm welcome awaits at Rosa's Thai. The service and attention to detail by Hoi was exceptional and service is always a key measure for me. The menu is inspired with gorgeous flavour combinations and all allergies are carefully considered. The pineapple kaffir leaf cocktail was sublime as were the veg crystal wraps. We will definitely be back and again a special thank you to Hou for making it all so lovely.

Authentic flavorful thai food smack in the center of cardiff. Friendly staff, amazing atmosphere and to top that off such tasty food. I usually go for the Phad thai shrimp, never fails to fill me up and always tastes like perfection.

The decor is exquisite, filled with the rich essence of Thailand, making one feel as though they have been transported to the distant lands of Southeast Asia. The staff named Sammie is warm and friendly, patiently answering every question we had and offering excellent recommendations for dishes to try.

The crispy chicken rice was delicious, and good to know they use halal chicken for most dishes (except crispy chicken). Served by Hoi and the service was good.

I recently visited Rosa's Thai in Cardiff for the second time, hoping for another delightful culinary experience. However, despite the delicious food, the overall experience was tarnished by the staff's behavior. On this occasion, a young female staff member displayed shocking levels of impatience and rudeness towards my party. What was most distressing was the stark contrast in her treatment between us, a minority group, and a white couple who arrived after us. While she greeted and served the white couple warmly, her demeanor towards us was cold and scornful. This clear discrepancy in treatment left me deeply unsettled and convinced that racism was at play. Furthermore, throughout our meal, the staff failed to check in with us to see if everything was satisfactory or provide any additional service beyond simply bringing the food to our table. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Rosa's Thai to fellow minorities, especially those of Asian descent, based on my experience. It is my hope that by sharing this review, the restaurant will take steps to rectify these issues and create a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Disappointing! Really expensive for what it was - £112.0O for 4 adults. 2 portions Spring Rolls, 2 Massaman Curry, 2 Thai Chicken Curry, 4 cans soft drinks! Massaman beef curry a bit disappointing - too sweet and watery, small portion. Plenty of cashew nuts, though! Maybe the other dishes might have been nicer. But I won't know, because I won't be returning! Taking the p*** with the service charge! (Spring rolls were nice, though!)

First time visiting here but this place will be my new go to Thai restaurant. Can’t say anything more than amazing. The staff are great, the food is incredible and authentic and the atmosphere is lovely. 100% recommend to anyone who appreciates Thai food

The service was very fast-- we had our food in under 10 minutes from when we walked in the door. The food was delicious and had great portions for the price. Overall VERY pleased with Sammie and everyone else.

Great Thai restaurant in the centre of Cardiff. I visited on a Wednesday evening - it had a really good atmosphere. It was busy, but I didn't have to wait for a table. I would recommend the Thai fish cakes and the pad see ew noodles. Really friendly staff too - great service.

First time trying and we were not disappointed! Food was tasty. Hoi our server was attentive and friendly, with lots of food knowledge. The curry & calamari were our favourites! The Hot brownie with coconut ice cream was incredible. We paid just over £70 incl service charge for two starts, two mains, 4 drinks all together and 1 dessert to share. Thanks Rosa’s Thai Cardiff!

Rosa's Thai is absolutely brilliant. The food was wonderful and the service was amazing too. We were served by Hoi and he was super helpful, kind and sweet. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here.

Waitress was typical of service provided in Asia, inattentive and indifferent. Did not ask if food ok, did not ask if wanted more drinks or desert. Food tasted good but very small portions sizes - price point was expensive for a curry, which had very little meat and loads of skin on the duck.

Such a lovely late lunch here. Took advantage of the express lunch deal which was super value, but didn't know which curry we'd like, so the area manager (Mars) let us sample each sauce! Amazing service! And the food was completely delicious 😋 10/10 would recommend.

Somewhat friendly and prompt service, but only on first contact. Good green curry with tofu. Service charge added without asking or any clear indication. A footnote on the bill is just taking liberties. 1* deduction for the portion size. Google indicated prices are incorrect. Definitely overpriced for what you get. 'Atmosphere' below average with persistent ventilation noise and too loud music. Could be enjoyable, but really wasn't.

Ok Thai food in City Centre. Food was nice, good veggie options all reasonably priced. Service needed improvement.

Had a can of Rosa's Thai PA. £5.50 for a 330ml can. No wonder the size wasnt mentioned on the menu. Opened it and 1/2 went over the table. Nearly the same with its replacement but saved most. Prawn Tom Yum soup had large chunks of inedible lemongrass & galangal, soup itself had little flavour. Felt like the ingredients need chopping smaller and simmering longer. Chicken red curry lacked punch of chilli. It had green chilli in a red curry? Portion of rice was tiny. Overall very average. The best Thai places are small family run ones, not a franchise like this one appears to be. 3rd place in Cardiff over the weekend where they took away my plate before I had finished chewing the last mouthfull of food. Very odd.

First visit to Rosa’s Thai this Thursday lunch and I was not disappointed! Absolutely delicious food and such friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble, especially with all the questions I had as a fussy eater!! Amira & Simona couldn’t do enough to help. A really lovely atmosphere and good value for money. Great little place for Thai food. You could argue that it's a bit on the pricey side and the plate side isn't as big as one had hoped but with that negative thing out of the way I shall be returning. The tom kha soup while spicy had great flavour, we ordered with mushrooms but they were a bit chewy so maybe have it with chicken. We also ordered a duck curry which tasted great but at £16 a bit pricey, so Maybe go with one of the other curries which is cheaper. The bubble tea was tasty . Finally my partner had the lemongrass tea which had a great sent and taste but was only really strong enough after we had finished so it Def needs a bew.

Had a lovely lunch at Rosa's Thai Cardiff. Looked after by our very attentive and friendly server, Alfie. I ordered a Green Curry with King Prawns. The prawns were succulent and cooked to perfection and the curry was just the right level of spice. Thank you Alfie and the Team and Rosa's Thai Cardiff. Delicious!

Had the most amazing meal. Green Thai curry for myself which blew my mind. In my top 10 of 40 years of eating. Sadly my daughter spent the night vomiting her meal up. A forced 15% service charge was harsh and I wouldnt have paid if I'd known she would be ill after it and sadly yet another cashless place. Wont be returning.

First visit and certainly not the last to Rosa’s. Quite a small restaurant based on two floors, excellent service from Hoi who took extra care with us and one of my friends who has a nut allergy. He was really helpful and a pleasure!
