Golden Leaf Chinese Takeaway - Bothwell in South Lanarkshire

We got chinese here on christmas day, everything was 10/10 and total value for money, £42 for 3 adults and 3 children plus leftovers and was all ready to collect in an hour no faults

Food is normally amazing from here but the ‘prawn’ toast has zero prawn in it an just tasted of deep fried bread. The chicken balls were cold and mushy inside so obviously not cooked enough and not crispy at all. The satay was lovely as usual. Unfortunately won’t be using this Chinese again now.

Prawns were terrible, dry overcooked and not fresh at all.

Delivery time was 1.5 hrs but still late! Annoying!

Great, received on time which was a surprise for a Sat evening. Always busy which highlights the quality of their food. Malay rice is spicy if that's your thing.

Food was delivered 2.5hrs after order was placed. I appreciate it was exceptionally busy however when I called for an update on my order I was told it would leave for delivery in 10mins. 45 mins later it still had not been delivered. And when the food arrived it was warm at best. Customer service was apolying, and will not refund or offer a gesture of good will! saddend by the experince! And now they have lost my custom!

Placed ordered at 18:28 I phoned at 20:30 to ask about the delivery was told they were busy came at 21:47 it was reheated and chips,chicken balls were soggy. Wasn't a very nice taste to the chicken! Majority went in the bin!

Ordered at 8:24, received food at 22:30 which was cold and didn't taste the best. Ended up not eating it and had to go get something else. Disappointed.

Absolutely knock out. Every time I’ve used this place, it’s been fantastic. Food fresh, always hot and delivered with a smile. Ribs are the best around. Thanks again

At last… had issues the last time I ordered on 5th November which was out of the ordinary for this take away, of which i always enjoyed, but was put off on this date due to the late arrival of our meal and subsequently frozen.. but since our other family members wanted to order we gave it a chance but wanted to pickup this time.. the food was delicious and enjoyed it.. but the delivery is questionable..

Wasn’t the worst Chinese I’ve had but certainly was nowhere near the best… rice had an aftertaste and the chicken balls where soggy before sauce was put on… salt and chilli chips where ok

Took almost two hours to arrive, I phoned the shop and was told the driver had left over half an hour ago so obviously the food was stone cold when it arrived, won’t be ordering again anytime soon 👎🏻

Driver left food on the ground at front door. When I opened the door, he was already in his car. He shouted 'you're welcome,' then drove away. Raging. As soon as the bell rang, I ran down the stairs, with a tip. Won't order again from here.

Waited over 90 minutes for the order and I was very disappointed by the quality of the food it didn't seem very fresh and for such a long wait I would have expected it to be freshly made.

BBQ ribs Juicy and tender. Chilli chicken sweet and sour was excellent. Can't wait for my next takeaway.

The food was delivered cold. I ordered chicken chow mein, chicken breast with gravy. It was disgusting, dry chicken and awful thick salty gravy and not much else! It was so bad it went in the bin what a waste of money! 🤬 the only thing that was acceptable was the pancake rolls they were really nice I would order them again but not the rest of the food 🤢

Would be nice if the filling of things live har gow are included, I'm not a fan of prawns.

Delicious food but the prawns were chicken.

Was recommended here, but it was far too salty. Chips were reheats, salt and pepper chicken balls were soggy and hardly any meat on spare ribs. Really disappointing

King prawn in satay was cooked to perfection. Loads of prawns and veg. Pancake roll (2) with crispy outside and bean sprouts crunchy. There was a choice of 4 sides I got the chips on this occasion, again large portion. Be good to have had a choice of veg as an accompaniment. Highly recommend.

THE best chinese in Glasgow. Chicken chow mein the best chow mein I have ever tried. a tad salty BUT i dont even care it is so good. and the crunch on the salt and pepper chips WOW 10/10 thank you for curing my hangover tonight

Food was lovely, had Chicken Honey Chilli Sauce which was really good. I usually have chicken and ham fried rice but the change was welcome. Portion size is also really good. My sati skewers where bursting out the box lol. Also lovely. Will be bk. 👍

I want to put in a complaint my meal was uncooked was disgusting .

I just ordered noodles, with sliced beef n satay sauce, ive ordered loads before and it's lovely...but tonight wow!!! The noodles were brick hard like crunchy the way they are before u cook them, i phoned to complain, terrible service

There was no chicken it was all batter and no honey chill sauce the meal was really dry and worst meal I had good earned money wasted

Placed an order waited 2hrs and food never showed. When I called the restaurant I was told I would need to contact just eat for them to issue refund.

For the second time in a row food was late, when checked progress on the app, said enjoy your food when it hasn’t even been delivered yet. I’m not one to complain usually. Because their food is amazing. But delivery is a joke.

golden leaf is my go to chinese, their food is always made fresh and fast ready to collect at the time said, quality is never an issue and prices are really good.

Phones and told too many orders meaning the time my food was to be delivered it wasn’t even prepared according to the restaurant. Times need to be more specific from the app as restaurant were unaware of time the food was to arrive

Second time ordering - first time forgot munchie box. Second order food took 1hr 40mins, when asked how long food would be during ordering they hung up, arrived cold, only thing that had any heat was the sauce, even the soup was cold response after having a 10 min convo with customers while i asked to speak to person in charge, manager refused to respond, I am waiting on delivery driver to come with refund and collect food it's now 8.43pm been waiting for 20 mins, was told would recieve refund as long as the "foods all returned" well there's ur cold dry food packed and waiting!! disgusting and pathetic response not even an apology, staff are rude. Had to order from enzos instead it was delivered within 10 mins of the order!! Delivery driver eventually arrived with refund after 1hr 30mins being aggressive, defensive and seemed to think this was justified!! Good luck in life when that's your attitude hope she has a flourishing career in the food Delivery service 😀 male delivery driver was polite and apologetic.

Always a really good meal, no spongey chicken or half arsed curry sauce from here! Might take an hour but it come fresh and worth it! Salt n pepper chicken is spot on!

Beef and black bean sauce and fried rice. Amazing. Really tasty full of flavour and alot in it . And nice fluffy crispy chips. And am quite fussy. But all in all well done guys l. 2nd time ordering from here. Will defo me back to try other things. But 10 out of 10 for the beef and black bean.

I ordered this delivery at 5:15pm and at 7pm it still had not been delivered. No information at all from the restaurant until I called at 6:50pm for an update to be told it’s on its way? Not great and won’t be using this restaurant again

The food is always great from Golden Leaf but tonight's meal was phenomenal! I ordered with an estimated delivery time of 8pm-8.20pm. It arrived at 7.50pm and the driver was very polite. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was yummy and also got the chicken with black pepper sauce, fried rice and salt and chilli chips. Everything was delicious! Thank you for a lovely meal!

Ordered delayed, food needed reheated not worth it! Arrived 20 mins after it finally left the shop!
