Food was brilliant and our server James was great!

Had a very nice lunch here with my son.

We were walking by on a Saturday evening and decided to try this restaurant - and glad we did! The food was so lovely and the portions were excellent. The table service was spot on, we were never waiting long for anything. We would definitely return :)

Excellent restaurant with friendly service, a nice hidden gem for your steaks and seafood. Our son treated us to Golden Bull before going to university. We have never been (or heard) to this place before, but the service was top notch; friendly and attentive. We've ordered the king prawn garlic and helumi sticks for starters. The prawns were large and muscular, taste was spot on - reminds us been on holiday in Spain. Main courses were steak and seafood, again, everything were cooked to perfection. In fact, 1 of the best steak I've had this year, and will replace our regular (Miller and Carter's) next time we need some nice steaks. Overall, highly recommended restaurant and service was excellent. Well done, we'll definitely be back again.

Last minute booking and staying at Pennyhill Park so not spoilt for food but didn’t want to eat there and ventured to the Golden Bull. Asked if they would also take two dogs which was considered but not the normal so maybe we were lucky. Welcomed in and seated at the back of the restaurant which is preferred by ourselves. Service was quick and ordered drinks and short bone tomahawk for 2. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the wine (photo of the bottle which is a mark of good wine by my wife) I had the Ashahi. As a Saffa I put it to Jack (Server) that medium rare and that I know how a steak should be done - Jack accepted the statement and assured we wouldn’t be disappointed. It was cooked perfectly, great seer and crust and the fries were crispy and hot. Sides were veg with feta with beef jus and blue cheese sauce. All was delicious and not a mouthful was left. Finished with Banoffi which was top notch and great finish. So far 5 stars ***** The star of the meal though was Jack - chatty, funny and recommended dishes well. It’s not a comparison to the michelllin starred Pennyhill Park Hillfield restaurant as the meal at the Golden Bull exceeded on every level. Service, quality, quantity, ambiance and choice of cuts and price. Cheers Golden Bull and big shout out to Jack. We may even go again tomorrow :)

This is a buzzing place with a good atmosphere if you are not looking for a quiet meal. The food is fantastic, the team very accommodating and service is prompt. A place we will be going back for a special occasion.

I take my mum out most Sunday's from Aldershot to Reading, trying new places all the time. Our Sunday lunch today was the best so far, from the service from our waiter 'Jack', to the food quality, and even the manager being hands on was good to see. A great experience all round. Huge compliments to the chef, waiters, and management.

Outstanding service, food and people. Andi my sever was fantastic and whole experience would not of been better. We will be back.

We ended up visiting last night, we was meant to go to miller and carter for my birthday but my mother in law booked it for the wrong day 😂 my sister in law managed to find the Golden bull and they managed to fit in our table of 7 straight away and omg honestly it was the best mistake my mother in law has ever made we had the best time and I dare to say all of us preferred our food here to miller and carter the steak was lovely the beef dripping was the best I’ve ever had and the service was a bar above anywhere I have been for a long time all the staff where amazing the best experience ever thank you for making my birthday perfect we will be back

Had a great experience at the Golden Bull . Food was good, but the best experience came from the beautiful surroundings and ambience and the best waitress ever - Andi!! What a total professional in every way.. Andi epitomises what great customer service looks like - what an asset!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want somewhere to eat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My partner and I were served by Kyle. He was great and very attentive. I will be returning on the merits of service alone. Both the fillet and rib-eye steaks were ordered and cooked perfectly to the requested temperatures. As much as we would have liked to have sampled the dessert menu, we were both full and very happy with everything. Thank you for a great experience

Blindley booked the golden bull as I'd never heard of it and what a result! From the second we arrived we were taken care of. I haven't had such good service in years. It was my husbands promotion and we wanted to celebrate as a family so took our 3 children with us. Teens and an 8 year old. They were made to feel special by Paulo who recommend items off the menu. My teen daughter loved her virgin mojito. Thank you for a lovley experience.

I recently visited this restaurant and was left quite disappointed. While the ambiance was pleasant and inviting, the overall experience was overshadowed by some questionable practices. The food was average at best, nothing remarkable. The service, though adequate, was also just average. What really soured the experience was the surprise at the end of the meal — a 20% food tax that was not mentioned anywhere beforehand. On top of this, they still expected a tip, which felt excessive after being hit with such a high surcharge. Unfortunately, these hidden charges left me feeling like the restaurant prioritizes squeezing more money out of customers rather than providing good value. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re comfortable with paying significantly more than you expect.

An excellent dining experience and brilliant service. This place is surrounded by generic chains but is in fact an independent restaurant. The difference really shows. The quality of the food and ingredients was noticeable and the server's (Robbie) knowledge on ingredients was 100%. Skip the chains in Camberley and eat here instead.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious. Peppercorn sauce was amazing, Could drink shots with it. Great service from Vlad, very friendly but yet professional. Not in our area, but definitely will be back as this place is must to visit for steak lovers.

Had lunch for 5 people today - on the whole good but somethings adverse. Our starters were generally all good - I was a little concerned over the colour of my scallops - possibly a little underdone for fear of over-frying - but everything else was very tasty as was the chorizo. The mains were, but see later, good but it was odd that two identical dishes (chicken burger) had fries served in different dishes - one large portion and one small - possibly one was served as if it was part of the menu fixe rather than a la carte. My issue was with the sirloin steak. The menu was very helpful for those who do not know how to order how well they wish their steak cooked and, as restaurants vary, I followed that guidance and requested medium. It was served medium rare - or possibly even less - so that I had to ask for the thickest part to be cooked further. This was done without any fuss but for an 8oz steak that cost £28.50, this was a little disappointing. Additionally, the steak had a slightly unpleasant "rawness" in smell and taste - possibly because of being cooked to medium rare. Our server was very helpful - particular about potential allergies (of which one of our party suffers). I have given a low score for atmosphere only because it was lunchtime and there were few customers - I'm sure it could be buzzing at the weekends. We came to this restaurant as one of our party had been recently and they had a 5 star experience.

I have been meaning to review for the longest while. When we have visited they have never disappointed. The service and food is great, they have good deals as well. The kids friendly, they loved it and they were patient with my niece as she couldn’t decide what she wanted. Worth the visit, would definitely recommend and we will be back

Food was all amazing, but just had one steak that was accidentally not cooked to liking and not the best quality cut. Best burger I’ve ever had. Jack was an incredible waiter that was absolutely hilarious, read the atmosphere very well for the table, and was extremely attentive. Great guy! Don’t miss out!

came for lunch with kids on the weekend. food and service was really good. Little bit pricey but quality of food is justified. Just a note if you sit by the window and there are people smoking outside it will come through. we moved because of this. no big deal.

Excellent service and perhaps the best fillet steak I’ve ever had! Our server, Nika, was very attentive and her service felt personal and thoughtful. Looking forward to coming back!

The Golden Bull provided an unexpectedly pleasant experience. The restaurant is centrally located in a shopping center, which at first glance doesn't necessarily promise much atmosphere. The location in a busy pedestrian zone with many other restaurants makes the competition strong. From the outside it seems rather inconspicuous, but as soon as you enter, this impression changes. Inside, the restaurant impresses with a stylish and inviting atmosphere. It's modern and well furnished, although not luxurious - it just doesn't have that little extra, like cloth napkins, for a full 5-star rating. Nevertheless, it is a very successful and pleasant environment for a restaurant of this type, which is why the ambience gets 4 stars. The highlight of the meal was definitely my deluxe burger, which was absolutely outstanding - one of the best burgers I've ever had in the UK. My friend had a classic burger, which she found tasty but not exceptional. Overall, the food gets a solid 4 stars. However, the service was the real highlight. Our waitress was extremely attentive, friendly and took care of every detail. When I was unsure what to do with a particular sauce, she noticed immediately and came to help - simply excellent. Therefore the service gets a deserved 5 stars. Overall, Golden Bull offers a solid dining experience with outstanding service and good food, especially for burger lovers. The restaurant definitely still has potential, but it is already a recommended address.

The restaurant has a cozy ambiance. Food is remarkably delicious. Had the 16oz ribeye and the banoffee pie which are incredibly delectable! Paulo has been so attentive and had very good service from him. He goes way beyond what’s expected and accommodated us really well. This restaurant is highly recommended if you are looking for a high rated place in Camberley. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wasn’t particularly impressed with my food choices (Loaded Nachos - flavourless cheese & my Barata salad was too oily for me) but hubby and son LOVED theirs! Especially the Chateaubriand! Our waiter was sweet if a little precocious - but I am old fashioned !!

I had a lovely mackerel pate. That was so yummy for my starter. Then had rump steak and chips. Chips were lovely but the rump steak was too fatty. Low quality rump steak. I get a better rump steak from Costco but, we had sweet and because the steak was not good they gave us our sweets for nothing which they did not have to do but was much appreciated. All in all I will go back again as the food generally is very good. Very pleasant waitress. Don't know her name but she was very nice to me and my wife. Thankyou. Finally my creme brulee was a bit bland with no taste of vanilla which I've had before but I can try another sweet next time.

I recently visited Golden Bull for lunch and had an exceptional dining experience. We opted for both the lunch menu and the set menu, and from start to finish, everything was delightful. Our waiter, Paulo, provided outstanding service. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and showed true dedication to his job. Paulo ensured that we were well taken care of and maintained the restaurant's cleanliness to a high standard, which added to the pleasant dining environment. The food was nothing short of fantastic. We started with the cream mushrooms, a baked mushroom dish topped with rich, flavorful cheese. It was a delicious and satisfying way to begin our meal. For the main courses, we tried the rib-eye, rump steak, and sea bass. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The rib-eye and rump were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the sea bass was fresh, cooked just right, and free from any unpleasant fishy odor. The dishes were served at the ideal temperature, and the seasoning was well-balanced, highlighting the natural flavors without overpowering them. For dessert, we enjoyed the brownie, crème brûlée, and profiteroles. All three were outstanding—rich in chocolate flavor, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to our meal. Our lunch at Golden Bull was a truly wonderful experience. The combination of excellent service, especially from Paulo, and the delicious offerings from both the lunch and set menus made it a meal to remember. We will definitely be returning!

Steak and blue cheese sauce was banging, as was the after 8 mint cocktail - tasted like mint aero! Robbie was lovely, as was the blonde lady with glasses who took our order.

Some off the food was a little of a let down especially for the prices all a little slow to arrive although clearly cooked to order. The service however was outstanding absolutely first rate

Great food, meat cooked perfectly. It was about £150 for me and my wife with a bottle of relatively standard bottle of wine, so certainly not a cheap meal out!

My Grandson and myself had the most wonderful meal at the Golden Bull. We had steaks, which were cooked to perfection and my Grandson said that it was the best steak he had ever eaten - which is praise indeed! The ambience in the restaurant was perfect and an experience which we will repeat. My apologies for not remembering the name of our waiter, but he was fabulous - so friendly, but still respecting our privacy. Service was perfect. I cannot praise the restaurant highly enough. Wonderful!

We went to the Golden Bull for a celebratory family meal. Some of the group had already been there and it came highly recommended. What a treat. A very friendly welcome from the staff and the place was spotless. There is lovely decor and the tables are nicely spaced from one another. A couple of the party had special dietary needs - not a problem. All the food was exceptional and a decent portion too. Our waiter was very friendly and made sure our experience was a great one. A fabulous restaurant.
