Was told delivery would be 45 mins over 1 hour before it arrived. Food cold will not order again

great food, had it loads of times, only on the odd time have they made a mistake, but the staff are very helpful and understanding.

2 prices of mini fish and cheesy chips. And yummy. Once again amazing food at a good price. Thanks again Golden Grill.

For the last two weeks I’ve had parts missing of my order the same happened tonight I know it was only gravy but that’s twice now and last week it was a kebab, we hope it will improve or it’s time for a change

Golden Grill, I spent only 24 pounds; the food was amazing, Pizza, kebab, Massive Chips, Doner Kebabs, Lamb Shishes .Still working on eating it. 5* You guys rock. 100%

about 8pm this evening I had chips, large batted sausage and curry. Got home and started eating chips first. Rubbish chips. Old and chewy. This isn’t the first time. Took back for a refund. Person in charge said they were fresh. Said the same last time. Complete lie. You can tel when chips have been stood or reheated. Last time I go there.

Is it under new management? Not used it for a while but the cheese burger and chips tonight were shocking chips were cold and uneatable and the beef burger bun was soggy won’t be calling again.

Ove the years I have ordered from here, never really had a problem. But recently the food has uneatable, now I would never slate a company unless I feel I need to. But I would certainly not be eating from here again.

Not a Restraunt but a good traditional fast food outlet, serving fish, chips, kebabs and great pizza.

Nice local takeawat, we picked up our food, friendly guys and very good selection of foods on the menu. Usual fish and chip shop foods also pizza and kebab choices. Busy place but good food.

It Was the only place left in bolsover I would confidently order from. Not any more, the food we received was disgusting. The skin on the fish was so over cooked it made it hard to chew and the chips had been unmistakingly double dipped in an attempt to reheat them. You could see pools of dye that hadn’t been propped mixed in to make the peas the radioactive green that they are. Both meals ordered are still sat on the side, so bad we plan on taking the in eaten meals back to show you

What a delightful bit of food that was. Honestly I’d highly recommend you to try this place out. It’s clean, tidy & the smell alone just drags you in there😂 Please visit if you’re in town, thank me later.

Moved to Bolsover about 9 years ago. This is my "go to" chippy. The portions are generous and the service cheery, even if you drop by right on closing time. Thank you 🙂 👍

Takes ages to get food there when ordering over counter. Multiple occasions, infact the last three times, they've messed up the order with something missing. Have to travel back to sort it out, big inconvenience for what should be simple work whilst the other food is getting cold. Bad bad service.

Just ordered from here n found a slug in my food absolutely disgusting 🤮. When I ordered staff spoke to me like rubbish I will definitely not be ordering or eating from here again

Ordered a kebabs wrap with chilli sauce which I didn't get. Didn't ask if I wanted salad or sauce for the chips. The cashier seemed annoyed that I was ordering my food.

So good! The chips are amazing. We have ordered twice now and both times the food was excellent. The pizza we had was full of toppings and the base was just right. The kebab by far the best I have ever had, and I have had a lot, ha ha. And the Yorkshire fishcakes bursts of crispy happiness. Thank you

Not happy at all order food at half 7 at night they said 45mins upto a hour 1 n half hour later it comes cold I rang 3 times to ask where it was but just got we are busy but that nothing new with them Now days just take the piss it's not that hard get more drivers simple.

Took 1hr 40min to come and was cold.

Ordered for delivery. Chips were old, chewy and freezing cold. Completely inedible. Pizza wasn't cooked in the centre but burnt on the crusts. Pies are old and warmed up, again indelible. Used to love the food here but thins has totally put us off and definitely won't be returning

One of the best experiences you can have whilst obliterating a burger. Omg. I genuinely don’t remember the last time a burger was this juicy, the sauce amount was just right as well! The chips, oh dear me they were so succulent. Thank you guys! Keep it up!!

Spent just £29.35 I had the 2 x1/4lb burgers 🍔 and chips meal deal and lamb shish ordered at 7pm didn't turn up till 9pm after a phone call after an hr and 1/2 to find out where it was 😡 it's come and its cold surprise the shish is that hard I can't chew it the garlic bread was stone cold and there was more cold cheese that pizza the onion rings oily and stone cold the chips where stone cold and didn't look or smell appetising the burger was luke warm and only just edible what a waste of gd money absolutley will never order from them again and this was a Wednesday night not even a busy one xx p.s I recieved a message from the owner who apologised for my meal and gave us a £30 voucher to spend as we wanted and we had another order which was on time and was very nice indeed we ordered to burger meal garlic bread and garlic mushrooms everything was hot and tasted great so maybe it was a one off mistake

I order from here alot over the years.. for the last couple of times it has been absolutely shocking.. I can't even eat the food it's disgusting!! Stale.. tasteless and a waste of money! Was definitely the last time that I order from here!!

It probably the best in bolsover, they also do fish and chips and tbh for a takeaway they are very good, and the portion sizes are huge.

Order from here on a regular basis but tonight the food was swimming in fat , £13 in the bin , the food is usually good but today it was vile

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE Disgusting! Ordered a kebab calzone. Nowhere did it state it comes with onions and mushrooms. There’s about 3 pieces of kebab and the rest is mushrooms and onions. Rang up and the guy clearly had 2 brain cells.

Always loved this place. The only place I can get a chippy delivered and there are so many other options available too.

Couldn't fault it, portions are excellent and great quality. We had regular kebabs served with a separate portion of salad and sauce, cheesy chips to die for and to top it all they had offer on spend over certain amount and get a free bottle of pop or a 9" garlic cheese pizza.

I've ordered from here multiple times so I can give an acurate review. Basically it's a lottery if you get OK food or food that should be thrown in the bin. My last order I ordered meal deal mixed shot 3. The chips were small and the only thing edible. We had about ten each. The pizza had hardly any topping the sause was disgusting, the pizza base was not deep pan as ordered. My chicken kabab meat looked like leftovers from the night before and we're sliced very thinly, they were dry as a bone and had no flavor, the garlic mayo ordered we didn't get and the salad had one half slice of cucumber and tomato the rest was onion and soggy lettuce. Same with the lamb kabab. Everything was cold dispite delivering within an hour. It all went in the bin and I was out of pocket £40 and I'll never order from here again. Rip off. I don't know how they dare serve food unfit for a dog. My opinion is they use leftovers from the night before because no way that food was fresh. They need new staff and or manager. Pretty bad they couldn't be bothered to send fresh quality food out with a £40 order. Our only take away in a month was probably the worst I've ever had. Unfit for human consumption

It was ok not sure if im a fan of a Chinese come chippy.

I regularly use this takeaway. Always home via delivery, it always arrives within the hour. I mainly order for Cod, chips and mushy peas, they always arrive hot and fresh and so tasty. No soggy batter that sticks to the paper wrapping. I actually find any faults which is very unusual for me! My Husband tried a Calzone pizza from here for the first time and loved it (even though he tends to be quite fussy!) I would 100% recommend this restaurant. And also people who live within the delivery area; Bolsover/Doe Lea should give them a try, support your local businesses.

Banging grub and the owner/manager is a nice guy. Don't know him but is always welcoming and enthusiastic and knows his menu back to front.

The food is good, service is good, and online ordering makes things so much easier. We use regularly 👍

Ive always ordered from here and its usually okay but tonight i ordered it took over an hour and a half ,i had to ring to find out where it was ! When it came it was cold and disgusting!! Very disappointed...

Ordered food for 10.15. Arrived 10 mins early and it was already ready. Very disappointing to find when I got it home it was lukewarm. I didn't expect it to be ready early, but if I'd got there when at the time I ordered it for it would have been stone cold. My last ever visit and order

Disgraceful and disrespectful, orders totally wrong on more than one occasion, argumentative rude staff, get told busy when deliveries dont get to you on time. And no apologies . what a shame as it could have been a half decent chippy at least the drivers got the address right ....

We have ordered from the Golden Grill more than a few times in the past 12 months. They confirm they have your order and indeed take your money but that doesn't mean you'll get what you have order. Go elsewhere would be our advice. Many times, their staff are waiting around and not doing anything. No apologizes for not having your order, oh and they will charge more.

Only recently moved to the area and thought i’d give it a try. Been to many kebab shops and I can honestly say it’s the best kebab i’ve ever eaten. The doner and the chicken shish is to die for. Cleary been in the industry for years. Would highly recommend.

Good shop not sure it's the same people that had it last time I went in which was over 5 years ago. Either way pleasantly surprised clean shop, friendly staff and the food was of a quality I would expect. Keep it up not many places do Bolognese pizza anymore and I enjoyed it. Update 240922 Ordered for a collection gave the fellow on the phone a time he said be ready in 15 minutes I said no you have an hour he said OK. I turned up no food, think they sent it elsewhere he knew who I was told me to give him 5 minutes he would make another one. I declined and won't be going back. Shame alright Pizza but had tried to organise food so everyone could eat together.

Horrible food, the kebab meat was like cardboard, the chicken kebab was like rubber, The mini fish had lots of bones in it, The Nan breads are not proper Nan breads, they are more like a tortilla wrap that is also like cardboard, by far the worst takeaway we have had in many years, binned 90% of the food. How ever the chap that served us was really nice and polite.

Best kebab shop in the area my miles. I have been using them for years now and never had a problem. The food is delicious and the staff are very helpful. The owner is also very welcoming. Great work guys 👏.

My last 4 out of 5 pizza's have made me ill.

We have been ordering for about a year now and the food has been lovely every time but the last two weeks have been horrible chips not cooked stuffed pizza wasn't stuffed just generally not nice so 1 more order and if its not like it used to be we wont be ordering again.hopefully 3rd time lucky.been beautiful every sunday till the last two weeks 😡

Ordered Cod, Chips and mushy peas. The Cod was beautiful, a large piece of Cod, the batter was lovely, light and crispy not at all greasy. Great tasting chip shop chips and we enjoyed the mushy peas. Pizza also ordered which was very much enjoyed. It took a while to arrive (1hr 15min) but worth the wait considering the quality.

Very poor! Every time we order from here the order is either wrong or takes at least double the amount of time they say over the phone. Waste of time. Definitely do no recommend!

I was the only customer in when I arrived, there were at least half a dozen staff stood around doing nothing, none seemed bothered about serving me, when I was eventually served they messed up my order, when the food arrived it was terrible, soggy batter had to be binned, greasy and horrible, thankfully a new fish and chip shop ' Chesters' are opening nearby this year, i can't wait for a decent chippy locally

Walked in to be totally ignored by the half dozen staff who were standing around doing nothing, I was finally served by a rude member of staff who got my order wrong, when I got my meal the fish batter was really greasy an had to be binned. I cannot wait for the new Chester's fish bar to open nearby, then the town can finally have a quality fish shop, it will hopefully put these clowns out of business.

Used to be great but the last few months has turned nasty. Chips are ok and pizzas not bad but the fish is vile, batter really thick and mushy and the fish strongly flavoured as though it is cheap cut or old. I used to shop here regulary and still try now as and again as its local but always end up wishing I'd gone elsewhere

Moved from Blackpool kebabi City.. Love the doner kebabs.. Mixed kebab are amazing and tonight got a 9" cheesy garlic bread along with a mixed.. Omg walking dog home my mouth was in heaven.. Love this place.. Family owned boss n brother in law and Mathew who comes play with the dog.. Lady with the dog Solomon x

There two take aways in this area and as this one is also a chip shop we chose to order from here. Although this time it was a phone order, past visits indicate a very clean establishment that’s always busy.Ordered a few items, the burger was ok, but just a cheap patty of meat. The chip shop chips were a large portion, which was just as well as a lot of the contents were crispy little chip ends or bruised and now looked like black bits in the chips. The curry sauce was way too thick. The garlic bread was ok. The disappointment was the donor kebab meat. The meat seemed well cooked but more on the under done side as it was quite rubbery (no other way to describe). The mild chilli sauce was awful, no taste and looks like the contents from a jar of baby food. All In all we ate about 50% of the chips and about 1/4 of the donor meat.

Found black hair in curly fries and the pizza was 80% tomato paste, it was very sloppy and unappealing.

food was cold, cheese on chips was just chucked on- looked like some kind of sloppy mess, chips were also hard and tired looking, probably yesterday's, only good thing to rate was the prices were reasonable and delivery was quick.
