Amazing turkish food with excellent customer service

One of the waiters, Ms. Zeynep, is from Bulgaria and treated us very well. She is a very ladylike person and knows her job very well. We were really pleased.

Horrific. Went for breakfast only to met with angle riders and sparks flying in the restaurant. When i asked if we had to listen to the noise he said NO then I asked when it would be finished was I don't know. Walked out and went to Kervans church street and had an amazing brunch

Tasty food and service, and probably one of the best turkish restaurants around. It is expensive but worth it when the whole family enjoys the food and surroundings.

“I recently visited Gökyüzü Restaurant with a large group of around 25-35 people, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for all of us. We were advised to order a platter priced at either £85 or £83, but when the bill arrived, we were each charged £99 instead. At the end we paid 150£ This was unexpected and seemed unfair, especially since several others in our group were also charged extra without explanation. When I tried to discuss the discrepancy with the manager, there was little interest in addressing our concerns. The service throughout was subpar, and we felt neglected. Furthermore, the food portions were very small, especially for the price we paid. This experience left us all feeling unhappy and dissatisfied. I hope the restaurant considers improving both their customer service and transparency in pricing to avoid situations like this in the future.”

Busy. Good food but beware the large portions!

Went for the birth party the food was great. It took hardly 10 min for the starters and mian to come. Great place enjoyed my visit and food

Can't go wrong with this place. They have a few branches and they all deliver the same quality food every time. So firstly, we got seated within a couple of minutes despite it being very busy (no prior booking was necessary). Ordered out food and drinks and within minutes got served some Turkish bread, salad and dips. Also, the manager was very kind to get my daughter some chips when we asked. (THANK YOU). Mains arrived! Massive full platter for 3 people they recommend. Everything was spot on. Plenty of rice and meat. The wings and ribs were my favourite, perfectly chared and flavours were great. The atmosphere is very live and busy. Lots going on, but still nice and classy. Staff were friendly and attentive. Also offered free Turkish tea on the house but we was too full to accept. A little bit on the pricy side but I think still worth it. Parking available on site with decent amount of space. Overall very pleased with the service and food l. Definitely recommend a visit.

Updated review: I have now dined in multiple times and always had great experience both in terms of quality of food and customer service. Original review: Best kunafe I've ever had. Only popped in for quick dessert, so I can't review the main menu food, but based on today's experience, I'll definitely give it 5 stars. Good location, plenty of free parking spaces, excellent service. Will be definitely coming back.

Ordered sharing mixed grill platter for 2 adults and 2 young kids. More than enough food portion wise. Spent just under £85. Been here few times before. I always want to love the food because venue looks great but the mixed grill is just bland and flavourless. The heating is also on full blast. I had to take my child down to their vest it was so warm. We went on the 2nd of November and temperature was warm out. Ruined experience as children were uncomfortable. Two reasons I won't be visiting again. If a good flavoursome mixed grill is wha you're after then this isn't the place. Also no hummus or olives served with bread, salad and tzatziki/cacik.

What a gem.This Turkish restaurant is almost hidden away on the north Circular Road near the crooked billet at Chingford. We went for lunch and wern't disappointed, it was excellent, beautifully presented, we chose the lunchtime menu. Reasonably priced too. What lovely staff they have, we will certainly go again next time we are in the area.

Delicious Turkish food, nice staff, large place, and most importantly plenty of parking places. Just off the north circular. Too loud music for my liking.

This restaurant gives Brilliant customer service and decent dining experience, the food was really fresh and hot , I m vegetarian so i have limited options to eat so i tried especially there "Mixed mezzo mix" it was really amazing taste and the presentation was really fantastic i love the food ... Everything was 10/10 ,and worth it, prices are really affordable and the plus point is u don't need to worry about parking definitely recommend this place 👍

I've visited this place six times, mostly for gatherings I've been invited to. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff serving tables hasn't been great. In my opinion, they've been unfriendly, and on one occasion, I found them quite rude when they removed food from the table before I had finished my meal. It left me a bit shocked. The atmosphere feels cold, as does the venue itself, and I often get the sense that they want you to finish up and leave quickly. Personally, it wouldn't be my choice for a large group gathering or any other occasion. The food is okay, but I've noticed the portions are getting smaller each time.

I love this restaurant, and visit it quite often when in London for work. It's not the cheapest but the portions are huge and the food always tastes amazing. The easy parking also helps as there's barely any parking anywhere else in Walthamstow/Chingford.

Very upset that I had to write this review as this is the place I always come to when I have large groups to dine with. I have always had good service & lovely food, but on this occasion the waiter (claimed he was the manager), who served us was very immature & unprofessional. When you spend over £460 & they refuse to give you Turkish tea at the end you know he had an attitude problem. The service was appalling & will never return to this restaurant. Even though we usually have an event here every other month. Plenty of decent Turkish restaurants around

There were 30 of us and we spent near £500 and the staff treated us like dirt. They will probably reply to this and pretend they are concerned with my review. It is a real shame as none of the 30 people who were there will ever attend, all because of rubbish and disrespectful service.

Amazing food like they have very good chicken but the only bad things is that they can’t make any chicken or hot food in the morning at 1 A-clock

Nice but pricey, been going for years

Went here for a pre wedding meal for a family friend tonight. There were about 25 of us. They accommodated us well and service was amazing. I have been to the Park Royal branch and can say their food and service here is spot on just like the Park Royal branch. Thank you.

We ordered 1 chicken shish kebab and 1 mix kebab. They are well cooked, well seasoned. The meat is tender. The staff are attentive.

Normally really good. Today cold food served. Not sure if left too long to be served. Cold plates won't have helped. Would expect better for the price. Bread unseasoned and thick / doughy. Shame. They have cracked the formula here but let down by little things.

Live local to this restaurant the service has gone down the drain. Last 2 visits got the order wrong complained to the waiter they simply walked around talking to each other. Last visit over the weekend wasn’t hugely busy but again some food came and later complained we are waiting for items waiters said yes and nothing 20 minutes later gave up. Better places to eat locally 1 star.

It's not my first time in this place and it's always top top top plates of the delicious food. The restaurant is big and busy with a nice outside sitting area. Highly recommend.

Went with my family and had a full platter (£60) at lunch-time. Food was nice but had better donner meat elsewhere. Not happy with the service charge (£6) added to the bill. I then queried at the till and they removed it reluctantly with a grumpy face. We were only 3 people and yet they slapped a service charge without our permission! The place is big and has a posh atmosphere. Lots of free parking.

This restaurant has changed a lot staff members smile more than often , the music inside is perfect the tables the chairs are always clean very hygienic. The manager is the best he always takes care of his staff members and his customers

Great selection of Turkish delicacies to choose from. Resistant embodiment is refined, airy, spacious with a modern touch. I ordered the lamb chips with rice along with the platter for the others with me. I had pleasant experience and great customer service was shown. A modern restaurant with a great view around the seating area. Would highly recommend.

The reason I give one star is I’ve been here couple of years back that’s why I booked all my family for dinner 12 people we find hair in the food. The food was cold. The stuff was selfish specially the guy with the white shirt in charge upstairs view once we got there there was plenty space in downstairs. They took us upstairs. It was depressing got disappointed, not recommend at all. It’s wasting your money also they charge 10% service charge for what I asked why I need to pay for that if this all and he replied, it’s compulsory you have to pay

It is declining, I have been eating at the restaurant for years, I can see the standards declining in terms of quality, quantity and level of service. If it continues like that, they will lose many loyal customers because they lost me already.

30 person party. £90 large mixed grills ordered. Unfortunately they were all a little overcooked and the meat was chewy especially the ribs. The kebab was hard and burnt on edges. Did was still good. Prices are over the usual expected prices. £10.50 for an average Mocktail.

Great place with an extensive menu of great Mediterranean cuisine. I stopped off for a quick mid afternoon meal with friends. Great venue, wonderfully tasty and sumptuous food and friendly/attentive service from the staff. A must visit place.

Tasty food, good service and a nice atmosphere with a good parking option. My negative is they are giving less complementaries then other Turkish places or than that they used to many years ago. For instance, Hummus is not given any more and salad is smaller. But this is the case now in a lot of the Turkish restaurants.

Great option for Turkish as always great seating with free parking. But there is a lot of competition around with same or better quality food at lower prices.

Food was great although overpriced for the location and the surroundings. There was no specific staff assigned to an area, we kept being served by someone different each time. Place was less than half full which didn't make for a great atmosphere. Would have been good to have some ambience light and music in the background.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Ruined Our Family Celebration On 11/08/24 at around 9:30pm, I visited Gökyüzü in Chingford to celebrate with my family, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. I am compelled to share our disappointing experience in the hopes that it might lead to some improvements. From the moment we were seated, we noticed that the table had an unpleasant smell and was sticky, clearly not cleaned properly. While we tried to overlook this and enjoy our meal, the issues only continued to pile up. When our drinks arrived, the glasses were filthy and appeared not to have been washed properly. I requested a clean glass from the waiter, who assured me she would bring one back. Unfortunately, she never returned, leaving us to deal with dirty glassware for the duration of our meal. The real problem arose when our food finally arrived. The chicken wings were raw, which was not only unappetizing but also a serious health concern. We immediately brought this to the attention of the waiter, who said he would speak to the manager. However, no effort was made to rectify the situation or replace the dish. We waited for an update, but when we inquired again, the waiter simply stated that the manager had been informed and brushed it off with, "these things do happen." This dismissive attitude was deeply upsetting and completely ruined our meal. Upon requesting the bill, we asked again if anything would be done about the raw chicken, but were simply met with another apology, with no effort to make amends. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we noticed the manager casually sitting at a table, eating, while the waiter was trying to explain the situation to him. The manager appeared indifferent and unconcerned, which was incredibly frustrating given the severity of the issue. This experience was incredibly disappointing and ruined what was supposed to be a special family celebration. I hope that the management at Gökyüzü takes these issues seriously and works to improve both their service and food quality. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others based on our experience.

It is an Halal restaurant. I particularly enjoyed their steak. It was so delicious. I love the ambience too and there is ample space for parking, plus a great outdoor dining area

Visited today for a birthday meal, sat us down but was not welcomed at all with a smile or any word ,menus were chucked over the table as if they have given up with life, everyone looked miserable , we felt like were not meant to be there ,we all had belly aches hours after

Not what it used to be. Quality has gone down. Lacking flavour. We always get the jumbo platter but the portion has got so much smaller than it used to be. Really disappointed as this place used to be so good. It’s so average now

Been here many times but now the hygiene is no longer what it is. I have seen Waiters (more than one) clearing tables by picking up beer bottles by sticking their fingers in the bottle so they can pick up 4 in each hand then without washing hands getting fresh drinks for people and serving food. (Hands are touching bottles where peoples mouths have been, also beer touching there fingers then just serving people’s drinks and plates of food) it’s also very noisy inside with a rushed feel.

No one even welcomed us they just asked ,,table for two”. To be honest the worst spent 50£ they served us 2 plates with PLAIN RICE 5 pieces of chicken and supposed to come with salad and it was burned tomato and spicy plain pepper. Very poor quality not gonna visit again. Waiter asked if she can give some sauce gravy was shocked. I think I know Turkish food better than them and I make it better in home for 10£…. Really weird experience.

After our terrible experience at this place, we will never be returning and strongly urge others to avoid it as well. Despite being busy, the service was disorganized and extremely disappointing. We even had to ask for water four times before it finally arrived, and when it did, the staff was visibly angry and annoyed. Even after our meal, we had to wait a long time for tea and only received it after speaking to the manager, who was also rude and upset with us. We understand that a busy establishment can be challenging, but as paying customers, we expect and deserve better service.

Wow! Who knew about this secret haunt in the most unassuming turning from the A406 near Enfield and Edmonton would lead you to one of the most slickest and well run largest restaurants I've ever seen in London. With the gliterrati pulling into the largest makeshift gravel car park you've seen in Lamborghini and Ferraris, this popular Turkish place is a branch of the main Green lanes branch. Gokyuzu is a perfect simple formula that can handle individuals through to groups of a 100+. Seated promptly, bread and yoghurt dip was served immediately which meant we didn't eat our arms off. We went for the Jumbo platter, with a couple of extra sides which was just enough for our party of 6. Salad and cold meze were served within a couple of minutes of the order, the main platter took about 15 minutes to arrive and was perfectly cooked. We saved room for dessert but headed to the newly opened Creams in North Finchley as we wanted somewhere with ice cream sundaes. Highly recommend, very good staff and excellent fast service. Update July 2024 Lovely conservatory for big groups and generous portions. Mocktails overpriced at £10.50 but otherwise a lovely visit

Food was decent but service was absolutely horrible! Customer service was vexing. They took so long to send food out as well as providing enough drinks for our table. Glasses were dirty. No ac in the corner by the window even when requested for a fan or something. So hot. The worst thing was we asked to remove service charge and they refused because we brought a cake in. The manager was quite rude and did not offer any condolences. Overall wouldn't come back as the food is not that amazing.

The dining experience was exceptionally pleasant. The culinary offerings were delectable, and the ambiance was conducive to both formal and casual dining. Additionally, the establishment provides a designated area for children's recreation.

Possibly the most confusing restaurant I've eaten at. At times it felt like I wasn't supposed to be there. Loads of staff walking around and talking to each other, waited for 20 mins then I had to ask one of them how we order drinks? He then told me he would get someone, we waited another 5 minutes then a man with zero charisma and ability to talk took our orders. Waited 20 minutes for a lemonade, waited another 15 minutes in top of that for a cocktail. We chased it when the food had came out yet the drink still wasn't in sight. Nobody there has any manners or seems to care about service in anyway. 10% service charge was added to the bill, I paid cash, waited for the change which never came. The member of staff just assumed the change was to be kept. Maybe I'm missing something here? Is this how restaurants are done now in this area? Thank God I moved away from London.

Considering that there was alot of us, approx 50. The restaurant did incredibly well getting quality food and drinks out quickly! We all had a good time, would recommend for large group bookings.

I took my sons out for a lunch time treat and they do not disappoint. We were guided swiftly to our table and offered warm bread and dips straight away. Our order was dispatched to our table and it was freshly grilled and delicious. Kudos

Some of the waiters need to smile and be friendly, they look miserable. Cutlery wasn't on table had to ask for it and even that trying to get waiters attention wasn't easy. Service needs to be better.

Haven't visited this restaurant for 4 or 5 years. The portions got smaller and the prices got higher. Really got disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Got overpriced for what you actually get.

Terrible experience for my friend’s birthday last night. The waiters provided NO SERVICE. I had to chase to receive the drinks I ordered. I had to chase to get my full order. My friend waited over an hour to receive her birthday cake, which she (and friends after she became upset) had to chase multiple times. To make matters worse we came with multiple children and given no kids menus or informed of what was available. We were never asked if everything was ok for our food and drinks one it arrived. After this terrible experience I was then charged £5 on a £35 meal. Won’t be back in a hurry and would advise not to go here for special occasions.

Superb food. Excellent service. Great place. Ample car parking

The platter was over filled with rice really over priced. Ayran tasted awful the Worse we've ever had. The salad was made from the morning and I could tell the cucumbers and the tomatoes were gone really soft not been marinated properly the salad. When you spent £100 on food you actually want to enjoy it this was the third chance we give this place but nothings been changed we won't be visiting anymore.
