Delivered early , food was hot and nice definately recomend will order again soon

Ordered while staying as a guest at the Village Hotel, found this online and placed our order, everything arrived as expected, the whole family enjoyed the meal, the only disappointment was the portion size of the Salt and Pepper chips, comparing it to our local where it is £3 for a larger portion, I think this was £5 for a tray which was half the size... but its a small complaint, the food was delicious. If we are ever back in this part of the country in the future, we most definitely would have this takeaway again. Only got the photo of my food and it was lovely with the curry sauce (not in photo).

Best chinese around! Omg the flavours! Especially in the new noodle boxes! Satay sauce is AMAZING! Salt and pepper chips are the best i've ever tasted but i always ask no veg. And the cantonese ribs....oh my days! ..... i don't normally eat ribs but these are a must!

The worst Chinese food I have ever had!! The chicken fried rice came is this horrible gravy like goo, the chicken chowmain had the same stuff on it! And the salt and pepper chips well what there was of them were just a box of diced onions with about 10 chips. The only thing that was nice was the curry sauce that we got for the chicken fried rice but we couldn't use it as the rice was covered in goo!!! Shocking food all just like slop!

Really enjoyed lunch at the Golden Fry great customer service, very polite chips and spicy curry was the nicest I have had in a long time. Definitely be recommending to friend and family 👍🏻👍🏻

The food was delicious and cooked well, the staff were very kind and professional when I called to ask how the rice was prepared and it was delivered slightly earlier with a really polite driver 😊 Will definitely order here again 🤤

Used to be a steady reliable place. Last few months the quality has deteriorated significantly. Hard chips, taste of old oil, something has changed and not for the better.

Put order in at 7.15pm rang to say driver was out with deliver rang back and staff said they would ring to see where he was ! Food arrived safely say will not order again sweet and sour sauce like water , dry chicken balls no taste to chicken curry soggy chips I give 1 * as you have to put something what a waste of money

The food was amazing and it was my first time ordering it and the lovely person on the phone is amazing customer service and it not even greasy I will order from there again and thank you so much

Had a meal from here tonight,it was disgusting,in all my 15+years ordering from here this is the worst ive ever had,im hoping its just a one off,got a pie dinner,the chips were hard,the pie was hard an the filling had dried up,the peas were about a teaspoon full an the gravy was non existence,very disappointing

I had the salt and pepper box (£12) and the sesame prawn toast (£5.70). Apart from the chips everything in the box was completely over cooked and dry and inedible. The prawn toast was saturated in old tasting oil. I am not a fussy eater at all but this was shocking

It's chippy so atmosphere can't say. But it does have and enjoyed an excellent reputation for many years for it's quality meals.

Absolutely amazing food from The Golden Fry in Aston by the Co op. Highly recommend, fast delivery, piping hot and full of flavour.

Quality food until you opened up after your holiday this year. Gone downhill since reopening. Chips tough and dry. Quality of oil or potatoes has changed- chippy has a horrible rancid aroma. Real shame that the old, decent chippy has gone

No problem with the food. The place looks clean enough, too. The only concern is with the prices. They'd probably make more profit by lowering their prices, increasing their turnover; because the area they are located in isn't a wealthy one.

Food arrived 20 mins after ordering which was amazingly fast. Sweet and sour king prawn was inedible. Prawns were covered in a weird jelly type substance. Went in the bin

Ordered Salt and Pepper chicken & Chips at 6.40pm Rang up 7.55pm to be told driver is on way, literally 3 minute drive. 8.30pm ring up again, told she has no idea what happened and if i want a refund. Driver pulls up and gives me this, chicken is absolutely dreadful. Worst looking and definitely doesn’t look like the Salt and pepper chicken and S&P chips I was expecting for 30quid, (another meal was half decent) Shame I had to give a 1 star as it doesn’t even deserve that. Shocking.

I am sorry to say but most of the meal actually went in the bin it was horrible arguably anly chicken in a chicken fried rice the bean sprouts were swimming and tasted vial and I have never seen the use of onions so much in my life onions and red beans sprouts and in the chicken fried rice and in the steak and kidney pie dinner I could not believe it everything was as if in all sweated it was nowhere near as good as new used to be so I'm afraid I will not be coming again sorry

Food is nice it's just the amount of curry or gravy you receive that's a let down. Got home to a bone dry tray of chips and rice, nothing worse when your starving

Extremely disappointed with Spare Ribs in Barbeque Sauce - looked and tasted undercooked, barbecue sauce looked abnormally red, thick with a layer of fat/oil on top and absolutely tasteless. I wonder if the garden wildlife will enjoy....as we didn't, what a waste of money, never again.

Very nice food..chips abit to greasy could do with draining oil more and cutting off bad bits on the chips! Good food but needs less oil and more fresher!!! Other than that very hot on arrival and driver polite. Thankyou 🙂

Always very pleasent service and lovely food

Awful good pink chicken balls, soggy chips, greasy prawn toast, the most horrendous duck in plum sauce looked absolutely vile, the best dish was the rice. So very disappointed

Until tonight was our favourite local Chinese, usually fast easy delivery or we pick up but tonight it was a bit slow. Didn’t mind as it’s probably a busy Friday, food was still hot enough too. Soup was great but our favourite salt and pepper chips were served in a smaller tray than usual and soggy rather than how they usually are crispy, well seasoned and delicious. Will probably be back but next time will order a lot less food to avoid disappointment if it’s not up to its usual standard.

Avoid, very poor quality food. Tried these a few times generally the same sevice poor, food quality terrible. Waste of money

Ordered chicken satay an it looked like a pale slop, reluctantly taste tested it and it tasted as bad as it looked. I will never visit this so called “Chinese” takeaway again. Only reason I came here was because of the Just Eat reviews and I can tell you they must be false/paid for reviews. Avoid.

Just had a meal from Jim's we've had takeaway from here for years but frozen chips now 😡 I can pop them in the oven myself won't be going here again and the chicken fried rice wasn't as nice either.

I am spending the worse few days of my life in bed after eating a chicken omelette and fried rice from the golden fry in shotton. The meal itself tasted funny, rice pale and not hot, omelette itself was awful. I spent the night in the bathroom thinking i was dying! 3 days later and still feeling the effects. Never again!! Does anyone know if i have to report this?

Small portion chips always horrible and recooked gravy Taste like Barbarque ribs the sauce does its wierd gravy not reckon mended always disappointed

We ordered beef chow main, special fried rice , prawn crackers and chips. It fed 3 of us and still had loads left over. My husband said it was the best Chinese has had in ages. We will definitely be ordering from here in the future.

I find everything a little more mild than elsewhere, curries etc but that suits many and overall food excellent, on just eat and always swift. Cant fault these guys, they are good.

Delivered 25minutes ago, in the bin 20 minutes ago! Prawn toast burnt round edges but undercooked in middle, spring rolls tasteless, main course cold and chilli chicken tasted of washing up liquid. Absolutely vile 😡

Iv'e tried a few chinese in this area. I wont be using this one again. very disappointed. half of the food did not get eaten. My biggest complaint being two meals came to a total of £12.10 plus delivery of £1.00 total bill £14.80..........Yes i know i can't work it out myself.

We Paid £24 for banquetA for 2! The Staff were friendly on phone & arrival to collect. But unfortunately the food was just not nice at all! Gelatin overload in the chicken & sweetcorn soup & the ribs were fatty and in a tasteless jelly like sauce! The Spring rolls were flat as pancakes! The Chicken & Oyster dish bland tasteless & beef in black bean sauce bland & just not nice either! I’m really sorry to be writing this but would hate anyone else to be as disappointed with their food as we were! Only decent part of meal was the prawn crackers and the special fried rice. If you’re thinking of eating here I would suggest just getting 1 meal & trying before you buy so I dont waste the money that we did!

We used to use this chinese a lot about a year ago and we used to love it but when we tried to again recently we were not impressed with the meal. The food was not very tasty and very greasy. Not ideal at all. Very rude members of staff on the phone, shouting down the phone when being asked a simple question so not exactly the best customer service either. Won't be back.

What can I say the chicken in batter was all hard batter and no chicken . Duck chow main had know duck extremely greasy and wasn't very nice at all . Maybe you should learn how to cook chinese before selling it or even to taste it before serving it to your customers.The best thing that came with the meal was the cold bottle of coke . Would I recommend you to anyone not a chance it was a total waste of money .

First time using The Golden Fry after looking online. visited the premises and the staff were extremely quick and polite when serving customers. The food was a bigger portion than expected and was fantastic!

I ordered from here last night and it was so Good, my delivery arrived half a hour early so that was quite good. The portions are huge and the food was lovely. Very reasonable prices.

I have never had a sweet and sour chicken balls delivered already in the sauce , soggy and disgusting. The egg fried rice was dark brown and don’t get me started on the chicken chow mein . Threw the lot in the bin ! Gutted as it was a treat on a Saturday night £22 in the bin

Always hot. Delivery is great. Food is always nice. Worth the extra mileage as far better than the Chinese where I live.

Have had both Chinese and fish n chips and was disappointed each time. Not worth the visit. Fish n chips were greasy, batter was oily and fish was dry. Chinese food was of poor quality.

Absolutely discusting and not what I ordered and when I rang to inform them I it a gob full!! Will never order from here again! !

He tenido una comida para llevar de chippy numerosas veces. La calidad de la comida es normal y el tamaño de la porción es pobre. El servicio es bastante lento, incluso cuando no es demasiado concurrido. No hay mucho que decir en realidad - yo no iría allí cuando hay mejor "fish and chips".

This is the best quality Chinese take away in Deeside by far. The food is always nice, hot and the place is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and even delivery is quick. Would recommend.

my husband was in the area as we live near mold so he popped in for two takeaways for our supper.it was the first time he had been in there I had a duck and pineapple with fried rice and he had a duck chow mein. thay where the nicest Chinese takeaways I have had for a long time we will be back for more.many thanks

He tenido unas cuantas comidas diferentes aquí y nunca he estado 100% contento o contenta con ellos. Las comidas son siempre demasiado grasienta y tiendo a sentir fuera después.
