Golden Palace in Barnet

Great Turkish take away. Had Lamb Shish with rice, salad and all the trimmings. Freshly cooked over hot coals. Would definitely recommend this place

I though to try as so many pople recommended this place.Doner was so dry that we couldn't even eat it.Massive long pieces and small portions for large.Garlic sauce hmmm more like mayo garlic.Salad was nice.I will stick to my East Barnet kebab.

Benefit of the doubt - second home delivery - the portion is shockingly small. Chicken shish; chicken fine but the salad - 1 slice of cucumber, x1 slice of tomato, x6 slithers of lettuce leaves, x4 slices of onion and I kid you not, x4 slithers of red cabbage. Yes I counted as it was appalling. First time was bad, this time, well….. Never again guys I’m sorry. In person you seem to care… delivery … wow…. I know businesses don’t like Uber Eats, Deliveroo etc, but you DO put a premium on top of this to cover costs, so outdoing the customer ultimately on cost to cover your expenses (which those that care about local businesses accept) and THEN to scrimp on portions …. Come on …. it isn’t on.

Always delicious fresh great portion kebabs , just a shame its cash only for delivery which can be annoying otherwise good food but the no card machine really puts me off

Ordered take away. Lamb donner meat was salty, lamb kofte just didn't taste nice with a cheesy after taste! Chicken donner meat was nice and salad was fresh. Garlic sauce was nothing special. Chicken nuggets and scampi for kids was adequate. Average greasy kebab food nothing special.

Hi, I recently went to Golden Palace, and I would like to mention that the food there was absolutely amazing. It was just rightly piquant and savoury to a tee, and I tried double burger meat (beef), I would definitely recommend the place🤩

A very professional restaurant!! I recommend to get the veggie burger and cheesy chips! The price in total was around £9 which is brilliant

Used this local restaurant for a home delivery late on a Sunday evening (we were the last order taken that night). The meal arrived earlier than estimated and we were amazed at the size of the portions. The chicken burger I ordered was probably the messiest meal I have ever had but it was fantastic value and tasted great. Will definitely use again - well done Golden Palace.

The food was cold, they missed the chips off the order, and the lamb Shish was 95% salad and a couple of pieces of lamb! Worst takeaway I’ve had for a long time!

I'm veggie so wouldn't normally rate a kebab place. But the owners are great, service fab, food fresh - I normally have chips pitta salad and sometimes the veggie burger. My hubby rates the chicken filet burger - a healthier option.

Just moved to the area and I always check out kebab places around. This place was good, really friendly staff, decent value and a good selection of food. Tried the lamb shish and it was good, mostly juicy (one or two dry cubes but overall great) chips were lovely and crunchy and their sauces are fantastic. They have a slightly zingy, pickled cabbage mix they add to the salad which is new and interesting. Would definitely go back

I was forced to go here by my boss ,to collect what I can only describe as some kind of horsemeat in some kind of bread placed in a styrofoam box.I still smell it in my nightmares.

I recently visited UK on holidays from Australia... I was visiting friends in New Barnet,When my nail ripped off! I popped into this fast food place requesting a plaster / first aid. I was told they did not have a first aid kit nor did they have any plasters I was directed to visited Sainsbury's over the road. I had planned to eat her later that evening although there lack of urgency in my time off need really put me off. Why would I give a business money ? Who hasn't a first aid kit on hand (isn't it healthy & safety policy to have a first aid kit).This is sad that they have so many loyal customers.. even they were shocked by the negative response I received. I went into the pub next door where they were more than happy to provide first aid.

Very tasty but when it says its open until 1am and you arrive at midnight on the dot and see the shutters are already down halfway. They had actually turned off the grills and fryers and were closing up long before midnight. The owner said they closed at 12am but that everything was already off. I have suggested a review of the opening hours on Google.

Really annoyed says open till 1 went there 12.23pm and it was shut false advertisement sort it out

Great kebab's so the non veggies tell me, they have the large donor's and chicken shish. Salad in pitta is really very nice, lovely and fresh, the pitta is lovely! The chips, are lovely, as long as they are NOT crispy or overdone, which they have not been for a long time,they are nice and light and not brown. Only 1 little thing, the home made garlic sauce used to be as lovely as the home made chili sauce but they have changed it and its not nice anymore! Sorry, but have to be honest. Staff always lovely, place always clean. Not expensive either. Please DO NOT change the chili sauce like you have with the garlic. I dip my chips in it. Best chili sauce in and best donor in the UK.

Truly part of Barnet. Like everyone else says, they're the best kebabs I've eaten and served with a smile and chat.

Very good kebab shop. Tasty meat, especially. It outshines most other kebab shops. Take-away wrapping could be done more tidily so that one doesn't end up with a lot of wet paper over the food. Very friendly staff, and a selection of newspaper at the counter for some while-u-wait reading.

I've been using these guys for 20 years at least. It's a family run business and hasn't changed hands since. I won't go anywhere else when I'm in Barnet. Their kebabs are second to none, great burgers, good choice on the menu and prices are very reasonable! Defo recommend 😁

One of the rare kebab shops in London that have fresh chicken breast in their burgers (none of that frozen stuff)! Food hits the spot, staff are friendly and they respectfully make the orders to your liking.

When I first went to Golden Palace, it was like 'Burger Revolution' for me! First of all, I can only apologise if you discovered Golden Palace a few years before me, but this place was new to me with a twist! Who goes to a takeaway place, looks at the menu and picks the same old thing each thing each time? It's time to change that old habit here then! Golden Palace offers you the usual kebabs of different types and then a huge range of burgers. My all time favourite is the 'Harlem Burger', a big chicken burger with mushrooms and salad. The chips are great too! There are burgers with beef, egg and bacon or one with chicken, prawns and cocktail sauce, chicken and bacon, the list goes on.. The menu is amazing! Service wise, they always friendly, I've rang up to place an order before leaving to get it before, always happy, welcoming and treat you like a regular even if they have never seen you before! There is a medium size seating area that is often opened up which means you don't need to eat on the move. If Golden Palace delivered.. Wow.. the vision! Best takeaway for me, can't recommend highly enough!
