On 08/09/19 we booked & paid a £500 deposit for our dream wedding here on 22/05/19 - the credit card receipt showed payment was taken by a company called "Endeavour Strategic Limited". Communication was poor at all stages. We finally arranged to meet a wedding co-ordinator on 07/02 -arrived to find the hotel & grounds desolate & shutters down - no-one arrived for the meeting or even phoned to apologise for non-attendance after we had taken an afternoon off work & travelled 45 minutes to be there. We had been told hotel was reopening 18th Jan. This concerned me & I discovered via Companies House the company (ESL) is insolvent & had been liquidated. I was unable to get any explanation & was told it was due to a change of managing company - but not who the new managing company is. The directors of ESL are also directors of Gracehill House Ltd and Dark Hedges Limited - see Companies House for the financials of these companies. I was then informed by Causeway Coast council that the premises is no longer a licensed venue to hold marriage ceremonies (despite Hedges website saying it is). I asked for assurances around the financials-the only reply I would get was that they would "email the owner" & ask them to call me. I waited over a week & no call, was just told that they had asked them to ring me. I am not handing any more money over to a company that has treated us so badly & been so unprofessional. If you have paid by credit card you can reclaim deposit under Section 75 of CCA.

During my time in NI, I wanted to do the 'Journey of Doors' to see all of the intricately carved Game of Thrones doors. Gracehill House is the home to door #7. The door is actually inside the Golf Club restaurant and bar area behind Gracehill House. There is free parking next door at The Hedges hotel and the Dark Hedges is about a 5 minute walk so worth a visit to the 'Kings Road' while you're here. If you are "door hunting", make sure you check the opening hours as the door is inside the restaurant and you won't be able to see it when it's closed.

Nous y avons pris un thé avec un gâteau à 17H00 après avoir visité les Dark Edges. Excellent accueil et serveur très sympathique. Ambiance très décontractée (c'est le club house du golf). Nous y avons passé un très bon moment.

My wife and I had the most amazing dining experience here. We still tell our friends about it. My wife choose the chilli chicken to begin with and I the scallops with were served with the best risotto I’ve ever eaten. For mains I went for the lamb and opted for the sea bream. Each element of both dishes had been cooked to perfection. We both decided on sticky toffee pudding for dessert which again was perfect. Best 3 courses we have ever had. We found out our chef for the evening was Chris. Thankyou Chef

Newly opened next to the dark hedges. Grace hill House is next door and I got a tour. I want to live here !!! Smart and sharp style cafe .bright and cosy too. Food is really nice and reasonably priced . Pleasent staff and the seating outside is great on a sunny day. Plenty of teas and coffees to choose from. .

A terrific lunch with a good and friendly service. The food was excellent and the plates beautifully decorated. The prices were fair. A great option in the area.

As per other comments needs some better signage. However once inside the venue is fantastic. Newly decorated and very exquisite we had an amazing meal at a very reasonable price. Ribs and wings were best I ever had and the chocolate brownie. Well no more needs said. Such a hidden gem. Well worth a visit and not just for the GOT door.

Perhaps like others, the only reason for going to Gracehill House was to find the Games of Thrones door having visited the Dark Hedges. We went into the wrong building first as we thought the club house would just be for members but we were guided to the right place. The GoT door is stunning and it greets you as soon as you walk in. The guy working there (really friendly!) did say that many people just pop in to look at the door, take a photo and then leave but we thought we'd stay for lunch. The food was truly delicious and really filling. Great service and we didn't feel rushed to eat. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Ireland.

Restaurant is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and a little bit better signage from the car park would help. The server forgot to write down one of the starter orders even though it was repeated twice at the start and end of the order. It was modern and clean inside. Food was average and not amazing. Service was a little slow. When I went to pay the server again messed up making my bill £5 more than it should have been but got it corrected by another server.

Rumor has it that this little restaurant doesn't get too busy, but it has great potential. Situated very near the famous Dark Hedges ("The King's Road" for Game of Thrones fans) and on a golf course, this restaurant offers great food, drinks, and lovely views. Staff were very kind and friendly. One of the ten doors resides here as well making it a nice quick stop for Game of Thrones fans as well. Ample parking and free wifi are available. The drive from Belfast to the Gracehill House was gorgeous and easy (about an hour) and well worth it to see the countryside.

We called in here as a hungry family after travelling the north coast, seeing Carrick-a-rede, the Giant's causeway, the dark hedges and some of the other dark hedges doors, one of which is in Gracehill House. There is a lovely bistro restaurant there so we decided to stay for dinner. What a brilliant dinner it was too and great value. Could not fault it! Friendly staff who stamped our dark hedges doors passport too.

I wanted to go and see the dark hedges while we were traveling in our motorhhome. The hedges hotel wecomed us to stay in their car park and use their facilities, we were so pleased the way we were treated. We ate in the restaurant that night, the staff were warm and friendly and the meal was lovely, they even welcomed us to have breakfast the next morning. I would be back for another visit and will recommend it to all my friends.

Ate here this evening & it was absolutely delicious, from the scallops for starter to the blackberry cheesecake (served upside down in a wine glass) with the duck for main course in between! As an added bonus they have an offer on at the minute that you can have a starter, main course & dessert but only pay for the main!! The waiter/barman was very friendly & attentive, we will definitely be back again even if the special offer is not on!

Took my family here for a sunday meal (4 adults plus 2 children) and it was the worst place I have ever ate! I am by no means a fussy person but everything was terrible. There was only two tables of customers so there was no excuse for poor service. The girl serving didn't have a clue about the menu, kept saying 'hold on' and ran off each time to ask the manager who was standing at the entrance doing nothing. Hot plates were served over the top of the babys head which was dangerous. The bread with the soup was definitely stale. There also was peppercorn sauce on the menu, ours came with gravy and when we asked could we get peppercorn instead...a firm no was giving. It was not a big thing to ask for.

Had a fabulous meal with family. Customer service, friendliness & greeting from staff is one of the best I have experienced. Would highly recommend this restaurant for quality of food, presentation & attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. It was icy outside & a member of staff went out to check how slippy it was before we left.

We spent the last few days in NI hunting down Game of Thrones doors and one is here. The food was terrific. For lunch I had a duck wrap... Oh my gosh! it could not have been better. Loaded with meat, and presented nicely. I have forgotten what my husband and friend had but I do remember they liked their food. The service was attentive but not intrusive. While the picture shows only my husband, the place did get most busy with a large family with kids and golfers and guys working on the haunted house.

An oasis of old world charm in unassuming Ballinamore outside Ballymoney. This rambling cottage is totally charming and huge. There were 10 of us, but it could easily have held 20. Brilliant drawing rooms to sit in (complete with grand piano for a sing along), a fantastic well equipped kitchen ( it used to have a restaurant) and plenty of loos (even if we couldn't find the lights for the one near the kitchen until the eve of our departure.) The wall panels in the front hall tell the fascinating history of the place. The garden is really a series of glades intersperced with thickets leading down to the old mill. What a marvel it would be for children in summertime! Heating seemed good though to be fair it wasn't that cold for early October outside. Our bathroom was good with a power shower which I imagine worked well if you were more familiar with power shower controls, which I wasn't. It was fun trying to work it out anyway. This place is well worth the money if you have a large group.
