The best Greek food in North London. Reasonable priced food.

I have been a regular since this place opened. I have recommended it to many of my colleagues at work and we regularly order. I ordered for my home today and my family and I were so disappointed. Everything has changed, the service, the quality of food, the portions sizes. Nothing tastes like before. The chips are so bad now they were so good before, even the wrapping technique is not the same and the size of the wraps have gone half. Truly disappointed

Firstly I would like to say that I have ordered from here several times and I really like the food. The issue I have is that all the dish/ plate sizes are the same. If you order a large and pay an additional charge for it you still receive the same as if you had purchased a medium. So in summary nice food but they rip you off with the (not ) larger portions.

I ordered the lamb kebab and was no taste. No salt … totally plain. The Greek salad came with 2 olives and only 2 feta cheese pieces. Also I asked for add extra onion and extra lemon and I didn’t get it. I won’t order again, no taste

Today i went 5 miles to get a nice gyros like it used to be good and much cheaper. Now for 10£ gyros you get Cold food, fries was cold like were fried yesterday. Staff was lazy and rude. I was to hungry to go back and tell them to make it fresh and wait another 10 15 min. Is nothing like it use to be. I do not recommend!

Ok, I have, to be honest, I love this place and its food. I usually order through Deliveroo but this evening decided to go and collect the food. I have to say I was really put off by what I had witnessed with The hygiene, I saw one of the staff start to clean and she sprayed one of those spray cleaners to clean the steel above the chips and she dusted whatever was on top of the steel which contained the chips and it all fell into the chips plus what we she sprayed. I was completely put off and disappointed, as I had ordered chips for my little girl. I immediately got the chips cancelled and refunded. I really don't feel happy to order from them again. Sorry, but that was not cool. It's really good to see how your food is being handled!

The food is always great, naked souvlaki box is my fav, generous portion, always fresh and decent prices. The staff are fantastic! This is my favourite branch!

Human hair in chips in gyros and chips portion as well. Vile! Complained to Uber Eats and emailed the restaurant and no one even bothers to respond.

Food is always 10/10. This place has never let me down and their staff is so friendly i always think its a family owned business even though its not. I usually order to go or home delivery, either way the food is always good.

You know the food is banging if my Hungarian mum can’t stop eating and complimenting it!! I’ve been ordering from Going Greek for years. Honestly this is one of the very few local restaurants/takeaway places that’s been consistently providing fresh and great quality food for years in the Colindale area imo. I first ordered from them before the pandemic and countless times throughout lockdown. The food is always fresh and delicious! And the desserts are heavenly!

I'm a regular customer. I have been ordering with my partner a lot since they opened. The food quality has been changed a lot! Smaller portions , food taste and look is terrible now. The chips this evening was like what you can buy in a small supermarket from the freezer, no joke! The gyros meat was brutal, sauce is tiny in a small plastic thing with lid,portion of the sauce wasnt even like a spoon size and look at the salad. In social media the food is perfect, that's a lie now sorry. Very very disappointed! Same money different quality, no thank you! I'm in shock!

I am a regular customer, and usually the food is lovely, the fries are nice and fresh, however today I ordered the chicken wings for the first time and the first wing that I picked up was still with long hairy grilled feathers, and the fries were definitely double fried and was disgusting. I know the usual quality of the food at your restaurant but after this time I don’t think I will ever eat at this place again, because everything that I ordered had something wrong with it, and unfortunately I had ordered it with Uber eats so it’s not like I could return it back to the kitchen and get good quality food, so I just paid the money and stayed hungry.

Food was very nice -the Chicken meatballs were very juicy and flavoursome. Naked Souvlaki Grilled Chicken box was delicious, very fresh feta salad and very healthy. £20 for everthing with a Diet coke

Ordered from here since opening (Colindale) - always loved the food and am a regular customer. However portion sizes have evidently been reduced but prices the same. Smaller chunks of chicken and smaller salad too. Smaller everything!! Shame on you!!! It would have been better to uplift the price instead of trying to surreptitiously reduce portion sizes hoping no one would notice.

I usually order for delivery every week from this restaurant, and I have never been disappointed with the food or the service! I visited the shop today for the first time and was served by a young lady called betty, she gave outstanding customer service. The food was great and it was prepared very quickly! I would recommend coming here.

Went to this place yesterday for a quick lunch to try it. Ordered naked chicken souvlaki and a cappuccino.. I liked the idea of using bulgur with chicken, but the quantity is what I was disappointed in. For 10 pounds, quantity was less. Also, the salad had too much of salt.. coffee was worst of all.. overall not recommended

Portion size has gotten worse and worse, its a money saving tactic. You guys will ruin your business if you carry on like this, youve lost a customer for certain.

I am always greeted by a smile and happy, polite staff. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I absolutely love the chicken souvlaki wrap. They also cater for vegetarians and I would recommend Going Greek in Colindale to everyone, why not give it a try, you won't be disappointed

I never bother with reviews but the last two times I ordered there was practically no meat in the wrap I paid almost 10 quid for…the taste and quality has dropped to zero…,and my vegetarian partner found doner meat in his halloumi !! Never again !!

Going Greek is Going Down Takeaway from Colindale branch last Friday (30/10/22) around 7pm. No longer hand cut chips, they're been substituted for a cheaper precut alternative. Stale pitta bread. 7 tiny pieces of blackened dry chicken. No holes where the skewers went through because the chicken was too small to be threaded onto skewers. Cucumber, tomatoes, onions not overly fresh as in the 'old' days, but fine, no dressing or parsley detected. The only good part of the meal was the lemon, a thick fresh wedge. Obviously prices have risen with the cost of produce and electricity, but this is taking the mickey. We're fine with paying more but not when the branch is cutting corners like this. Word will spread that you're being cheap and you will lose loyal customers. This used to be such a great takeaway. I wonder if all the Going Greek branches have been ordered to cut corners this way?

The place is very small inside but you have plenty tables outside. The food is really good, i was in Greece and is exactly the same.

Guys. Usually it’s spot on But unfortunately last nights meal was a bit of a flop. I had naked chicken. The chicken was dry and burnt. The rice was hard to chew properly as it tasted undercooked. The salad tasted like it was yesterday’s salad. Still eatable but on the turn. Get it right guys. Your fast and efficient but if I was not a regular customer you wouldn’t be seeing me again. Your prices have gone up but last night the food went down in taste and freshness. Put it right. Stop trying to throw meals together. I’m not happy.

Tried to make order over the phone first time and the woman was very rude, said order will take minimum 25 mins and I asked even if I come and collect and she was like oh I can’t change the amount of time it takes to prepare the food which I understand if it’s busy but perhaps some customer service skills would be useful

Going Greek has become one of our go-to establishments when we want good food delivered to our door. Everything we’ve ordered has been great. I really enjoy the pita’s smoky grilled flavour—used as wrap for the gyros or simply dipped in the smooth and creamy tarama, it’s all delicious. I recommend the gyro (chicken and lamb are both good) over the souvlaki, as I find it tastier. The spinach pie is nice and flaky. The giant beans have good flavour, although the sauce was too salty, which is just a minor criticism. We will be ordering again at some point.

What happened? Who makes the chicken souvlaki? Did you hire new people? We’ve been ordering every week for the family for maybe 10 months now. But today… atrocious. Got stone cold pita that had ONE piece of chicken and shriveled cold potatoes. Only half of the pitas were full, the top half. Really disappointing.

Very disappointed about it i paid £3.50 for a portion of chips and a Souvlaki the chips burn and very dry i couldn't eat them i thrown in the bin ,i don't understand how can you send something like that to customers who are paying lot's of money and hoping to get a nice food,nevere ever order again.

Like so many of these places, great when it first opened, good food and good value. Now the prices have gone up (probably because of the cost of greed...or as the media call it, the cost of living) and quality has gone down. I find the vans selling similar food around Colindale offer much better value and quality and certainly better portion sizes.

The lamb is delicios. Very careful with packing, nice staff , always a pleasure to go there.

Very pleased with the food and the services from the young ladies. I ordered a naked chicken souvlaki which had bulged wheat, chicken and a lovely Greek salad and some halloumi on the side. The food was very tasty and food size was good what impressed me is that they had kids options which were good sizes my daughter loved her food. They also serve proper greek beer which went down well. I will be visiting again soon very happy with the food had to leave a review.

Its a convenient little fastfood/takeaway kind of a place. The good thing is the taste is the same within all their branches, no surprised. But the Greek freddo cappucino could be better, I tried many times but I still prefer other places for freddo cappucino. Souflski bread is just so delicious yummy..

It's almost one year from my last review of this place and I would like to compliment its continuity, it has never let me down!!! I've ordered from this specific Going Greek at any time of day, any day of the week - from peak time rush hours to off peak times (as it's my fav restaurant in this area) and they have always delivered the food on time with zero mistakes! The quality of the food hasn't changed over the year, they kept high standards and I'm sure they'll continue to. I genuinely don't understand people complaining about the prices when they spend the same amount at KFC for a chicken that is not even close to this one!! Not everything has to be FRIED to taste good!!! 😉
