Been going here since a child now, I've moved to Willenhall and Bilston and still have stayed loyal to Golden Wonder and pay extra so they will deliver to me. The food and staff are amazing, i could not recommend it anymore than I currently do. Best Chinese in Wolverhampton by a country mile

Always pop in to pick up a Chinese when in the area, some times even travel from Walsall to order. Best place.

I've been ordering from here for years but the last few times have been poor rice is always burnt, curry sauce tastes stale today was the last straw I found hair in my food and this isn't the first time I just put the food quality/hygiene is a slip but it's been like this the last four times I've orded

Absolutely disgusting customer care I specifically asked for less onions in my food they fill up the tub with onions. Called the shop to complain took pictures but they didn’t care. They asked me bring, it back immediately… it’s New Year’s Eve and we’ve been drinking, I said I’ll bring it back tomorrow but they’re closed till Thursday, I’ve not once mentioned that I want a refund maybe knock off a percentage of my next bill I would’ve been happy but no option given…. so my New Year’s resolution is not to order from Golden Wonder ever again. We’ve been ordering from this restaurant for many year and I’ve never complained but honestly I had today after looking at all those onions especially when my bill was £35. I’m sure there’s a lot more nicer restaurants around the area, that will give me the service I deserve. It’s because of us, these restaurants run, but if you’ve got that attitude with your regular customer, I’m sorry you don’t deserve my services, any more!!!! You’ve lost a loyal customer! Happy New Year!

Friendly staff and lovely food

Absolutely worst food ever! Chips looked like they were cooked a day before so hard. Chow Mein and egg fried rice dark as anything more like burnt and taste absolutely awful. Waste of £18 I should have gone elsewhere don’t mind spending the money but not when the food is as disgusting as this. Even the prawn cracker didn’t taste nice. Nothing was fresh and don’t recommend save your money people

The Best Chinese Food in all of the West Midlands, there is an extensive menu with foods that you will not find anywhere else... I highly recommend The Ham Fried Rice, Singapore Chow Mein & Lemon Chicken... But anything you order from here will be of good quality... update 15/06/2021 food here is still very good but the price of food here is now almost £7+ per meal, not sure what justifies such and increase... No matter how good the food is, more than £5 a meal is not really worth it, when you can make the food at home for less the price... update 12/10/2022 this is still the best takeaway by far in Wolverhampton & likely the whole region i amend my original statement from last year yes it can cost more but the food is so much better than anywhere else. only place that has never let me down...

Mix platter fantastic, chciken chow mien nice , chicken curry sauce thick. Isn’t the word. Sticks to your fork like glue , I wasn’t gona speak up on here but I’ve spoken to shop and they said next time you have it thinner sauce , hotter or spicy. That’s not point , this sauce was like Glue or too much corn starch . Joke . Bye bye golden wonder 😡

Singapore rice looks burned and very dry much like when you reheat it curry sauce was green and in a jelly like lump sweet and sour sauce though nice was burst open onti everything in the bag spent over 18 pound so should gave got prawn crackers and a can of pop alas no can of pop most oc the food went into the bin a big waste of 23 pounds will never use again disgusting

The Chinese Small women is so rude, AVOID AVOID AVOID, food order was wrong and she wanted me to drive back, I said too send a driver, I was told "that will cost money" Like our drive will be for free, She was adamantly saying she was right, and I got the order wrong, Also told her about allergys and now there are black beans (odd) found in my DRY noodles, This place is shxt, If they managed too get the order right don't bother as the food has gone down hill,

I placed an order with Golden Wonder. I’m vegetarian, but my husband eats meat and so I ordered veggie food and one lamb dish for him; his favourite. As soon as I placed the order they phoned to make sure the meat dish wasn’t a mistake, since the other dishes were veggie and they do a mock lamb version of the lamb dish. How amazingly considerate and observant! They also asked if I wanted fortune cookies instead of the usual free prawn crackers, since these aren’t veggie. The person I spoke with was lovely and very helpful and polite. And by the way, the food is great from here! Great service; thank you.

I complained about a meal that was not cooked correctly and cold food and due to my complaint i have been told they refuse to deliver to my address again..HOW PATHETIC, IMMATURE AND CHILDISH. They must be making millions to refuse good customers..Ive read alot of reviews on here and most are bad ones. If you are not prepared to stand up for yourself then order from these idiots.

Weird experience, I ordered 3 items for £18 the driver rang the buzzer I answered it saying hello they did NOT respond so I pressed the button to let them inside the high rise. I got in the lift mind you I'm heavily pregnant so I tried to be as quick as I could. Upon making it down to the ground floor I had a man with an prange turban just glare at me, no communication whatsoever. I had doubts if he was even a delivery person the bag he held looked more like for what cameras ate supposed to be in I left and walked almost outside to see no-one. He took the lift leaving me to have no choice but to resort to the stairs. I was in pain, out of breath light headed freezing cold gave up went to floor 6 which wasn't my floor and took it to my actual floor. My boyfriend was beyond the other side worried about me mind you he had surgery on his feet not long ago he told me a man knocked on the door and accused him of not answering him to begin with. My partner explained I was waiting downstairs for him to pick up the food. The food was nice though but the delivery person was a disgrace wouldn't want me coming back here again. I looked for reviews online and I noticed after they took my order and delivered it with poor customer service they left online saying they weren't taking orders at the moment which made feel feel as though that's a red flag.

I haven't been using this chinese for a good few months as I found a different one I like (lai do) on the Penn Rd. The food from golden wonder used to be nice from here but after tasting it tonight, the food was tasteless, every last bit of it was. I wasted £28 and I wish I went to lai do because their food never disappoints. I was a long serving customer but they won't be receiving my custom again. The prices have increased and the portions have gone smaller. The beef curry was mostly curry sauce. The salt and pepper chicken tasted like rubber, no spice or favour to it. Very disappointed In what use to be a good take away.

Unbelievable over 1 hour and 35 minutes for delivery, had to make 4 phone calls and every call he is on his way, never going to order from here again, don't waste your money

Awfully long delivery. Waited 1hr and 20 mins for food to be delivered, only for it to be Cold!!! I've ordered from here in the past and it was spot in. Since then, service has drastically gone downhill. Maybe this is my wake up call to just stop ordering take aways as it just feels like a waste of money. The only positive is that they offer mock meat options, but they really need to improve on their services all over.

Food dropped off at an unmanned reception table ! No call to say it had arrived, subsequently sat there for 15/20 minutes, only bye chance that I called the restaurant to be informed it had been delivered ! Very poor delivery !!!

The delivery was extremely late. I called to check on it and was told any minute now but it was still another 20 minutes on top of that. The food was freezing cold when it finally arrived. First time using the restaurant and won't again.

The food that we had was so vile tasting and bland some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Not worth the money for how expensive it is.

Soggy wings (all broken drums no flats) and beef pretty chewy.. but it's very inexpensive so not a huge shock.

Terrible customer service and average frozen dim sum platter. The owner argued with me on the phone about the payment method I decided to choose. And was rather aggressive. Food was extremely mediocre, we only tried them, because the missus wanted dim sum platter (all from the freezer).

Food was hot and portions were large, good value overall. The chow mein had an almost cigarette-like smell, but tasted good. Delivery was almost late but the driver was very kind & offered excellent customer service, no complaints here.

The time for delivery was estimated 40-60 mins when ordered but the food came way after It arrived freezing cold, the chips were soggy and hard the chowmein had hardly any flavour The salt n pepper prawns were the worst yet . Highly disappointed.

Roast duck in plum sauce. NO a few scraps of duck in a container and a tiny pot of sauce, is what I received. Phoned to complain, to be told that is how it is tough luck.Unacceptable. Avoid this place, so many others better locally. Check Google reviews too.

Shocking portion size and the roast duck main, was just a few pieces in a tub. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Absolute disgrace. £27 for two chicken curries. Portions are tiny. Stay clear of here! Chicken was frozen. Place should be shut down with immediate effect.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was just so, so greasy, I've not managed to really eat much. Everything was almost soaked in grease, and just generally not nice food. The delivery driver was also rude and grunted that he had knocked twice. Its a shame, I tried a new Chinese, but unfortunately won't be returning.

Utterly ridiculous. Food took ages to come. My partner had to speak to the restraunt as items were missing. He was insulted. They refused to let him speak to a manger and then hung up on him. Food was cold. One of the worst takeaways I've ever had. Will not being going here again. Would strongly suggest you stay away from here.

I would give them 0 star rating if I could - ordered food and waited nearly 2 hours. Called in between and was told the driver would on his way and still no one turned up, almost 2 hours later the delivery driver turns up and I refuse to pay. Shops calls back offering a discount price for cold food but couldn’t call back to inform me the servers were down and driver was going to be later than expected. - Very disappointed.

Delivered to hotel reception already 30 mins late with no instructions to hotel staff as to whos it was apart from a first name and No call to my mobile. When i rung to voice my frustration once i finally got my food the lady i spoke to argued with me and tried to blame hotel staff. The food was wrong as got a sweet and sour instead of schezwan and the Rice was tasteless.

Recently moved into Wolverhampton and didnt know a local chinese so i searched google and this was top rated nearby, i can see why its yop rated, the food was very very tasty and it came very quick, 100% be ordering from here again.

Weve been using golden flavour(lee) for years, we used to live in blakenall and used them then but now moved to beechdale and still order from lee, admitadly tried others but we keep goin back, me and the family are always happy what gets delivered to us. Really recommend

complete disappointment 1 hr late. yuksung tasted bad, wontons average, duck average hardly any onion and cucumber, sweet hot soup was plain, chicken sweetcorn soup was OK, salt and pepper chips were just grease disgusting went in the bin, szchuauan duck was nice and udon duck was OK lacked flavour. Sent fried plain chicken which wasn't ordered guessing as an apology for late delivery which isn't acceptable I would of rather canceled if I knew it would be 1hr late. Definitely will not use again

Took over 2 hrs for delivery..called for update they said its on the way' an hour later food showed up' delivery guy said he just picked it up..dont know who to believe..dont want food thats been sitting around for an hour or cold food..

Great service, great food, great prices and usually fast delivery. Been going here for over 12 years now. We wouldn't go anywhere else. We've tried other Chinese curry shops in the area but nothing compares to golden wonder. We'll always prefer to go here
