The staff here are fantastic and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Always had a great meal here and with the app you can get more for your money. Onion rings are the one!

We entered an empty restaurant! The manager - Danika was rude from point of entry! We entered with a buggy and were refused service ! We visit this restaurant frequently and sit in the exact same seat with a buggy Danika refused to seat us stating fire hazards and service issues which i’ve never heard of which is strange as we sit in same seat each visit however if there were those real issues then as someone with not only good customer service skills but as a manager, they would’ve given another solution such as the idea of placing buggy elsewhere, not point blank refusing service. I can only assume that some sort of discrimination was present! Which is disgusting! As to not serve us ! Gourmet burger literally should be ashamed to have employed such an awful backward individual and manager representing the company!!

This Lakeside GBK restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with the utmost respect and professionalism from the staff. Two employees in particular, Veronika and Caoimhe, truly stood out for their exceptional service. The time it took to be seated and served was great - I never felt rushed or overlooked. Veronika and Caoimhe were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of amazing. The food itself was delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for an enjoyable meal. Overall, my visit to the Lakeside GBK restaurant was truly remarkable. The combination of fantastic food, impeccable service from Veronika and Caoimhe, and the welcoming environment made this one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly exceptional meal.

Came by for lunch on the quayside; GBK offer incredibly flavourful food in a pretty, peaceful location. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout - will definitely be back.

El Pollo Loco 8/10, this tastes good, lots of consistency and flavour. Meal with Fries and unlimited drink. Decor is very neutral and sits on the Quay.. open plan and lots of fresh air. Service was great and polite friendly

The little coloured girl tia was amazing, she was very accommodating to my disability (dyslexia) and read the entire menu out loud for me to understand.

Came for a meal with my family for mother’s day & Tia our host was super friendly! She helped my very indecisive mother choose her burger which she absolutely loved!! Tia came around at perfect moments to ask how our food was and if we needed anything else. The atmosphere was warming, the food was tasty, our host was friendly - couldn’t have asked for anything more! Will be returning :)

Visited not long ago and had an amazing experience. I had never been before and was spoken to by an amazing worker called Tia, she was lovely. Explained everything to me and asked about things such as allergies and dietary requirements. Had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again.

On arrival we were met by a very welcoming young gentleman. The food was good value and of a high standard, the kids meals are very portioned. I cannot stress how impressed I was by the service we were provided. I didn’t get a young man’s name who was serving us yesterday evening but get him a promotion 5*

The food was amazing as always. The lotus milkshake is my favourite, I always get it and it’s always incredible. Working on the boardwalk, I sometimes crave a change in my meals and GBK always delivers. Thank you Henry :)

My partner and I have been coming to the lakeside GBK multiple times a month for almost a year now. it never fails to impress, the food is great quality for the price and the service is so genuine. we are always looked after by the same server, Henry, and he is always very friendly and helpful. Henry makes our experience at GBK Lakeside worth every penny. Thank you ☺️ We will continue to come back for years to come. Definitely would recommend!

Jess was amazing, the best service I have received at a restaurant. She took so much time and care to make sure my son’s peanut allergy was taken seriously. She made sure not only his meal was allergy safe but all the sides we were sharing so he was able to access the sides too. Thank you Jess for taking so much time and care with getting our order spot on. We had a wonderful family meal ❤️

Food very nice but staff couldn’t be less interested. One sat us at a table and never came back, one took our order (eventually), brought food to the table and never came back. While other staff deliberately look away to avoid clearing tables or taking drinks orders. And then have the cheek to add 12.5% service charge.

Considering it was valentines night everywhere else was packed this place only had a good few 15 people sitting that all have been served, waited 10 Minutes to even get seated no one was waiting to seat you, in the end we got seated to a table then waiting 20 minutes and watched three waiters clean one little table that only had 2 people sitting on it even a waiter cleaned the table next to ours and not even acknowledging us , the menu has changed so much might aswell go to a burger van sell the same stuff 💁🏼‍♀️ moral of the story don’t bother wasting your time here didn’t even get the chance to order the food we just walked out as it took 40 minutes just sitting there looking at the waiters they was just all cleaning one little table or standing by the kitchen talking definitely won’t be going back

I always have a good meal at GBK. Affordable prime beef burgers In a relaxed contemporary setting is just my cup of tea. It also doesn’t get too busy too, which is a shame because it is really good.

Came here for a birthday celebration today, the food and service were good but the night was ruined by this waiter with beard and dark hair and that was just making my girlfriend uncomfortable by just staring at her the whole time we were there. Hopefully someone takes some measures about it, we really like the place, wish we could just dine in peace next time.

Unacceptable. I paid for 3 smashed patties with bacon egg on and extra beef and it turned up one patty no egg no bacon no extra beef. Unacceptable

The service was extremely slow. We had to call the waiter at least 3 times to place an order. Ordered a smash burger and grilled chicken burger. The smash burger was literally minced beef without any seasoning. It was the most boring burger I had in my life. The grilled burger was another disaster, was so dull. This would be the last time I visit this restaurant. I'm giving one star to the burgers I previously ate in different branches and the other star goes to the lakeside view. Dissapointing

Burger and chips was good. My gf didn't like the bin though, the Oreo milkshake was delicious but sickly by the end of it. Overall if the burger and chips were bigger I'd say 5 star. I'm not really very impacted by service as long as they're not rude

I had ordered 2 veggie beyond meat burgers and 1 beef classic burger. The labels were incorrect and the beef burger was in the beyond meat box. For personal reasons I am a strict vegetarian and I do not eat meat. I rung GBK to inform them and they advised to complain to just eat? I am so shocked at the response but more so, how does a mistake like this happen??

This place is just ok. The burgers are expensive for the size and quality. What I found annoying is that student discount is only available Mon-Fri until 5pm. Those are pretty much the times when a student is expected to be at university! So stop pretending you have a student discount...

I came here on the 16th of september 2024 and must I say!! This restraunt has the best customer service i have seen especially Jess she was an absouloute angel. She was very helpful and had full knowledge of all the allergens. I will be back . Thank you so much Jess and GBK for the wonderful time (Jess deserves a raise.)

Poor service, we received the wrong order on multiple occasions in one sitting, food missing from the order, drinks missing. We asked for specific ingredients to be removed but this was not adhered to. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium, I received rare, then medium rare and an egg!!! I complained to the manager just to be told that they are short staffed and sometimes these things happen. This is the worse service I've received at a GBK. SATURDAY 27TH OF JULY 2024 18:05

Food was very nice, service wasn't great. Got placed at a small corner table when 60% of the place was empty, would have been nice to have a booth . Not asked if we required anything else once we received our food, staff looked a little miserable and the plates were pretty much thrown down in front of us

Ordered food from here, order took 30 mins, when food was delivered the wrong order was given to the driver. Called the restaurant and they said they can’t re send the food I have to call just eat to process a refund and re order the food. Unacceptable.

Very long wait from making the order to actually receiving the food. Like 45minutes wait. Would have been quicker to go shop. But in all food was fantastic. Guess all good things comes to those who waits

After a long day of shopping I was looking for a good meal but instead I was told by our waitress that I was wrong and obviously didn’t know how to read. I was flabbergasted. I asked the waitress if I could share my concerns about the menu with the manager and she asked if I thought the manager was stupid too. I was left speechless!! Horrified by her treatment, I asked my family if they had had enough abuse for one day and we all got up and left. I don’t care how good your food may be…nobody should be abused by a server in that way. All she had to say was I’m sorry for any confusion and if you would like to speak with the manager I can get them for you. How difficult is it to be nice to customers? I can promise that I won’t be returning and I will sharing my experience with everyone.

Went there for the first time, 5 of us, and were very disappointed. All the ads and pictures look very attractive. We spent £25pp for 1 drink and 1 burger and went out like never had food. The size of the burger was the same as mcdonalds for x5 price. Would never go back again.

Waited 20 minutes someone come and take an order. Staff are probably all actors, working in minimum wage.

Went in for brunch for the first time. Food was incredible and ordered a milkshake that is deadly....was so good! Service was fantastic. Would highly recommend

GBK have removed the self ordering and replaced it with table service so they can disguise a 'discretionary' service charge of 12.5% that comes automatically applied to your bill. We were a party of 3 so it's not even reserved for those tables with a significant number of diners. Absolutely shameful behaviour, tipping should be voluntarily offered and not expected.

Came here for the first time after shopping at lakeside. Very convenient location like the other places nearby. First the food is actually pretty good. Burger was cooked as we asked, good flavour and fair portion. Downside unfortunately was the service. We got seated quickly but wasn't actually served for over 20 minutes, despite the place not being so busy.

Decided to visit Gbk with my two children today. It was 3 o'clock afternoon- still pretty busy. I was greated at the door straight away, the host sat us down imediatly and brought a highchair for my baby without me having to ask. Manager Veronika was very helpful while I was ordering, sugested few things, everything was extremely tasty. The staff looked happy and was constantly smiling:) will definitely be back, one of the greatest experiences in the restaurant so far. Highly recomended

Visited at around 8.30pm on a Friday. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the service was fantastic. 2 kids with us both enjoyed different selections from the childrens menu. Thouroughly enjoyed the Taxi Driver burger. Will be back!

Lovely atmosphere. Was greeted at the door and shown to our seats. Given enough time to look at the menu and decide what we were having before being seen to. Food was really good. Will definitely be back when visiting Lakeside again.

I been almost in 3 different restaurants from 20:40 and they all have the kitchen closed because it was not busy… I walked in this gourmet burger kitchen and I received a good welcome and service the place was even more quite the the others.. I enjoyed the hamburger 🍔 for that the service and atmosphere you deserve a 5 stars from me..

I have been frequenting GBK Lakeside for many months, when working away from home, it has become my evening dinner haven. The team always have a warm friendly welcome, the restaurant is always clean and tidy and the food is really well prepared - and tasty. Special mention to two staff members who always go above and beyond to make sure I'm okay - Caoimhe and Henry. Thank you for always making my visit a great one :)

Changed a lot , liked it before but must be a new Manager . Is sitting not helping even when people wait for tables but restaurant nearly empty but employee is on break She does not jump in . Table smells with beer - the lady which took our order went on break and no one else could add anything to the order or provide us the bill , in the end an OPTIONAL 10% service charge was put on the bill . So that was it for us with GBK as the service was bad we would not give a tip at that time

burgers came squashed and food came damaged not like In the picture all messed up and look like a big mess.
