The premises are being refurbished, and a sign says that it is soon to re-open under another name. Hopefully it'll be as good as Gracelands was! I don't know if it'll be the same people running it...

We regularly visit this cafe as a family, they have great food and a small area for the kids to play with toys/books. It’s just enough to keep the little ones occupied.

I visited this cafe with my baby today to meet another mum and baby for coffee. Unfortunately, I did not feel overly welcome when I was asked to leave my pushchair outside in the street. It is a fairly spacious place and was not very busy. There were plenty of free tables and chairs and spaces in which I could have put the pushchair out of the way of other customers and staff. The request therefore took me by surprise, and it was not ideal as my baby was just drifting off, and I had been looking forward to enjoying my coffee hands free. In the end, we sat on the outdoor terrace at the back, it was slightly chilly but at least I could keep the pushchair with me. I understand the need for pushchairs to be folded at busier times, but this was not one. My latte was nice, but, on this occasion, I would not describe this as a baby friendly venue. Sadly, you made me feel unwelcome Gracelands.

I have been to gracelands a handful of times now as it is very close to some of my good friends flat in Kensal Green. Every time I come to Gracelands I Am more impressed with the food and customer service. All the food is prepared from fresh and is fantastic. All the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are accommodated and happy. Cannot recommend this cafe more nice friendly family atmosphere (even though we are usually 4-5 20 something hungover guys).PS the chocolate brownie I was recommended was fantastic.

I love this café which serves great coffee, nice cakes and beautiful (if pricey) hot food however there are usually many screaming kids here which spoils it for me. Today I came in about 1.30pm and what a change - adults!!! No prams blocking aisles, no little people running around uncontrolled - just lots of people chatting and enjoying their food and drink. Fabulous.

I live five minutes drive away from this place and never stepped in this place, and now I kick myself wondering why. It was a friend of mine who suggested this place and we went there for lunch. This place had a trendy feel to it with a great atmosphere, with media crowd with a children's play area within the restaurant, very family feel to it. I ordered homemade Jerk Chicken. Oh wow, this has to be one of best and flavoursome Jerk Chicken I have tasted. Highly recommend this cafe for lunch, it can get a little on a busy side though.

My friends live just down the road from here. Four of us woke up there this morning extremely hungover and they recommended it. Perfect place to go any morning, especially when the weather is good as there's a really nice outdoor seating area at the back. Anyway between us we ordered eggs benedict, bacon, toast, salmon and scrambled eggs etc, and a few Bloody Mary's. Hair of the dog. Anyway the food was great, absolutely perfect. The staff were all so nice and friendly, the whole place had such a great vibe to it. Perfect place for breakfast/brunch, would definitely recommend.I know the picture I added looks like something from Google Image but I promise it's legit haha, my friend just edited it to make it look really good

We regularly come to London for the day to visit family. Whenever we pick our three year old grandson up from nursery, Gracelands is on the way home. What a treat, taking the little fellow in for a babyccino (didn't happen in my day!) while we have a cup of tea, and hear all about his day. Great food, lovely friendly staff, and a play corner for kids with toys and books. If you want adult peace and quiet, this may not be the place for you.If you want to bring kids to a place where you and they are welcome, and have a great drink and snack where the kids are safe, this is the place. In adjacent rooms, all sorts of complementary therapies are available, and for the kids, baby yoga (hugely enjoyed by both of our grandsons).

I have been in here twice recently, once with loads of kids being allowed to run riot and another time with quiet children. What a difference!! The drinks and food here are always very good if a little pricey but the atmosphere can either be calm or manic and I love peace and quiet when I am eating so have not had a full meal here for some time.

I visited the cafe for the first time and had intended to stay and have a cup of coffee with a cake, and then to order a take-away dinner box. I changed my mind within seconds due to the noise/activity level and the fact that, despite there being a few spare seats, families had spread themselves out, making it quite awkward to plonk myself in between guarded territory where there were obviously spare seats.I love family friendly cafes and make a point of supporting local, family-run businesses with my own family, however the noise level and general chaos, with staff carrying plates of food or drinks, meandering between high-pitch-voiced moving children, ignited a sudden headache. I changed my mind about staying.I ordered a salad and quiche as a take-away and made a hasty exit. The lady who served me was extremely pleasant and patient with me, while I was adjusting to the atmosphere and dithering about whether to have a coffee or not. She very clearly explained the salad and food options and took payment swiftly as I was keen to grab my food and run.I opened my take-away box when I arrived home and was disappointed to see that one of the three side-salads that I had ordered was missing. I got a healthy portion of my other two choices, however I was looking forward to the spinach salad but didn't get any. The quiche was fabulous. Excellent pastry and a generous and tasty filling. Compliments to the chef for that! However my salad was limp and overdressed with too much soy sauce (or something similar) which took the freshness away. Will I return? Probably but I won't make another special trip. If I do return, it would likely be midweek if I am in the area at a time when I think it is a little less chaotic, however I think I will give it a wide berth at the weekends - despite the fabulous quiche!

The other reviews are correct that there are kids. It's a kid friendly place with a little playarea for kids. During the weekend there are plenty of people with no kids. I have coming here for 8 years and never seen an issue. The food is delicious. Place to sit outside. Yes it's west London prices but that's to be expected. Highly recommend the jerk chicken. I came in here yesterday for a drink and was reminded why despite the delicious food I don't come here much. I sat down and observed a child being aloud to climb all over the sofa and then run to the door and hold it open allowing freezing air tocome in whilst the mother was ignoring this behaviour. Then a group of mums and a dad came in and re-arranged two large tables into one for a party of kids. A scooter was left in the middle of the floor (my Dad who I was with is partially sighted) and kids were allowed to run around whilst staff were trying to carry hot drinks. Eventually the noise was so loud we left. This is such a nice cafe with great quality food but it is spoilt by the way it is treated by some of the customers.

This is yummy mummy paradise. A constant grip is the coffee is always too strong (note: I keep going back!) and the food is expensive for what you get. Having said that the food quality is good. If you want to do yoga with you baby this is the place for you.

I have been coming here on occasion for some years and have enjoyed the excellent (if quite pricey) homemade salads and hot food. These are beautifully prepared interesting dishes made with fresh high quality ingredients. The cakes and coffee are quality too. The only issue with this place is the large number of young children who run riot here on many occasions. There are signs asking parents to watch the children but this place can still resemble a playgroup as it did today with prams blocking the aisles being removed by the proprietors. I considered lunch after my morning coffee but it was so noisy that my Father and I left and went to the quieter if not quite so gourmet Arthur's Cafe in Kensal Rise.

Recommended by several locals, we tried Gracelands for lunch. The advertised French onion soup (on a board outside) was "off" so we had the cauliflower and fennel soup. No hint of fennel and a bland thin texture. The "large mixed salad" was, I think, the worst I have ever had, anywhere. Raw French beans, mixed, in a mess, with dubious coleslaw, some spicy sweet potato and beans do not make a salad, especially with large lumps of stale and oily bread mixed in. Really unpleasant. We sat outside, at the back, with a unobstructed view of the washing-up and storage area, which did not add to our enjoyment. It seems popular with families with young children.

Popped in here this weekend as the pub we had been aiming for didn't open 'til 12pm. So pleased we did, Gracelands is a great find. Very spacious and stylish, there are nice old scrubbed pine tables with plenty of space between them (rare in London) so you don't feel at all cramped. It's very family-friendly. There's a little play corner for kids with sofas, books and toys, and the loo has a baby changing table. Colourful plastic cutlery, cups and plates are also provided. The menu was small but very good; we tried the pulled pork, the burger and the calamari. All delicious and colourful with plenty of really fresh salads. The children had scampi, fish fingers, little chips and beans and they wolfed the lot. Oh and the coffee was excellent, a really great flavour served in nice colourful china. Staff friendly, quick and obviously really want you to have a great meal. They even washed up our girls' bibs for us. My mother in law lived round the corner for 38 years and has just moved away, such a shame we hadn't found this earlier as would have been a regular family weekend meal.

The quiche and selection of delicious salads is my favourite. The chef is obviously passionate about his food as he changes the menu regularly and always has interesting options like jerk chicken along with your more regular cafe food. It's very popular with young families and Mums meeting up over coffee and the buzz adds to the general atmosphere.
