Lovely food 5* staff are lovely, favourite Chinese in the town. Easily good value for money big portions had some left to keep in fridge for next day

Never disappoints. Great food and service, you really couldn’t want for any better. They cook everything from fresh so modifications to a dish are easy. Been coming here for years now and always consistently good.

I ordered over the phone and Debbie was lovely so helpful advised delivery would probably be about an hour. My delivery arrived on time delivery man was very nice and the food was delicious thanks to Debbie for helping me decide. I would definitely recommend the Golden Dragon to anyone. First class service + food. 😋😊

Its become a stable diet since lock-down. The food here never fails to impress me even now on delivery it comes hot and just as yummy!

Having not eaten here for many years we heard good things about this place by word of mouth. We were delighted to find that local recommendation was on target. Lots of choice if you go in at 5pm. You have 3 menus to chose from. The early bird is good value at £10.50 for 2 courses. Having chosen from the high tea menu I would recommend the Udon noodles with XO sauce. Starter of salted ribs/wings combo is also worth a mention. £39 for 2 courses for 2 people, beers and coffees. This is great value. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Our usual local Chinese was closed for a week, so we decided to give this a try on the basis of good reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the menu is more limited than we expected. Unfortunately the food was hugely disappointing - all 3 sauces tasted like they were from a jar, the fried rice was mediocre and the meat appeared to be pre-cooked and reheated. Obviously there are lots of good reviews, so maybe we just picked a bad night, but sadly I don’t think we’ll be back.

After a long drive round coast,what better reward than a meal here? Special two course meal deal until 8.30pm every day at 11.50 stg. Prawn cocktail with kiwi and strawberry. Superb. Beef curry with boiled rice. As good a curry around. Followed by a coffee with cream. Well worth a visit.

We chose this restaurant on the recommendation of a local resident and we were not disappointed. The service was efficient and the food very good. Just one tip: If you don't know where it is look it up on Google Maps, it is not the easiest place to find.

We eat in here several times every year and are never disappointed with the the food quality and quantity. This restaurant has been established for many years now and the number of local people who eat in here speaks volumes for it. All food is cooked from fresh so to amend your order to your specific taste is never going to be an issue. The waiting staff are always happy to ensure you get exactly what you want. I always look forward to when we visit, and my expectations are always exceeded. It really is worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Such friendly and pleasant staff. Decent prices and we all enjoyed our meals. We usually get a take outs from here so knew it was pretty decent. Kids loved it too! No complaints from us.

Curry not great. Chicken tough. Beef chewy. Chicken wings soggy. Won't be back. This used to be a real good Chinese.

Best take away for a long time with service present and fast. I was recommended the golden Dragon by my son it's hard to find if you don't know the area but the sat nav got is there and will deff be back

I hate your old daughter was looking for For Chinese food while we’re on holiday near Coleraine. Found this local Chinese restaurant where the food was very good the service was prompt and very friendly a great time had by all. Will be back.

I have dinned here many times,always great food served by friendly staff, this time I ordered by phone a fantastic take away meal, it was promptly delivered to my house, piping hot and tasting just as good as it would of been if I dined in the restaurant , I will be doing this more often

This would be our local chinese and definitely the best around Coleraine. A bit more expensive than other chineses' but worth the money.

Just been treated to a superb night for my 50th birthday, Debbie and everyone made it a memorable night I can't thank them enough. You should give it a try.

We went to the Golden Dragon for tea last night and it was lovely I ordered the duck rolls to start and they were gorgeous then I had chicken fried rice yummy My husband had ribs to start and then shezshwan chicken with what he calls the best garlic chips in town The waitresses are great They will do anything for you Really good

Went on Saturday, had a great time. Had family visiting they really enjoyed the place.Debbie and staff were brilliant very attentive the food was great. if your going out to eat you should give the Golden Dragon a try.

Best Chinese around. The food is so fresh and tasty. Sit in restaurant is lovely and friendly. Highly recommended! Get the chilli ribs!!!!

We just had the two course offer for £9.50 pp. A choice of starters and main course and a good size of helpings considering the price.

The food is always great. The staff are always friendly. Anytime we visit the staff are always attentive, nothing is ever a problem.

Mi novia y salir a cenar y me sorprendió el restaurante sirve comida después de las 10:00 pm. . Nos diner no estaba mal, pero el clima de este restaurante está deprimido. . . La comida no estaba mal y cuando llegamos era muy tarde. . ... asi que por eso le doy 4 estrellas. . . .

Costó encontrar este, ya que hay señales fuera! En realidad es justo detrás de un italiano para llevar. Sólo lo encontramos incluso después de parar en una tienda para indicaciones por notando en un tipo chino adornos en el alféizar. En vez de un lugar extraño. Reino Unido camareras que estaban bien, pero tendía a comida y bebida justo en la mesa en vez de lugar. Podía ver la cocina que parecía tener chefs chinos. Comida servida rápidamente y era muy aceptable, pero nada especial. Entrante y plato principal en una oferta especial sobre £12 CREO o ir a la carta. Tan pronto como nos sirve a nosotros los platos fueron tomadas - sin preguntar si queríamos terminar la salsa en el plato. Las placas también ocupaban rápidamente - tenía 2 campos en 35 minutos y un montón de mesas vacías, así que no eran ocupados. probaría en otro hotel la próxima vez

Hemos disfrutado de un gran número de estupendas comidas aquí cuando volvamos a visitar a la familia. Buena relación calidad-precio genial de precio y servicio un ambiente cálido y agradable. Sin duda recomiendo una visita.

about a year ago me and my sister used to visit almost every week for the deal they had on, although i cant remember what it was i just know that it was fab value for money. there was never an excessive wait on food and it was always delicious and wonderfuly presented, must say we havent been in a while but a return visit is in order very soon

Had out of here tonight with my partner absolutely beautiful couldn't fault it at all nicest had in a long time the cow me in was just how I asked for it and the honey chili is class deffo best Chinese in town

Have been using this establishment for years,have never had a bad meal,the food is Brillant,even for a Chinese restaurant they do the best version of a European mixed grill I've ever tasted and the home made garlic chips are to die for.

The food has so much flavor in it, definitely the best Chinese in the area and is a really reasonable price

never ever will i be back in this restaurant! I can honestly say its the worst experience i've had in a restaurant in a long long time. Myself and my boyfriend along with another couple thought it would be nice to come here for a meal, we went in and straight away we noticed the service was poor, we were showed to our table without any conversation from the waiter, she did not have the right attitude at all. We ordered a starter and a main course each. It took over half an hour for our starters to come, when they did, they were not great. Although one in particular (satay chicken skewers) was a joke, 3 skewer sticks came with one very tiny bit of chicken on the end of each stick... wouldn't even class this as a starter!! We then waited 50 minutes on our main courses coming, we were going to leave until the waiterress came and told us our food would only be 5 more minutes! (the restaurant wasn't even busy!!) Another family opposite us were ready to also get up and just leave. My boyfriend was sitting facing the kitchen, and he looked in at one point to see one of the chef's standing eating and another two standing just talking, as you can imagine this is not what you want to see after waiting 50 minutes!! Eventually when our meal came, once again the service wasn't great! Although the food was just terrible!! none of us enjoyed our meal, the food wasn't even that warm! we started to eat it anyway as we were all starving but it tasted horrible, so not one of us finished our meal. we were so fed up waiting and disappointed with the food and service, we just wanted to leave. so when the waitress's came to lift our plates and noticed we had barely ate they asked if there was anything wrong with the food, since it wasn't their fault the food was horrible, without being cheeky we told them the food wasn't nice at all and we didn't enjoy it one bit, and they didn't even have the decency to say "sorry about that" they never said a word and just walked away with the plates. We then paid and left, to later on get a dominos as we were still hungry! This review may sound harsh but it is simply the truth and wouldn't advise anyone to even waste their time or money in this restaurant!!

I went here with friends, we didn't need to pre book, everyone enjoyed their meal and left satisfied. The restaurants decor is the typical Chinese

Have eaten here on numerous occasions, most recent last night. The food was delicious as usual and the staff very friendly.

Not bad chinese food, good for a girls' night out or a family get together. Jury is out on the decor though, guess that sort of thing is pretty subject to personal taste...

We attended a birthday party in the Golden Dragon and although I had heard good reports about it was very disappointed with what we got. We were seated when the full party arrived and told abruptly to "get your order ready as we're busy". There was only about another 15 folk in the restaurant we were not offered kiddies menu and server pulled a face when asked for them. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. Nearly 3/4 of an hour later two out of the 8 meals arrived. after another 15 mins the rest gradually followed. One of the party did not get what they ordered and had to make do with what was brought out as was told there would be a wait of about another 20-30 minutes before another dish could be prepared. My son asked where the 3 kiddies meals were again a face was pulled before the server trotted off and eventually brought them to the table. Kiddies meals were the best value of the the lot and most appetising. The curries looked like something out a sewer and the chicken balls were small (4) each and swimming in cheap watered down sweet and sour sauce. I had asked could I have the sauce separate as sometimes I do not like the sweet and sour sauce. When the meal came server nearly spilt the sauce over me while leaving down my plate as it was so full of sauce and the sauce was so watery. The chicken fried rice portions were like cardboard and only 5 pieces of small chicken in one of the dishes. We had to ask for the additional sauces as they had not been placed and there was a debate about a portion of chips which we apparently had not ordered but then agreed we had. A male server came and did try to sort out the mess but to no avail as it was too little too late. Staff were walking around doing little except chatting amongst each other. We were also asked on 4/5 occasions if we had finished when it was clear some of the party had not. First served were nearly finished before last ones were served. Staff kept trying to "hurry us up" as they gave impression they wanted rid of us. Service was a disaster, food was bland and tasteless and orders were mixed up and staff just didnt care. Prices were average meals were small. None of our party would consider returning nor recommend here. The impression my friend got was that they were concentrating more on the take aways than on the actual customers in the restaurant. Customer service left a lot to be desired. There was another complaint from a table a bit down from us who eventually walked out. They had been in before us but I dont know if they had ordered before us or not but we were served first. Staff didnt really seem to care there was a problem or deal with it. Staff did not seem capable of dealing with a large group of more than 2 at a time and kitchen were not able to send more than 2-3 dishes out together. Our whole party left very disappointed and when colleague pointed it out as we were leaving we were not happy staff never replied.

Had a meal here on the first night in Coleraine and have to say we were about to leave after waiting nearly an hour for our food,there were not exactly a crowd in so i asked twice would it take much longer, got no answer just a shrug of the shoulders and away, second time i asked i said we were leaving as this was not good enough, she ran to the kitchen and 5 mins later our food arrived,food was good and hot but we will not be visiting again.

Ne soyez pas surpris par la devanture peu soignée de l'établissement, l'on y mange bien et l'absence de licence pour les boissons alcoolisés fait que vous pouvez y apporter vos propres bouteilles (que personnellement j'achetais au Tesco juste à côté). Le seul reproche que j'ai à faire concerne cette abominable porte d'entrée qui n'a pas de "stoppeur" pour éviter qu'elle claque toutes les 2 minutes, l'établissement faisant aussi de la vente à emporter populaire dans le coin. La déco est plus que sommaire, mais les plats sont copieux et bien présentés et le rapport qualité prix plus que correct. Je le conseille à mes compatriotes francophones en mal de bonne chaire.

I've had numerous takeaways from here over the years and it has always been pretty good food but last week I sat in for a meal for the first time. On arrival we were told that it would take around half an hour before our food would be served as they were busy, we said that was fine, sat down and ordered our meal. The first problem was how cold the restaurant was! My friend had to wear her coat for majority of the time we were in there and we were all sitting shivering throughout the entire time we were there. The staff obviously new it was freezing as they had provided a small heater for the table beside us, however; it was absolutely tiny and barely provided any heat. The second problem was that we waited far longer than 30 minutes before receiving any food. We ordered starters in the hope that they wouldn't take too long to prepare and would keep us going if there was a long wait until our main meal. However; it took nearly an hour before our starters were served and by this stage we were all starving (hungry and cold). After the starters, it then took another 30/40 minutes before our main was served. It would have been more understandable if the restaurant was really busy but there was literally two other tables in the place. I think they pay more attention to the take away orders rather than the customers in the restaurant. However; even from my experiences with the take away service, their time keeping is pretty bad. Most times they tell me the food will be ready in 30 mins, so I arrive approximately 30 minutes after ordering the food and then I have to wait an additional 15 minutes at least. After giving them a few chances I don't think i'll be back to this chinese. The only up side is that the food is decent.

Used 2 love this place lasr time I ate in it u cud wring the oil outta the chips and fried rice kids plates was swimmin in oil wasnt very nice the curry gad tasted as if it was of r sumfing not rite abt it and the chicken balls boke boke boke they were black wasnt chicken in it I dont fink never b bad here again

Don't be put off by the rather than appealing entrance. Step inside and the restaurant area is really fresh and clean. Theres a really good choice of food on the menu and you can always be assured of a very tasty and hearty meal. There are loads of special offers, like 2 courses for £8:50. We had 2 prawn cocktails and 2 Chicken Kung Po. They prepared both the Kung Po mains slightly differently for us, as we had requested. One was served with rice and the other with chips. Excellent value at £17:00. Friendly and helpful staff look after your every need. The chefs in the kitchen are on view from the dining area. Great food, great value, and great service. The takeaway end was also busy the whole time we were there, which is always a good sign of a great Chinese.

This is one of the best Chinese take aways on the North Coast. Plenty of good size chicken pieces in the curries etcFood cooked to order and made freshly in front of you Really good food !!

Wouldn't go anywhere else for a Chinese, absolutely brilliant every time. Brilliant food, reasonably priced and great service from a family run business!

Always go here for Chinese take-out although they also have a lovely restaurant if you prefer to sit in. Food is always cooked fresh and their currys are big enough for two. Good food and very clean.
