Just another Chinese takeaway, can't make chips and everything tastes of Chinese curry

Only ordered salt and pepper chips, was up all night and next day throwing up, was given food poisoning, will not go near again. Have heard similar stories from others aswell

Best Chinese in the area, we go every Saturday for our family take away night. Food is always great, staff are friendly.

I don't use this Chinese very often but my family said the food was really nice. Service was very matter of fact, not really served with a smile. The atmosphere was like just please serve me fast so I can get out of here. Don't know if our timing was just bad but full of very disrespectful young lads, messing around and taking the .......

Terrible place. Staff rude and uninterested! Waited 45 minutes in the shop for our order to be cooked! Others were getting their order whilst we waited and they had ordered after us! Food wasn't great but the portions were large. We paid £1.50 extra for noodles with one of meals and didn't get them at all! Totally ripped off. Avoid.

Been here a couple of time the food was amazing and the price are unbeatable.

So disappointing the food was not edible the sweet and sour chicken balls was full of grease the dipping sauce had a burnt taste to it the house mix fried rice tasted like it was burnt the satay was bland the chips pie and gravey was poor the ribs was bland very very disappointed it should be amazing for the price of £40 not happy

Love the beef in black pepper, all the meals are excellent, great staff and service

Ordered 128 for £7 Absolute banging food, best Chinese I've had. Perfectly seasoned and flavoured throughout perfect balance of beansprouts and pepper to accomode roast chicken and roast pork in soy sauce. I recommend especially, as it comes with boiled rice or chips. Banging value. Who ever is the chef, probs to you, keep going...

Wouldn't eat anything from here whilst sober.

Called in for a portion of chips and a carton of rice and curry sauce, both were nicely cooked and good flavour to the curry sauce.

Great local Chinese takeaway. The food is always perfectly cooked and seasoned well.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of their I depth menu of chinese and Thai and English meals.

Salt and pepper chips with fish...mmmm the best from here.

Pre-ordered for collection and part of order was missing despite being charged. Food quality and taste is average.

Nice chips but i haven't eaten anything else from there.

I ordered fish, chips & peas, the fish tasted strange like it was cooked in a weird batter and tasted like it had been reheated. My friend asked for her curry to be placed over her chips n peas but they poured it over the fish. But, having said all that their Chinese foods maybe excellent I haven't tried it, but fish n chips...I don't recommend!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Food very poor. Chips very greasy and has been kept warm too long, fish was also greasy and undercooked with very hard batter.

Turkey on a stick... The turkey was red... Umm Turkey is a white meat?! The spring rolls were nice.

Our regular chippy, and it's a rare find in that it's a Chinese chippy open on a Tuesday (the usual day off for most Chinese restaurants). Definitely a welcome destination on a day you don't want to cook yourself! Decent chips, and the Chinese food itself is always fine too.

Just been to this chippy got a portion of chips and gravy & a sausage for lo went to the park to eat it bit into something what I can only describe as hard gritty and sharp had to take it out of my mouth then I found a big piece of bone in my gravy I took it back to the shop politely said to the lady that I had found bone in my food to which she started shouting saying it was scrap from the chip tray! It clearly wasn’t I no what scraps are told her it was definitely bone! She started to break the bone up into smaller pieces telling me it was scrap! I scrap is not black it was bone! Explained it had put me off and that I could no longer eat it to which she replied well you’ve nearly finished anyway!! I had about a quarter left and half sausage my friend also bought stuff and left half of hers because it had put her off!! I didn’t get offered anything else or a refund she just threw it in the bin.i said to my it tasted like bbq ribs sauce and that it was really nice! They clearly cook the spare ribs in with the gravy or something!! She definitely did not want to give me a refund or anything else which is disgusting!!!

A good Chinese chippy serves both Chinese and English food

I use this chippy regularly, its what it is, has a comprehensive menu, take away only, the staff are friendly, seems clean and tidy. Open most nights till late, you can park on the street opposite at night. Used by locals, busy at peak times but the staff are usually quite efficient and polite, reasonably priced.
