I think it's very overpriced, £5 for a bacon ciabatta roll which only had 2 slices of bacon was extremely disappointing

Wrong order arrived. Sent back. Replacement was not as described on the menu. Tasteless tepid Tesco bread not worth £5.10 a serving. Wanted to send that back too but my wife was embarrassed. Much better places nearby.

Over an hour for scrambled egg. Had to just leave without our food. Weren’t the only ones to just leave. Wasn’t very busy. In fact, when our order was “next”, we waited an extra half an hour before we left

Just had a coffee here, but it was well made and of a good standard - much better than any chain cappuccino. Staff were friendly and very helpful to other customers I saw come in during my visit (helping with buggies etc)

We enjoyed sitting at the outside tables, with the dog. Had cappuccinos and fruit scones. Scones were large, freshly baked and served with homemade raspberry jam. Service was quick and pleasant.

Takeaway is terrible, inconsistant service, sometimes rude. The quality of the food is going down hill while prices go up.

I used to love this place but today’s breakfast was so disappointing. It took over half an hour to even order our food. Felt like the staff had forgotten us, so I went to check on our food 45 minutes after ordering. They brought out our scrambled egg at this point. The food was cold. As we had been waiting for over an hour for our food and were starving we did eat it but it wasn't enjoyable. Coffees were mixed. My partner had an americano which was cold. I had a couple of oat cappuccinos and they were hot. The cafe seemed really really understaffed and it was busy this morning. So much so that we had to sit and watch numerous folk come in after us and be served before us. The two members of staff that were serving were very polite and clearly trying their best but it was far too busy for two folk to manage. On paying I was asked how my food was. I explained that the food was cold and the staff member did apologise which was a nice gesture however, does not make up for the overpriced disappointing and cold breakfast. I have previously visited this cafe on numerous occasions and while it is pricey I never minded as the food and service is usually of a very high standard. However, today was £26 wasted.

Coffee good. Food dreadful and overpriced. Ordered a chorizo and mushroom toasty for £8. Poor, poor toasty. Individual toasty. Small. No side salad or crisps ( I would expect this from an £8 toasty at least. Supermarket thin sliced chorizo. Small amount of tasteless cheese. 1 bit of mushroom advertised as garlic mushroom. I would expect it the bread to be fried or grilled but just some toasted bread. 1/10.

Staff kindly squeezed us in at a busy time and took our coffee orders whilst we were waiting for our table. Dog friendly cafe, but can be busy, and they gave him a bowl of water. Husband and I both had eggs - his baked and mine scrambled with the pesto. Excellent except the sourdough was so thinly sliced that it was a bit overly crunchy. Our coffees were also really good - flat white and an americano. Husband had a mug of soup as well. I thought it was very well priced at around £20 for the two of us and the young staff were very helpful.

Used to go here regularly for breakfast. Today was very disappointing. “Artisan Ciabatta” for the scrambled egg roll used to be exactly that. Today it was a supermarket cheap substitute, and definitely not worth the money. If these difficult times mean products are made cheaper, then the menu should reflect this.

When visiting Linlithgow Palace we found this charming place for a bit to eat for lunch before carrying on our journey. What a fantastic little cafe it is. Staff are just the most friendliest people and the chef well what can I say. He provided in house entertainment with his dancing to the music and the amusement of when he was chopping up onions. Such a lovely bunch of people. The food was lovely and all homemade. Couldn’t fault a thing. If I ever get the chance to visit Linlithgow again I will be sure to pop in.

Ordered "pancakes topped with Steins smoked bacon" - sounds like an educated chef. How far from this could it be? Bacon arrived undercooked and looking warmed up so I asked for it to be crisped up. The result being pre-cooked bacon where the fat had congealed and solidified around the outside. After taking one look I asked for it to be cooked freshly. Two minutes later two different slices of pre-cooked bacon was thrown on top of dehydrated pre-cooked and reheated pancakes. Impossible to cut bacon which resembled two worn down leather flip flops worn in the desert for a year was the result. Upon asking the 4th waitress that served our table I asked if the bacon had been reheated she answered "no" - so the bacon has just been cooked fresh? "No" - so it has been reheated. Anyway to cut a very long totally dissatisfying story short don't bother walking through the door. Cowboys pretending to be chefs and wouldn't look out of place in macdonalds preparing fast food. Rip-off

To start with I’d like to say this was my fav place to go in linlithgow , good atmosphere great staff and decent food and critically, great cakes. Sadly since being taken over by the bar next door they have gone slowly downhill on the food front whilst continuing to charge premium prices. I’ve just bought two sausage rolls , a cake and two coffees for £16 Sausage rolls were ok as was coffee but the cake was stale and tasteless and sadly this is not the first time this has happened. I can’t put it down to the staff as they are great but the management needs to pull their collective socks up here or people will simply stop going as we have an abundance of eateries in linlithgow. I’d like it to be my fav place again but there is much work to do.

2 friends & I stopped off here for brunch when out on a walk. The cafe itself is lovely, spotless & lots of room. I went up to order us 3 teas & 3 bacon toasties. I was asked if I wanted a side salad & crisps with the toasties. I said yes, assuming it was included in the £4.95 price. The toastie was tasty & had a few crisps & a handful of lettuce. But when I went to pay, was charged £2 extra per toastie! We all felt that this was over the top for what would normally be included anyway. The total bill was £27, which we felt was too much. Don't think we will be back 😏

Been to this cafe many times coffee excellent and staff lovely but I felt very uncomfortable today at the way some of the staff were spoken to by either a manager or the owner really not acceptable and for that reason alone I won't be back

This was my first visit to this café, I have always passed it and it's always busy, but you do get a table quick, staff are very friendly and are quick with service but you don't feel rushed. They have a brilliant choice on their menu. There are gluten-free, alternative dairy and vegan options. I had a gluten-free tuna toastie with salad, chips, and fresh orange drink, it was delicious. My partner had roast chicken toastie with salad, chips, and fresh mango drink, and again, delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks - milkshakes, ice cream drinks, hot chocolate, coffees, teas, and loads of syrups, along with juices.

We are returning for another game soon and the club have said we have to drop them a note when we are returning and they'll sort something out for us . will update at a later date Nice touch by Harburn golf club 👏
