Golden Star Chinese Takeaway in Glasgow City

Food was alright tbf we had shredded chilli chicken which didn't really taste Spicy or salt and pepper But maybe just selected wrong dish. But counter staff are very ignorant absolute not customer service skills it's as if it was a bother putting an order in no please no thank you absolute poor service.

Ordered a take away last night and the chicken curry wasn't edible. Was so watery no taste its as if they watered it down 🤮

Food is absolutely amazing, not quite happy with the time I’ve waited tho, last two times I’ve got from here I’ve waited an hour or more, phoned up and the woman just couldn’t be bothered with her job, instead of saying sorry for the time or anything like that all I got was a “right bye” in my opinion the least you could do is apologise or speak nicely when I’ve waited an hour on my food

Great Takeaway. Foods always on time, hot & tasty. Salt & Chilli munchy box is amazing. I stop in just to get their Peking sauce for when I'm making Chinese in the house.

Food was nice and I enjoyed not entirely sure if it was cooked properly as it’s the only thing I ate today and it made me sick

Ordered a special chow mein and it was bland and dry hardly any gravy sauce was 8.50 nit worth the price the beef and chicken were hard. The chips were dripping with grease and stuck to the bag they were rock solid. Not worth waiting an hour for.

Had chicken in black bean sauce and spring rolls. The chicken was very gelatinous, and didn't enjoy it. Enjoyed the spring rolls, and there was plenty of it. Very handy for parking.

Ridiculously small portion of salt and chili shredded chicken with a very small tub of curry sauce HALF full , the standard of food is acceptable however go elsewhere if your hungry , this will be my last purchase

The worst service i have had i order though just eat and because I got my money back thay wanted the food back as my delivery was late

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. It was watery, bland and greasy. Salt and Pepper chips were alright but not great. Everything was cold. Terrible experience.

Bought meal deal for 1 cost increased to 10 pounds 4 little bits of spare ribs chicken noodle soup lacked chicken and rather tasteless chicken curry just about passable not a great experience shop constantly putting up prices maybe they should raise the quality to justify such increases in price

I went to this Chinese for quickness as it is just round the corner from me and was the worst decision I ever made. It doesn’t even deserve one star. I got a chicken fried rice and paid £7.10 and £1 for a can of IRN-BRU that was from a multipack which I could have bought for the price of their fried rice. The chicken was nothing other than disgusting and the curry sauce could have made me sick. Avoid at all costs!

Normally I would give a 5 star but not today. The Singapore fried rice was awful £7.50 for rice with very little meat. This is very unusual I'm a regular customer at least 3 times a week . I pay good money for my food and this is unacceptable.

Absolutely terrible experience ordered off of just eat and my food came 1 hour after estimated time! Which in total i waited 2 hours for my dinner, girl was not helpful at all when i called will never ever be back!!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE i waited an hour and a half on a delivery and wene i recieved a message saying food on its way i waited a further 30 mins and wen my food did arrive it was cold absolute joke plus reviews on just eat will show lots of ppl waiting 2 and 3 hours for a delivery .joke

First meal from this Chinese takeaway and have to say it was impressive and very tasty and was delivered on time five stars all the way

Time quoted for delivery was over an hour, we accepted this, it’s was a Saturday night and everyone wants a takeway. After this time had passed we called the shop for an update. The person on the phone was so rude! She couldn’t tell me if my food was in the shop or had left. I had to ask her if she could find out, she said she couldn’t find my order, she was at the front desk and not in the kitchen. Keeping in mind is already paid for the order, The call ended with her slamming down the phone. I contacted Just Eat, who were told by Gloden Star I wasn’t getting a refund for food I haven’t received!? They also slammed the phone down on the rep from Just Eat. Just Eat agreed to fefund my order in the end. The sole purpose of a takeaway is to make the food ordered and deliver it. Where something hasn’t gone to plan the least they can do is give the customer an update and they couldn’t even do that. Make it easy on yourself and go somewhere else!

Always amazing, never had a bad meal or a bad service. The food is out standing for the prices, I advice everyone to try the chicken fried rice, salt & pepper chips and the salt & pepper chicken bites. The satay sauce is the bomb aswell, Loyal customer to this place and I will never go anywhere else👌🏼👌🏼

I Placed an order through just eat and they forgot the chips so they send some chips back out and there undercooked and so greasy and not even an apology from the workers won't be ordering from here again worst Chinese in Glasgow!!!

Worst chinese in glasgow, they forgot some of our order then sent us out new food and it was undercooked plus the woman on the phone has terrible comunacations skill not even an appolgy for the incoveince cause do not order from here waste of time and money.

I regularly order from this takeaway. Great service and i've never had a bad meal. The staff are always lovely and are more than accomodating when making changes to meal deals or munchie boxes. I recently called in a large order when having a party and they had my order within 10 minutes! I'd say it's the best chinese takeaway in the area.

Food is always lovely however tonight they mixed up my order, I called to get it fixed and the person on the phone was horrible, wouldn't let me talk, would speak over me and raise her voice telling me to listen in a cheeky tone, then hung up on me, so I called back to be put on holding hoping it would be to the manager or someone with better customer service skills to then find out it was the same women so continued to tell me I was wrong when I have it in black in white that I was right, to then hang up the call again with saying cheekily I'll send out your curry sauce bue ? What about the rest of the food ? They were even that sure I never paid for it I said I would gladly play for them and she continued to ignore me? Still waiting on the curry sauce so now my food has been spoiled as it's now freezing because of how long I've been waiting 😡

I've been coming here for almost 3 months now and being a food lover, Chinese being one of my favourite cuisines, I can say that the food cooked here is lovely! More over, the staff always made sure that I got food cooked according to my tastes because I love spicy, like a lot more than a normal person does! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this takeaway if you like Chinese and if you want the quality😊
