Went for lunch with my mum, after being in at the gym. Mark was the waiter, his customer service is outstanding, he has a few tables that he was serving. But my mum and I thought that we were being served by a personal waiter. This guy is an absolute amazing waiter. Why isn’t he the manager?

We arrived on Thursday 28/07, it’s literally in the hospital grounds, no parking! Luckily for us the kind receptionist moved her car so I could get near to the entrance which helped being disabled. We had an evening meal booked which was ok not great though. Our room was old and tired, I had booked a room with a king size bed, what we got was a room with a double base with 2 single mattresses on, so one was hanging off the base and you felt as if you were about to slip on the floor, move into middle and you ended up sleeping on the ridges of the single mattresses, so no sleep for us. The room was so hot and stuffy we turned the air con on, well the humming was terrible so we turned it off again but the humming never stopped all night, the noise of the planes, helicopters etc was awful so having the window open ( only the smallest of a slither open) was also a no go. We were woken ( after finally falling asleep) to the bleep bleep bleep of vans or machinery outside the window, and we were on the 4th floor!! Breakfast was just about eatable, but overall a terrible stay never to return!! Receptionist in the morning when we were checking out was more interested that we paid our drinks bill than the quality of our sleep or room!! So it’s a big fat NO! to the golden jubilee hotel from us!!

Nice staff and location. Slightly cavernous but I guess it does cater for large events. Food was a mixed bag . Nice scallops and soup. Awful Mac and cheese. Tasteless and no seasoning. Then the weirdest thing happened. I've never in my life experienced this. Instead of taking my awful macaroni cheese away and fixing it. They brought me a tiny copper pot of cheese sauce, to add myself, to the barely touched dish. In utter amazement I proceeded to pour the sauce ontop of the dish in some strange attempt to improve it. Wrong wrong wrong. I ended up dipping my chips into the new cheese sauce and sending the rest back uneaten.

We were looking for somewhere good for lunch in the area and remembered the great wedding we went to at the hotel some years ago. The food was excellent then and again did not disappoint. The dining room was airy with a view over the Clyde. The service was efficient and discreet. The prices are reasonable. There is outside seating if desired. It is possible also to enjoy a stroll along the walkway by the Clyde.

Owner kicked me out for having a phone and kid you not for pressing buttons on a slot I was playing. Beyond egotistical, hovers over you counting the amount of times your pressing buttons. The owner only starts doing this once you’re in profit. Sad little man. Was one of his best customers now I’m never going back, what a way to run a business by banning your customers over the most microscopic things imaginable. Minus 10 stars for this cabbage patch of a “human”

Haven't had a Chinese in ages so popped in and bought chicken fried rice. Disappointed isn't the word. Chicken had some kind of gravy covering it which I think is weird and changes the flavour. Takeaways are becoming lazy nowadays and really need to up their game.
