This is by far the best place for breakfast in Greenwich and surrounding areas. I came here once for breakfast and am now a frequent returning customer. It’s the place me my mum and sis go when they come to visit, or when they come down to Greenwich on their own. It’s the place that when I tell my mum or sister that I’m going here they go ‘mmmm I fancy that now’. It does get busy, which really says for itself how good the food is. The owner and staff are lovely and attentive. Just go - it won’t disappoint

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful breakfast at The Green Café, and it was nothing short of fantastic! The fry-up was perfectly cooked, offering a wonderful balance of flavours and textures that truly hit the spot. The coffee was rich and aromatic, complementing the hearty breakfast beautifully. The friendly atmosphere at The Green Café made the experience even more enjoyable, with attentive staff who ensured everything was just right. One of our favourite places in Greenwich, the food and coffee are excellent, staff cheerful and efficient, always interesting specials on the board. We try to move beyond choosing the Big Breakfast ever visit but rarely succeed!

Great place if you like a chill cafe setting. My mediterranean breakfast was a great portion size, the hazelnut chocolate lobster was yummy, the cappuccino I ordered was not my favorite but decent given the price.

We had a wonderful time at this cafe! Everything was good, the warm atmosphere and the adorable waitresses I highly recommend!!

Great location, bustly atmosphere, food was great spot on full english plate could have been slightly bigger. Coffee was great but would have liked some milk as standard was not asked. Freindly staff would come back again. Dogs well provisioned for if you have one. Cool drinks options CBD, mushrooms which is a nice idea.

This place is always full, so today I went in to see why. First thing to note is that this a breakfast/ lunch cafe, in the morning they serve English breakfast and egg type dishes. I ordered Mexican eggs and shortly after an egg type dish appeared, which I started eating. Two mins later my server came up telling me that it's not mine, I had received an omelette. meant for someone else instead. I decided to stick with it, as it seemed pointless to then send it back Mistakes happen and actually what I ate was quite good. Also apparently the staff member was new. What was impressive was the way the cafe dealt with it - the manager came up unprompted, apologising and offering me a free pastry. As a result I will be back in future.

Ty he best breakfast I have had for a long time. Perfectly cooked and quality ingredients. Service was friendly and efficient. Tables are closeish together in a proper cafe way, so don't come if you want a quiet environment, it was busy and vibrant when we were here.

Honestly so bad, the worst and most expensive coffee in Greenwich! I’ve been a few times because I really hope it will improve, but it hasn’t at all. Coffee is at once too bitter and lacking flavour, I’ve sometimes had syrup in my drink when I’ve not asked for it. £4.50 for an iced americano, over £5 for an iced latte with oat milk! Busy and while the serving staff seem nice, the manager seems rude and hostile.

Really good cafe just off Greenwich High Street. Food and service were excellent with staff really friendly and the coffee was great too. Plenty of choice too including pastries which looked really good.

I've eaten here three times over the past six or seven years when I have visited Greenwich and have been impressed each time. Both the food and service cannot be faulted.

If you are coming to Greenwich, around Greenwich park or cutty sark area - this is place you should eat brunch. Absolutely amazing 🤩

Great little Café just across the street from the cinema & stones throw from the village square. All Day Breakfast - what a winner! Really friendly team, the café is well managed & efficiently run. We loved our food & the vibe inside. Looking forward to more yummy food soon!

The staff was absolutely lovely (specially with the 2 energetic dogs I brought in with me…!). They had plenty of vegan food options and even vegan dog ice cream. Coffee was a bit bitter to my taste but I guess it’s something more personal. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it!

The foods was very nice. Disappointed with 12.5% service charge. And charge £1.30 for a cup of hot water. No going back again.

I visit this earnest, charming cafe every time I’m in Greenwich. Everything is so fresh it makes you sad for having eaten meals elsewhere.

Went here last week, terrible customer service, staff is just toooo slow and unhelpful made us wait just to get a brownie. Coffee is not that great either, brownies are too dense and small for what the price is worth. If you don't wish customers to retrieve their own baked goods don't leave your paper bag, thong, and everything else outside as it is for self service. Overall experience 2/10.

Relaxed and friendly ambience. Great service and food was fantastic and generous in portion size. Coffee (and latte art) was great. Will come again! Bought some slices of their fresh cakes to bring home - very good too!

Nice fresh and tasty food with plenty of options, and friendly and accomodating staff. Sometimes the coffee is a little off, however.

Not a fan of the chai latte or the white hot chocolate—they were both really watery. It seems like they might use a powder for their hot chocolate. On the bright side, the croissant was pretty good!

The Green Café in Greenwich serves great breakfasts. We had the Avocado Smash, an open sandwich with plenty of avocado and an egg on top, and the Mediterranean breakfast, which was a real treat. It’s a super relaxed place with a great vibe and excellent service.

You'll be lucky to find a seat, packed out and buzzing and the homemade cakes are yummy!

Brilliant little cafe. Highly recommended for breakfast. We don't quite know what witchcraft they pulled with the bacon sandwich, but there was a taste of mint infused olive oil that took this sourdough grill to another level. The coffee was good, too, and the kids loved their pastries. It's worth noting that we came back for a second visit during our trip!

Had an all day breakfast with a friend. The cafe was full but still good atmosphere. Service friendly and quick. Obviously the reason why such an establishment is full is because of the food & service both complement each other.

As a German, I can say that this restaurant is very nice and for us it was one of the best breakfasts ever. We will miss it very much!

This is a quick Cafe to jump into and get fed. They take care of you nicely and the food is good. Lots of great cakes and sweets as well.

The cafe itself is beautifully presented, however nothing else really lived up to the expectations that this created. I was one of the only customers in early in the morning and I ordered a coffee which was ok, an orange juice that was warm and a veggie sausage sandwich that was on toasted bread which I didn’t ask for (probably check), when I sat down I looked for a plug to charge my phone, having walked from the Gherkin, but no it was clear that this wasn’t allowed as they had blocked the empty sockets, personally I think this is mean and had I known I would not have stopped here, there was also no napkins, salt and pepper or sauce on my table which is not great. If I was local I wouldn’t be back.

Delicious food, kind staff, quick service! We’ve enjoyed having breakfast here several times over the past 5 years and can’t stress enough how wonderful this place is. Highly recommend!

The Green Cafe has great selections for your breakfast and lunch, but it is quite overpriced as considering one near the university.

Great place for breakfast with a great atmosphere. Full English was excellent value and was clearly good quality. Food presented well and was really tasty. Would recommend whenever in Greenwich.

Me and my daughter had the Big cooked breakfast and she had Latte and I had milkshake and it was delicious, not swimming in grease and lovely sunny side up eggs with soft yolk so could dip my soft soda bread in it, bacon crisp and tasty, button mushrooms, hot on arrival too, lovely attentive staff and a real nice ambience with soft relaxed music playing low in the background, we arrived at 8am when opened and when we left was getting busy so very popular spot.

Visited today with my Mum for lunch, Despite being told by a pleasant young waiter we could choose our own table the lady owner after taking our order asked us to move to a small table by counter and cakes despite having a dog. We found this very rude & unsettling. Other staff member very apologetic when chose not to pay service charge due to this. I have visited the Green cafe several times in the past and have always found the lady owner cold and unwelcoming, unfortunately due to this I will not be supporting this local business again.

A great find in Greenwich. I had a lovely tea and cake on Saturday and returned Sunday morning for a delightful Full English breakfast.

Very friendly staff, the coffee is out of this world and though i did not have the food, my friend told me the brekfasts are to die for. The cafe is usually busy during the weekends but it is worth it. There are a couple of accesible tables outside, but otherwise there is no accessible entrance and no parking (but let's face it, where is there parking in London). 5/5 would recommend.

I used to be a frequent customer, but not anymore. I've noticed a steady decline, and it became obvious today when I asked for scrambled eggs with salmon. The dish came in a disorderly fashion, with fried eggs and poorly placed salmon. It's a shame.

Friendly and efficient staff, big menu, decently priced. The muffins with the eggs royale were super fluffy 😃 The only criticism I can make is that it would have been a nice touch to ask whether or not to add cinnamon to the chai latte - there was a lot of cinnamon 😅 Overall 10/10.

Quite literally one of the best breakfasts I have ever consumed! I had the big breakfast, no bacon, extra sausage, no tomato, no mushroom, extra fried egg. (Pictured) We were seated straight away, atmosphere is lovely, lots going on! Staff were friendly, food was hot and prepared quickly. Cappuccino was gorgeous! Cooks did a great job! Will DEFFO come here again! 1 breakfast, 3 coffees and a cake was just under £30! In Greenwich I view this as great value for such a delicious breakfast!

It can be busy and really loud. I would consider it local place but maybe it’s just popular for British people in general because of the menu and meals that are served as big portions and for good price. Sadly the coffee tastes just like in every other franchise cafe shop (meaning it’s good but if you are coffee lover you will be maybe not amused).

We are locals and we do not recommend this place. We’ve eaten here a few times, the service from the owner/manager has always been poor. She is very rude and unkind every time. The last time my wife and I went with my parents she was so rude and passive aggressive that we wondered if she had an issue with my wife being black. We were first in line and she asked my wife whether she jumped the queue and that she should go to the back of the line! Absolutely ridiculous. She also gave us cutlery for 3 instead of 4 which was strange as when we asked for more cutlery she was rude. Again making us wonder if it was a racism issue. Food is subpar and overpriced.

omg the brownies. please go get yourself a brownie from here they are unbelievable and my favourites for sure!!! every time we go greenwich we always grab a handmade salted caramel brownie from this cafe - delish!! 10000/10

I was charged twice for the meal wile visiting with my family, since then I've been trying to get in touch to get a refund but without success, I hope to we can make this work.

How I missed their delicious pesto eggs; well cooked, hot and quickly served. This place normally gets very crowded on the weekends so right timing is the key😉 it's great they open at 8am for us early birds.

Really nice grub, had the Mediterranean breakfast - the chorizo sausage deserves a mention. Staff were laid back and friendly just what you need at 8am.

Nice for lunch. 10 minute wait for table, not too bad .

Sadly I have to leave one star review for this place and for their management's attention. Food: cappuccino was bitter meaning they don't clean filters. By 10:30 am on Saturday they already been out of half sweet menu (they open at 8am, so how they plan food stock no idea, when weekend is usually most busiest for any cafe in town). Service: they brought food quicker than drinks and even then it took forever while place itself still had some seats available at the back. They didn't bring cutlery with food either , we had to ask. Atmosphere: back bar table was sticky so not cleaned properly. And not much space at the back to feel comfortable, meaning they had too many stalls for the space to fit all customers. Also back kitchen had opened doors so you can see everything and it doesn't create nice atmosphere to chill at the cafe. Little things but unfortunately ruins good experience...

Awful place. Not cheap. Poor quality food. You pay for the food including a service charge before you eat. Zero customer service. Very poor toilets - don't expect a toilet seat - that's a luxury according to GBK! Disinterested staff - they all look like they are students who could not care less. Their head office is not much better Avoid at all costs

Today we sat down, had a drink and ate cannoli for the first time. We preferred white chocolate and pistachio. The one with pistachio didn't even taste like pistachio . As a pastry chef, I have to say it tastes bad…

Had food poisoning from breakfast and egg and bacon today. Terrible symptoms doctor says likely to be salmonella poisoning.

A cozy little café with a nice selection of food. From sweet to savory. We chose scones with clotted cream and jam. And that was a good decision. The scones were delicious 😋, the clotted cream has a lot of (!!!) calories, but it's just as important as - for me - the jam. Placing an order was quick, the service was friendly and everything was delivered to our table quickly with coffee. The toilets are clean, also pleasant 😉. Be sure to check the opening times beforehand; We were lucky, but half an hour later we wouldn't have been served. But as it was, we liked it.

I usually come to this area a few times and it occurred to me that having breakfast in this place could be a good experience, but unfortunately it wasn't, the staff was nice, but they should pay a bit more attention to the hygiene of the utensils they offer to the customers and also in the food. Just a recommendation, maybe in my case I was unlucky this day!

Visited on a rainy Sunday morning. Nice little cafe in Greenwich. Service and the community like vibe were superb. Tried the egg Royale and cappuccino. The poached eggs were cooked unevenly, so as the texture of the hollandaise sauce on the side, but the flavor was still there. The choice of the coffee beans were too strong for a cappuccino so it didn't mix with the milk well and unfortunately left a bitter after taste. But it looks very pretty with the chocolate on top.

Fries were really dry and as hard as a rock. I had to throw them away as it was inedible. I also had chicken Burger which was good in general but very unsalted.

Lovely cafe with very attentive staff. Food was very good and service quick. Wide selection of breakfast choices including a specials menu. They also serve freshly squeezed orange juice, smoothies and lots of delicious looking cakes. Dog friendly.

We are here right now 10//03/24 we had the Mediterranean Breakfast and a fruit flavoured prosecco and it tasted amazing. The staff are lovely and friendly 💗

We had a great experience for our first time in Greenwich. We didn't know where to have breakfast so we tried the Green Café and it was lovely. From the food, which was excellent, to the cafés (oat milk latte was great), we had such a good time ! It is not too pricey, knowing that we were generously served ! Service was also quick and it's nice having smiling people welcome you :)

We waited in line with no issue and the staff moved some chairs for our group of 6. Food was great and the service was really good. Personally had the black pudding Benedict and it was awesome.

Excellent little cafe without the stress of Bills across the street. Had Eggs Benedict and it was well cooked and presented, and good value at £11. Lots of tasty pastries on offer and a good atmosphere, the only downside is there is a lot of screaming babies which is the bane of middle class Greenwich cafes and pubs. Also people smoke outside which stinks and gets inside but not the fault of the restaurant so can't complain. Great little breakfast place and well priced. Enjoyed it 🥳

Went for breakfast the morning after staying overnight at the Novotel with partner and friends. It was very busy and we got one of the last two tables left. Very interesting and extensive breakfast menu - we all went for different options and they were all absolutely delicious! Great drinks too (very good freshly squeezed juice), service was excellent and we also bought some fantastic homemade cakes to take away as we left. A really great find!

Very upsetting experience today. I always walk by but never enter. Today it was my first time. I really wanted to get some cake for take away. The place looks lovely. It is bigger than anticipated. The issue was I was waiting at the tail to order. There was a table of 4/5 people leaving. As one of them approached the cashier I let that person go. I was expecting that she would pay something and we would be the next. After she paid, I moved to start ordering and the guy at the payment said “it will take some time, I have all the other ones to pay”. WHAT? I said, it is fine I am not interested. I let someone go first the minimum service I would expect it was the guy to understand I was there first, or he asked if the other members of the table would mind to me to be next. I was a customer and definitely I will never be. And sad as they have a lovely selection.

I wasn’t shocked to read the other reviews below in honestly, but I wanted to share my experience as this place definitely has potential to thrive in busy Greenwich. We were one of 2 tables in. The place therefore lacked some atmosphere and it does look like it needs a bit of a refresh in there. The toilets are hidden away and look a bit unloved. We were given the option to sit where we wanted and were seated promptly. When we sat down, I asked if I could use my Tastecard (GBK is on there for O2 customers) and the waitress said she didn’t know what that was. There was a bit of silence and I wasn’t really sure what to say next. She went to say ‘you can go and ask’ before correcting herself and saying ‘I will go and ask the manager on shift’. I put it down to her potentially being new. She wasn’t rude, just probably a bit confused. We were given the little menu in addition to the normal which advertised the limited time only wings - which we were sold on - but when the manager on shift came over, he told us fried chicken was off as they were a frier down. We asked if that confirmed the wings and pointed to the little menu which he said it did and took it away. Our waitress came back and said I could use the Tastecard if I went up and ordered at the till. I’m not sure if that’s standard GBK practice now (going Nando’s style) but I didn’t mind. Our food came in good time, and looked really good too. Between 2 of us we had a grilled chicken burger, beef burger, 4 sides and 2 soft drinks (refillable). Everything was hot and fresh and really tasty. I highly recommend the grilled chicken burger, the onion rings and truffle mayonnaise. I did find it odd however that when I picked up my last bit of burger to eat, our waitress came and asked if she could take our plates whilst I still had the burger in my hand. She was really sweet and friendly, I just got the impression she’d been thrown into it and had to learn the basics on the job, not her fault at all. There’s huge opportunity here in my opinion for GBK. They have a good value menu that is really tasty but the aged interior and perhaps lack of investment in training their people up lets them down.

We had a lovely breakfast, we were served by Louie who was so lovely, efficient and really made an effort to make us welcome and comfortable. Would 100% recommend, best breakfast we have had!

The food/drinks were fine but I was charged 12.5% service fee on a coffee? And I wasn’t informed about this. There was no service on the coffee either?? Hidden charges so don’t recommend.

I ordered online my food and is really disappointed! They put all the sauce top of my panko (they suppose to use small containers for seperate the sauces!) Under the chicken was full of water what made my food sooo disgusting! Instead of my chunky fries i got a supercold skinny fries! Tottaly horrible and for 22£ nothing for dinner is not acceptable!

I can't quite bring myself to give this establishment 5 stars because a member of staff here was once extremely rude to my sister, but the food is great and the atmosphere is lovely and cosy.

Loved it here so much that we came back again the next day! Got the sausage sandwich, tomato soup, and coffee cake and all were fantastic.

Cosy setting. Well-priced. We were warned when one food item (turkey club) may take longer to cook than the others. We actually did not wait very long, in my opinion. The food came in generous portions, and was very tasty. The coffee tasted great. Would go back again!
