Golden Star in Rushcliffe

Golden Star is my regular Chinese takeaway. Great customer service, good always ready quickly and delicious. We love the Spicy Hot Szechuan Shredded Chicken, the salt and pepper prawns, satay chicken and chicken fried rice. Curry sauce is also spot on. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely shocking everything from crispy ( soggy ) beef tasteless chicken ( rubbery) chow mein to poor egg fried rice . Highlight was packed prawn crackers

I really liked food from Golden Star, but I cannot justify paying so much. Prices have literally doubled in three years. Takeaway should not be nearly £20 per person. Shame as they make really tasty food. But as it stands I won't be going back.

Looked forward to a great meal..Have used this take away in the past. Think it has now changed hands? .....lemon chicken dish most unpleasant. Took the solid batter off the meat, and fed the chicken to my dogs. Chicken tough and hard. Fried rice OK. Lemon sauce fine. Very disappointed....would not recommend this take away and will definitely avoid in future.

We’ve been going here ever since we moved to the village and always had great food and service. Food is always ready on time and piping hot.

From phone order to collecting usually about 20 minutes. Shame they don't deliver. :-) Very flavoursome and not overdosed with msg as some Chineses tend to do.

Had chicken curry, egg fried rice, chicken chow mien, and the shredded chicken specialty dish. Wasn’t too bad the chicken was soft in the curry wasn’t a great texture and the prawn crackers were not fresh at all. The shredded chicken also wasn’t shredded so don’t know why they call it that. Over all was good value for money though.
