Food was amazing, but service not so much. 1hour 5mins between receiving starter to receiving main order. Loved the food which was amazing, but will not go back as service was deplorable

Great food, really helpful waitress. It was nicely busy when we visited on Tuesday evening, really nice to see that these days, a testament to the food. Bill was exactly as we expected with no hidden extras! We had a really nice evening.

Lovely place highly recommended, staff ate amazing, food is amazing and get loads, me and 7 lads went had a sharing platter for 2 and 2 of us struggled, had a box to go couldn't leave it there flavours were amazing and we tried a few new things, awesome night thank you all

Had a lovely meal at Greek Village. Gluten and dairy free options available, not on menu but staff very happy to accommodate. Ordered the chicken skewers. Mine came with extra salad to accommodate the lack of bread was delicious. Will be back.

Ordered, 3 gyros, chicken, pork and halloumi for takeaway. Got home and had 2 pork gyros and one halloumi, where the halloumi had pieces of chicken in it, for my vegetarian girlfriend ! Pork was old and hard shavings not fresh, along with no chicken gyros at all. Won’t be coming back here.

Order a collection for 8.15 at 7.15. When I arrived to collect at 8.15 they were looking for the order and it wasn't ready for collection. They said will be ready in 5 minutes. I eventually received my order at 8.45. I had no apology at all. I had from there many times and I thought the quality and quantity wasn't as good as I've previously received.

Unbelievable! Truly amazing food, atmosphere and service! The pictures speak for themselves - the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten, the platters were fantastic value for money and such a comfortable environment that made me feel like I was on holiday! Thank you Greek Village! We enjoyed all the leftovers today too! Can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous food, fast delivery, HUGE portion and food arrived piping hot! Can’t go wrong. We order from here regularly and we never have any problems. 10000/10 would definitely recommend!

Can get very busy in the evenings due to people ordering food online. The platter for 2 can actually feed 3.

The food was delicious and plenty. The prices are reasonable too

Wraps are disproportionate and packed awfully. Not enough meat, everything keeps falling appart as youre trying to eat it. Not enough value for the money spent. You get 2-3x amount of bread ratio to your meat in the wraps. I coudnt even call them wraps just a round piece of pita folded once? How is that a wrap? A doner taco maybe? Gyros pita taco? Its definitely not a wrap One thing is right - the taste.

** AN HONEST REVIEW ** The food was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! The service, however, needs a slight improvement. We booked our table for 18:00, I walked in and was expecting to be greeted by someone. I stood in the reception area for a few minutes and the staff (around 4 of them) just looked at me. I approached the till / cooking area and once again, the staff just looked at me and didn't speak to me. I mentioned I had a table booked and the man I spoke to just looked like a deer in headlights, tapped someone else, who then went into the back area and got someone else to help me. The restaurant and toilet area are all very clean! Slightly slippery floor at first, so be careful! but otherwise very clean. We ordered, food came, ate - it was all absolutely incredible! It was so tasty, beautifully cooked and such a good portion. However, no one came over to ask if the food was okay, we needed more drinks and no one was around, the restaurant wasn't busy at all and we had to get up to ask for the bill. Everything was great but these little refinements need addressing. It's the second time I''ve been here in 3 weeks and I will definitely be going again, highly recommended......for the food.

2 hours late in delivery & despite calling the shop I was unable to cancel my order. I can only say the reviews for this place have been paid for. The delivery guy said they had so many cancelled orders, they are throwing food out!

Lamb Gyro. Wrap contained a few pieces of foul tasting lamb fat. Only able to eat the chips. £8.50 for a handful of chips in a wrap. Not happy!

Ordered through deliveroo. Came on time but was missing the dessert which we had ordered. Food was pretty average, not very herby/zingy, which you would expect from a relatively expensive Greek place. There are better and cheaper greek eateries in North Cardiff to order from

First time trying the greek village, very nice food and the plates are huge , excellent value for money. Had the chicken gyros with fries and salad, was so tasty and filling , deffinetly worth a visit 👍

Nice greek place with good quality ingredients. I usually order hummus as I find this the best dish to assess a place's cooking skills, and it was really good. Staff was friendly and they made the order fast (waiting time 15 minutes for 2 people). Only 4 stars because the pita bread they put to dip in with the hummus was burned on one side.

This place is fantastic. The staff are so friendly, always smiling. The food is immense. We ordered the platter for 2 and it was huge. The food was delicious and we took half of it in a box as we couldn't finish it.

Had a lovely time at Greek Village, was looking forward to visit after a few recommendations friends. The restaurant was very busy at the time of arrival, but still managed to get a table right away. Service was good and we ordered the village platter. All I can say is wow, very impressive and great value. Food was fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly. Recommended and will visit again to try the family platter 😉

Went sat with my misses...chips were under cooked..meat was fatty...wont be going again..if ya gne put prices up makesure it's quality food...gne backwards

Big group went tonight for a birthday. I'm vegan and the staff were very accommodating even going through the vegan options with me. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed thoroughly. Service was excellent our server was very attentive and super friendly.

Went here tonight was sat in window Same as others have stated delivery drivers surround you they were soaking wet stinking of fags not a good experience. Food was ok tiny pieces of chicken also no utensils to pick up food from platter only your own forkok if your family but no good if friends bit unhygienic to say the least. Don’t think we will visit anytime soon.

Love the fact you can sit and enjoy a little piece of Greece here. The dishes are traditional and so is the drinks. Mythos, Alpha beers. Greek wine. Gyros and platters. Shout out to Francesca who made our 1st visit great. Will be back again soon.

We ordered the platter for two lovely food but the staff were not very welcoming in fact the waitress was very miserable it was an effort to take our order

Usually fairly good food. However, went for a special takeaway for a celebration, specifically asked for no pork in the gyros, but that wasn't done. They were completely unapologetic "people make mistakes" was all I got. After pressing they offered 10% off next order, I declined, because I wont go there again. The average kebab shop food isn't worth the risk of the poor service and disproportionate price.

This place is no more than a kebab shop with extra seats if you want to eat your takeaway inside. I booked this place for my wife's birthday and 1st they tried to seat us where all the delivery people come to collect orders. This would have meant drivers standing over us as we ate. The meal arrived and we asked for the starter before the main. The starter arrived 30 secs before the main giving us no time to eat it and we ended up wasting the starter as the main would have gone cold. The main arrived literally straight after the starter despite the waitress asking us when we wanted it. The food was only ok, nothing more than a takeaway kebab sitting at a cheap table in a busy takeaway kebab shop. This certainly wasn't a restaurant experience and definitely not worth the money we paid for our meal. Don't come here if you dont want eat inside at a kebab shop. That's all this place is. Very disappointed!

Just finished my takeaway with my partner (midweek nothing in the fridge and no energy to cook kind of night). It’s the second time we’ve ordered and both times we’ve enjoyed. A good amount of food (we both had the £6 gyros - think they’re enough with a side and chips) and all came still warm. Chips were great and the cheese bites and feta sauce are a must! Good to have a local that seems reliable! Marked as a 4 star as I do think the starters/sides are a little expensive but can understand why! Will be ordering again:)

This has to be the best Greek food that my family have ever tried! We didn’t have to wait long for our food, it was piping hot and was delicious. The flavours of the food are amazing and the portion size are very generous. All the staff are very friendly and I will look forward to eating here again. I highly recommend this place. Thank you all for such lovely food.

Made the mistake of thinking it was another Greek place in Cardiff. Horrendous, would never return, No better than your local kebab shop. Table next to us left a full platter on the table and walked out it was that bad.

Food was lovely nice and fresh... .as we walked in a meneber of staff was smoking a cigarette outside he came back in went straight back to serving food did not wash his hands . We were then shown our seats by a very unhappy lady she obviously did not want to be there no customer service whatsoever. The place looks lovely but dissapointed with the whole experience . Take away maybe next time .

Such a shame that the wait for food was so long and that we had to ask for various things that were missing like my meal and like cutlery! Food was nice but not worth the stress when you have kids. Might do Takeaway in future but won’t be return info to sit in.

Food was lovely had the platter for two and was more than enough for myself and my wife and the baklava for dessert was really nice. Its definitely one of the more reasonably priced greek restaurants in cardiff highly recommend

I enjoyed it. Very informal, great food. Altogether a nice experience.

Tried for the first (and last) time tonight. Lots of angry takeaway customers, including us. Told 30 mins for food, came back, not even started cooking. Told ‘10 mins’, as was everyone else waiting, half an hour later, still waiting. Felt sorry for staff and dine-in customers surrounded by increasingly frustrated queues of customers. If you can’t satisfy orders, don’t take them. If you mean an hour, don’t say 30 mins.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good selection on menu. It was a really busy night (rugby on) so restaurant was full.The restaurant was slightly smokey because of the grill (observation not a complaint). Order service was quick, food to table took an hour but the restaurant was really busy and we were a party of 9. Sharing platter was a good size, slightly salty but I still enjoyed. Overall a good night & we will definitely return. I would definitely recommend 👌

Good food a bit higher prices I think 🤔.

We walked in last minute and were accommodated with a table in the front window. This was perfect until all the delivery drivers came in and stood all around us. The decor was vibrant and you could've thought you were in Greece. There wasn't the same Greek friendly atmosphere as you get in other Greek restaurants, but there were no negatives. The food was fantastic though and the service excellent. We had a platter for two and really enjoyed it. The portions were huge. It cost £22 and was well worth every penny. Can't wait to go back.

Only down side felt like eating in a busy waiting room.. With just eat drivers and other people collecting food Food though was wonderful and plentiful could not could not finnsh it all Def need to return work a bigger appetite

Lamb was fattie 20% of the pitta was hard the chips not bad salad standard takeaway salad. Really struggling to see the £12.90 in that box really sad was expecting real quality for the prices. Deco is the nicest part of this place

Absolutely disappointed we ordered a take away, the meals were overpriced for what we received, the pitta bread was stale, the meat was gristly and definitely not value for money, would not recommend, will not be going there again.

Very disappointed. These meals cost £12.90 each tonight. Very over priced. Avoid unless you like wasting money.

Had a takeaway last week for my father's birthday food was really good. Went again today with my wife and son lovely decor and very welcoming staff food was fantastic thank you definitely recommend

We ordered a platter for 4. There was so much meat and they cooked it to perfection! My only constructive criticism would be that I didn't think there was enough salad included for 4 people and I would've liked more variety on the sauces included. Other than that, it was lush and we will definitely have it again!

Best gyros in Cardiff, as good as any Greece and has mythos 🍺 going back soon to try the sharing platter, good quality food and reasonable price.
