Golden Ricksaw in Cardiff

Ordered veg spring rolls, Singapore chowmein and tofu satay for collection. Quantity of both were good. Spring rolls were out of a frozen box they sell in any supermarket Chowmein were edible but they added frozen vegetables in it instead of fresh ones Tofu satay had pineapple chunks in it and way too sweet for our liking. Our fav Chinese place closed down so this was our attempt at trying a new place. Very disappointed and won’t be ordering again. It’s no where near an authentic Chinese food.

Called the restaurant to make a change to my order they were super polite and helpful. Was my sons birthday so they gave him some prawn crackers and fortune cookies with was so kind

I had a chicken ball box meal. Absolutely disgusted to find that the balls had the thinest slices of chicken and mounds of batter. I will never get food from this takeaway again. It feels like they are putting cost over quality, evidently cheaper to put in tiny slices of chicken and bulk up with batter to cheat the customer.

First time to order ! Had a home delivery thru Uber eats ! Food arrived piping hot, delivery time was spot on ! Every dish was lovely and tasty … spring roll was delicious none of it was greasy just very nice …. Very rarely order takeaway Wud highly recommend this takeaway

Was only place open on the way home, very pricey for what we ordered. When we plated up the food we had hot dog sausages/frankfurter in our rice 🤷‍♀️ never known a Chinese takeaway or restaurant to do this ever. Won't be ordering from here again.

Would give lower if I could. Honestly tried to make the best when this arrived but it was impossible. Worst food we've ever had. It was cold, bland and just tasted wrong so went in the bin!!

The order of crispy beef didn't even fill 1/4 of the small container. I've never seen a portion size that small in my life, will not order from here again.

Ordered in December and enjoyed. However ordered today and sadly not same experience. All containers were dripping in grease. I had to wash my hands 3 times whilst putting it in a plate. Nothing had spilled. Didn’t feel great after eating either so sadly my quest continues for a decent Chinese delivery service.

Honestly, staff were incredible, spoke to one the night before I came in and they were lovely (staying in Cardiff for the weekend). Stopped for food the next day purely because of how nice they were and it was awesome - I’d highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Food tasted of grease. Every dish tasted the same and we had a mixed order of meals and meats. Would not eat here again.

Never have i tasted food this bad ever. The spare ribs and sweet and sour chicken were inedible, I threw them in the bin. I would not even feed them to my dog.

There was literally one piece of chicken in my wife's chicken chow mein. The special chow mein and special fried rice were underseasoned and tasteless. The fried rice was also very dry. All in all, very disappointing.

First time ordering. Food was a few mins late, not a problem for me as food was delicious and hot. Delivery girl apologised, was very polite and friendly. Ordered the sharing box and it was huge, came in a large pizza box with 2 large sauces. Really happy. Will definitely order again.

Ordered chicken curry but what looked like chicken is a actually potatoe..

Great food, really tasty, piping hot and great delivery person and was a perfect hand off.

I have never received sweet and sour delivered already in the sauce previously. They have always been packed separately previously from other establishments. Therefore, less quantity and batter soggy.

Ordered chicken chow mein with thin noodles, only received the noodles, also had chicken fried rice, curry sauce & chips which was lovely, fresh & tasty.
